I purchased an Apple Notebook Neo 13-inch computer from Scott, who charged me $999.00 plus tax. I returned to his store to inform him that the same model is sold for $600.00 at the Apple Store and $587.00 on Amazon. He explained that he needed to open the box and plug it in to ensure it was functioning properly. I pointed out that if I were to purchase the item at an Apple Store, they would likely perform such checks without charging me an additional $300 over the retail price. He responded that he needed to make a living. Additionally, I bought a used Apple desktop computer from him, and upon setting it up in my office, I noticed a blue line extending down the entire screen. At one point, he shouted at me and my brother, instructing us to leave his store. This experience has dissuaded me from supporting local businesses there in the future. After seeing the other reviews I can tell this companies business model is to buy junk sell it as a good equipment and then charge you again when you come back because its not working 2 months later. I purchased a laptop and it stopped working 2 months later. I brought it back and they told me the motherboard was junk. They wanted me to pay over $200 tell me the computer I just bought was junk 2 months after I bought it. Buyer beware. read more

I wrote a poor review of Scott six years ago, He has now posted that it was a fake review and that I'd never been in his shop. It was a miserable experience that I'd long forgotten about but it certainly did happen. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company. I dropped off a laptop for repair and waited two weeks for a return call. They told me it would cost $575 to fix which I declined. Now they are demanding $85 for a diagnostic fee that I was never informed of, nor did I sign any document advising me of this fee. They are telling me if it's not paid they are sending my account to collections. Better Business Bureau, Attorneys Generals Office Consumer Affairs and/or Small Claims Court will be involved. PLEASE read the other reviews, I'm not the first consumer to have a complaint like this. Be warned !!! Update: After assistance from the local police department I was able to recover my laptop. This was after the owner told me the laptop had been sent to collections. I then brought the laptop to Best Buy where they informed me they ship the laptop out and there is a fee of $35. I was asked to sign documentation indicating that this fee would be subtracted from the repair or if I did not go ahead it was non-refundable and would be applied towards shipping. Three days later I got a call from Best Buy informing me that the fee to repair the laptop was $360 (not $575!). Hence, savings of $215, $35 diagnostic fee vs $85 fee and a much better customer experience. read more

We had Scott come in to fix our Quick Books problem with our network. After 2 hours of head scratching and complaining about his local competitor and employees he claimed that it was fixed. It was not. As a matter of fact we had to call someone to fix the mess that he made. He sent me a bill which I refuse to pay. Now he has a collection agency coming after me. Buyer beware, don't use this company. I am sure he will post his rebuttal but this is all true. Take me off collections Scott and do what is right. read more

Scott calls me today at 10:32 and said that he reported a bad credit rating on me. First off, I do not owe him or this company any money what so ever!! Nor did I ever. He said he has an attorney/collection agency after me... FOR WHAT??? I asked him for his attorney's name and would NOT give it to me.... WHY NOT?? Scott then proceeded to try to get me to change my review and he would remove the bad credit report.....I would love to see how the courts view that. Every thing in my review was and is accurate and truthful. Scott now says he will leave a bad report on my company....My review is on my experience with Scott and his company, and is Truthful. I had a terrible experience with Scott Networks. They sold me a "new" computer that an authorized repair shop said was "filled with junk components." When I took the commuter back to SN to have a virus taken out of it within 2 weeks of owning it (they did the downloading), they said it would cost $350 to do. I got a competitor to do it for $150.00. The long of the short of it, within one month of buying my computer from Scott Networks, I had to literally throw the computer out and buy a new one from another source. read more

Just bought new Mac from Scott's Network.So much better buying local and dealing with Scott rather than going to Apple store

My laptop was shutting down after a few seconds of operation. Took it to Scott. After looking at it he told me it would probably be a costly fix and then he tried to sell me a used laptop. Instead I bought a new one elsewhere and asked him to transfer the data from the old to the new. A few hours later they called to tell me that my hard drive was fried, nothing they could do. I picked it up and it took it home. An hour later, another guy in town was transferring the data for me trouble free. In fact, turns out there was nothing wrong with my laptop in the first place--it was simply overheating. I blew air into the fan vents and presto--problem resolved. His diagnosis was wrong, he charged me $85, he was much more interested in selling me a computer rather than fixing anything and he scared the hell out of me by saying the hard drive was fried.
