I have no idea because we were covered by another agent when we cancelled. So now I'm stuck paying for this dumb offices policy & my new ones because the dumb lady in the front doesn't know how our policy in their office got reinstated when she was the one who sent me an email confirmation stating our policy was cancelled. When I called my new office to figure it out they tried to help & when I called Andrew fongs offices back the lady in the front said it's out of their hands because I'm no longer with them. Don't ever go through this office. Save yourself some time & go to Randy Nishii. Crystal & Malia & Randy are so good. SO HELPFUL. Despite being a loyal State Farm customer of nearly 20 years, I suddenly received a cancellation…read morenotice in the mail. Why? I had just moved from Honolulu to a home near the ocean. It turns out State Farm refuses to insure homes within the tsunami impact zones. Good news for other customers, I guess, but bad news from those of us in Hawaii near the water's edge. What to do? I called several major insurance companies--none of them offered coverage for my neighborhood. Finally, I asked my neighbor and learned that Allstate provides the coverage I need: home, auto, flood, hurricane, etc. I contacted the Gerald Yamane Agency in Kailua. The associate who helped me did an excellent job of responding to my questions and concerns, plus made recommendations based on my coverage needs. He gave me all the pricing and policy details I needed to make coverage decisions, then processed everything promptly so that I would have no gap in coverage. That was a few years ago. Since then, I've interacted with various people with this particular office for changes in coverage, claims, and questions. Each time I've gotten helpful, prompt, and professional service. I like the ability to pay premiums, review policy coverage, and more online yet get in touch with a real person when needed. As the slogan says, I feel I'm in "good hands with Allstate."
