Stay away from these dishonest people. Took in a 2023 Mazda CX-30, which is still under warranty. The car had engine error lights, which happened because of a bad battery, which another Mazda dealership replaced. The Scott Mazda dealership did not repair anything, reset the lights, and told us that we owe them $100 because it's not a manufacturing defect. The lights came on because of a bad battery, which failed while under warranty. Now they refuse to honor the warranty. I took my Mazda CX 30 2023 to get an oil change, and they told me that I needed all 4 new tires that I should have it done by November, they gave me a price and when I took the car to them, they changed the price to a higher price for the tires which I didn't compliant, I also got the battery replaced my car is only 2years old to need a new battery this is crazy. So between the 4 tires and the battery which I think the tires are not new they look old, I spent 1234.74 on November 20th than I picked up the car I noticed that the car was pulling to the right side and it would shake when going over 70mls I called the dealer a week later after I picked up the car ,they told me to bring it back mind you it is now December 17, 2025. I brought the car in, and they charged me 100.70 when I asked the service guy why do I need to pay ,he said to me that they don't work for free and told me that the reason the car was pulling to the right it was because I needed rotors and new breaks, I asked him why they didn't tell me that I needed new rotors and new brakes when the replaced the tires on Nov 20th, he was an Ass*ole I called to complaint and they referred me to the service manager , he tells me that they shouldn't had charged me the 100.70 to look at the car because I was bringing it due to the pulling after they installed my tires, he tells me to drop of my car on Jan 14th that they would reimburse me the 100.70 and when I went to drop it of the car, I asked for the service manager and I was told that he was off I spoke with the assistant service manager, he was sitting in the service counter and he asked me what can I do for you with an attitude I gave him my name and I told him that he should check on his computer to know why I'm there as I had spoken with the manager and all the information should be there, and he didn't say a word back so I told him I wasn't leaving my car there and he said ok with an attitude. I went here to purchase a car and was totally made a fool of. I asked the salesman what the warranty was and he said it did not come with a warranty and gave some crazy reason. He said he would " throw in a spare key" like that would make up for it. I ended up having to purchase a warranty I really could not afford. A few days later I texted him and asked him why it didn't come with a warranty he said " every car on the lot under 80000 miles has a 6 month 6000 mile warranty. He DID NOT TELL ME THIS WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR. He told me I would need it in case something happened in the 7th month. Well that is my decision. So I asked it I could cancel it and still have the original lot warranty he said yes. Then I spoke with the Finance guy to cancel the warranty and he said no I would not have the lot one. I am asking for a refund so I can refinance my loan so I can afford it. He said it will take 6 weeks to process this request!! I need to have the money at the credit union by 10/1 so they do not have to pull my credit again .... These guys totally took advantage of me and my lack of knowledge of purchasing a car. I had no one to help me with this and they did a good job of making me look like a sucker! But hey at least you got the sale !! read more

This is ONLY about Scott Mazda's service department. Not the sales department. I had a good experience with them. I own a 2020 Mazda MX-5 and in one year, it has accumulated nearly 75 chips / flaking paint on the hood only. I called Mazda corporate about it because it seemed excessive. 1 year old? They then contacted my closest dealer, Scott, and I was told to call them to make an appointment. THEY WON'T EVEN LOOK AT IT. Only 10k miles on the car. The lower painted point of the bumper has NO chips/flakes. The lowest point on the front of the car, the black front splitter has NONE. Yet the hood, much higher than both of those has 60-70. No really anywhere else on the car. To me, that means the hood was painted poorly from the factory. I told the service manager and his reply was "I don't know what your driving habits are." ....as if there is a "driving habit" that causes chips and/or flaking to occur only on the hood. I don't know who I spoke to but it was not Jason - Jason is awesome. No issues with him. This other guy, his supervisor, was hostile from the moment I called. Chewing gum or eating on the phone and being like "yeah? Whaddya want?" Just dismissive. Had made his mind up before we even spoke. Told him about my 2020 Toyota that has 12k more miles that I got 6 months EARLIER than the Mazda, which has maybe 2-4 chips on the hood, and is almost as low to the ground in the front. He basically just kept saying the same thing over and over. We don't cover that. I heard you the first time but this may be a special circumstance. Asked him to Google 2016-2021 Mazda MX-5 paint problems and lots of people have issue with Mazda's hood paint. His reply was something like "all anyone does on Google is complain." He basically told me to get lost and hung up on me. I have attached photos of just a few of the chip & flake areas on the hood below. It's unbelievable! TL;DR: their sales department is great, the supervisor of their service department is horrible. Not a surprise their rating here is so only 2/5. AGAIN: their sales department is very good. Unlike other car salesmen, his dedication didn't change after he made the sale. Out of the 7 Mazda dealerships (VA, DC, MD, PA) I went to, only Scott Mazda came close to what my trade-in was actually worth. And they made sure I got all the incentives even though I wasn't financing through them. If you are considering a Mazda (which is the only brand you should be considering in this price range), you should drive up to 5 hours to Scott Mazda because they're the best. If I could give this hell hole less than 1 star i would. Starting off, my dad has bought my mom a 2019 mazda cx-5. There is a warranty on this vehicle that we were told included free oil changes. When my mom called to inquire about the oil change they said no warrenties include free oil changes.the car is 7 months old and my dad just had to pay $1,300 for tires,rotors,brakes,and an alignment. There is no reason you should have to pay this much when your car is under warranty. Honestly don't spend you money here all they do is drag you and make you think your never gonna have to pay huge prices for your car when your honestly paying more. Bad experience so far with the financial department. I bought a Mazda 6 I Turing and nick pushes me to get a 4 year service contract insurance. When I desired to cancel it. I did fill out the form and they supposed to send it out to Zurich but they did not. I called the insurance if they have received the form and they confirmed that they never did after almost 2 weeks. Luckily I have a copy which I send out by myself. I was supposed to get my refund by mid December. I was calling and i talked with Eric and he told me that I have to call next week to figure out the issue. I was calling and I left a voice messages. No one called me back. Financial department is horrible. Be careful. I also have a tire pressure light on and I have appointment scheduled to check it. My wife purchased her new Mazda 6 here a couple of years ago, and has had an issue with noises coming from the tie rod ends and strut towers almost from the very beginning. The first time we brought the car in to Scott Mazda of Allentown, Pennsylvania they said they couldn't find anything. We also had them check out her syncing module, since she couldn't get her iPhone to pair with the car. Walt insisted that the problem is with the iPhone, and not the car, even though I showed him that on forums across the country thousands of owners were having the same problem with Mazdas. The second time I talked to the service department about the noise issue I was told that the repairs will only be covered if it is FIXED before the warranty expires, never mind that they couldn't fix it the first time. But at least they admitted that the Bluetooth module was defective and they replaced THAT. The third time we contacted them about the tie rod ends and shock towers they admitted that there were several service bulletins covering these very issues, so they WOULD fix it under warranty. We picked up our car again last week, and not only did Scott Mazda not fix the problem(s), they didn't properly secure the front bumper after servicing the car, leaving it hanging off. Part of the issue of course is how females are treated in this testosterone-fueled industry. The mechanics are all men as far as I can tell, and most men assume women know nothing about cars and that they can get one over on them. Obviously we are exceedingly disappointed in Scott Mazda and will never purchase another car from them, and are in fact soured on the Mazda brand in general. read more

I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership. The experience was unlike any car buying experience I have ever had. It was not stressful and my sales person, Dawn, was a pleasure to work with. I did not even need to haggle over the value of my trade-in. The first time they presented me with an amount it was almost exactly what I was expecting. The whole process was relaxed and no high pressure tactics were used. They took care of every detail even notifying the dealership where I bought my trade to cancel my GAP insurance and I recieved a check in the mail without having to do any of the work on my own. My vehicle was detailed perfectly in less than an hours time and ready for me to take delivery, it looked like it had just come out of the showroom! read more

I was looking at different Mazda Cx3's online and a majority of the Cx3's were within the same price range but this one had the lowest mileage and with buying a car from Scott previously I felt comfortable going back again with purchasing another car with them. I spoke with Zach and made an appointment to come in and test drive the car. I didn't feel pressured to make a decision and they were able to work the numbers I needed and felt comfortable with. Just bought a brand new CX-5. The price was great and the car is great. However, I will never buy a vehicle from Scott again. They will lie to get you in the door, try to make you sign a contract before completing the credit check, and will attempt to sell you an extended warranty with no mention of the standard warranty that comes with every new mazda or the terms of the extended warranty. Here are the 3 reasons I will never return, 1) I contacted a salesman regarding the out the door price for a new CX5 and the best financing available. The price quoted was correct, however when in the building I was told "oh that financing was only for 2015s not 2016s." Well you quoted me prices on the 2016s why would i want financing on a car I won't be buying? 2) Then after crunching the numbers to fit my budget that I arrived with, I was asked to sign a paper that if we got the terms I wanted I'd buy the car. He said working on financing, it looks like we'll get it but we need a few more minutes.I refused to sign. The reason? The fine print stated, "the buyer can void any extended offer or contract at any time prior to the contract being signed by both parties." I said, you already signed this paper before I did. I assume they do this with everyone. He walked away and within 5 seconds came back and told me I got the car at the price I wanted. Interesting. 3)I agreed to the car and went to finance. THere i was told Mazda is offering a 84mo/75K warranty that covers parts and labor on pretty much anything. I said sure, we'll take it. It wasn't until we went home that I realized that Mazda covers each new car with a 3 year bumper to bumper and 5yr powertrain warranty. This was not mentioned at all at the dealer and it also wasn't mentioned that there was a 100 dollar deductible each time I made a claim using the warranty. I was there for about 3 hours and I felt dirty the entire time. read more

I am writing a review on the Scott Mazda service department, not sales. I purchased my CX-7 in Philadelphia, and Scott is the closest dealership. I've been there twice for work that should have been covered under warranty. Both times in was treated horribly. I was made to feel like a stupid girl. This last time I brought my car in for a bad tire pressure sensor. I knew it was bad because my husband is a former ASE Master Tech. I took my car in, was made to wait forever, then told there is nothing wrong. I was shocked! I honestly don't think they even checked. Made to feel like I didn't know what I was talking about! How do I know they were wrong? I drive to Young Mazda, who checked my car, found the bad sensor, and has it fixed under warranty within an hour. I will never again go to Scott Mazda, only Young Mazda. I don't care if it's out of my way or a farther drive. I will go out of my way to be treated with respect. read more

Have been researching and pricing several different crossover vehicles from several different dealerships. I decided that I wanted to go back to Mazda one last time to see if they could match or beat the prices for the CX- 5 I got from the other brands. My current Mazda lease is up in 2 months and I am way under miles and wanted to turn in early- also wanted to stick with Mazda because (I thought) they were respectable and felt that they'd appreciate me moving onto another lease with another Mazda vehicle. I walked in and automatically felt like I was inconveniencing one of the salesman after I repeatedly said that I'd come back another day if he was too busy. I told him my pricing stipulations and he had me sign a paper saying that I would buy the car if I got the numbers I wanted. He took my car to get upraised and came back to let me know that I've been poorly taking care of my car and its in bad shape. It's a 2013 with 27,000 miles on it- it is NOT in bad shape. I am a few thousand miles over with my SYNTHETIC oil change and he blamed some noises in the engine on the fact that I haven't gotten it changed. If that's the worst thing wrong with the car- I think it's pretty well off. He tried to play it off like the car was only worth $8,000 but they were doing me a "favor" and putting it at $10,000 and gave me nearly TWICE the numbers I had asked for thinking I'd fall for it because my car is in "bad shape". My current car is LEASED, if there's an engine issue, FIX IT BECAUSE ITS COVERED IN MY LEASE AGREEMENT. If it's cosmetic, then sure I'll accept the damages. I refuse to ever return to that place, and quite frankly I am sour to the Mazda name in general now. I went back because I trusted in the Mazda brand and wanted to give, whom I thought was totally a great salesman, a solid sale. MAN WAS I WRONG. Maybe I should try bringing a man next time, then perhaps I wouldn't be made out to look like such an idiot. I was basically told they could do nothing for me and I got to my car and cried because of how poor my experience was and how disappointed I was that they didn't even ATTEMPT to treat me like a real paying customer. To anyone who has ever purchased a car from Scott Mazda, I sincerely hope all of your paperwork was filed correctly. To anyone thinking about purchasing a car from Scott Mazda, you would be better off going to any other dealership. Due to a clerical error caused by this dealership when I purchased my car 4 1/2 years ago, my husband and I were unable to ship our Mazda. We are a local military family who has recently been stationed in Grafenwoehr, Germany. Our car has not arrived as of date, nor will it arrive for another 5 weeks. Once it does get here, there is a chance that we won't even be able to pick it up because the title correction may not be completed yet. Not only has this dealership dragged their feet in solving the problem, but they are now refusing to accommodate us with a rental car. If our car would have shipped as planned, it would have arrived here March 2. We are now hoping to pick it up May 6. Therefore, 2 months without a car due to Scott Mazda's mistake, and they don't even have the decency to provide us with a rental car. I will never return to Scott Mazda and I would like to warn anyone else against patronizing that dealership. read more

Buy a car from Scott and your first service is free and you get lifetime free state inspection, plus they have Saturday service hours which helps me out since I work Monday - Friday. I really like the car I bought there 2 months ago and believe I got a good deal price wise. But they are incompetent in the office. I didn't notice this but feel it's unusual in my experience, the car was NEW and needs to be inspected. I do not have the registration yet as they totally screwed up the paperwork and put the wrong license plate number down for the tag transfer. Still not resolved. They are also in complete disbelief that my husband and I have 2 different names. Seriously? In this day and age? Been married 23 years, we keep telling them that, and they keep coming back to it like WE are trying to scam THEM!??? People say they are trying to get more money out of us? I really have no idea what they are trying to do and believe it's just total incompetence. Being 60 and having bought 10 cars in my life I have never experienced this sort of tomfoolery. We bought a left over 2016 CX-5 in June of 2017. We were promised the cross piece for the car top carrier and also that the first oil change was free. When we called for the service, nobody knew us. Our salesman wouldn't call us back, and the manager wouldn't/didn't call us back. We had the vehicle serviced at a private mechanic, at our cost, still waiting for Scott Mazda to call us back. We then called the president of Scott Mazda and got his answering service. He finally called back and said that they didn't have the cross piece for the car top carrier in stock and would have to order it. Not what we were told when we made the purchase. He said nothing about the 5000 mile oil change or reimbursing us for having to take the car elsewhere. He said he'd get back to us on all of this, and we never heard back from him. They made the sale, got your money, and they could now care less about the customer, or should I say pigeon in this case. We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to get them to comply to honor the warranty on the vehicle, and they ignored the BBB just like they ignored us. This place sells you a vehicle, and then forgets about you. We couldn't or wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. They are not a reputable or credible auto dealership. Save yourself a heartbreak and a headache and read reviews about dealerships before jumping in and purchasing a car from them. This Mazda dealer is bogus, stay away! read more

One of the best car purchase experiences I have ever had! They gave me an unbeatable price on a CX-9, gave me a competitive price on my trade--sight unseen--and treated me great every step of the way. I live in the Philly area, and drove 40 miles to pick up the car--and it was totally worth it. The only downside is that I can't take it there for service--they have a great service program for owners with free state inspections, etc. read more

Worst experience ever! Do not buy a car from this dealership. They do not know what they are doing. We did the normal thing as you do, shop around by going to each dealer to try and get the best price for our budget. We tell them that we will be trading in our car with a down payment. They run the numbers, credit good, down pay good, trade in price on our car good, and the price on the new car is good. We get all the way to buy the car and they tell us OOPS sorry we forgot to add the buy out of your car. REALLY, REALLY you basically waste two days of my time! Im fine with people making mistakes, but the manager Mark, I think that is his name (funny cant find this guys name or picture on their website, I even called the dealership to ask his name and no one will tell me) would not even try make up for his mistake. I recently went to Scotts Mazda to get a new car. I walked into the dealership 2 hours prior to closing and told them I wanted to walk out with a car that day. Well I did, only to find out I didn't get all the facts before leaving. I am a 23 year old woman, this is my first car that I am leasing on my own. To say the least, I don't know much about cars but that is what the dealerships are supposed to help with. No, not Scott Mazda. They took advantage of my lack of knowledge on specific leasing details. They took my old leased car and charged me for the switching fee. I have called other dealers and they all told me they have never heard of them charging for that, they usually waive it as a sign of good business, not Scotts. I also told them I wanted my payments at $260 a month. They said perfect they would do it. So I signed the papers only to figure out that that $260 a month was not including taxes and fees. Well how am I supposed to know that if I never leased a car?! I was totally blind sided when I was asked to put $284 on my card at the end of the night. I also realized that the car did not have a CD player in it. My salesman and manager were so eager to tell me all the new features the car contained but didn't both to tell me the feature they took out of the car. It was a recent feature because the 2013 Mazda 3's have CD players in it. I then asked if I could get a different car with a CD player in it. He said no there was nothing he could do unless I wanted to pay more for another car or pay to get it installed. I kept telling him how upset I was with my service and how unhappy I was with my brand new car. I went out on a limb in leasing from a new car company and this is what I get. I was planning on buying this car after the lease and now I cannot wait to trade it in!!! read more
