This is a really great company to work with and highly recommend them. The technicians who come out are always super friendly and helpful. They have always fixed my issues without any additional costs (like trying to sell me a new garage door opener when it wasn't needed). We've been using Scott Overhead Door for our garage door needs now for several years and are extremely satisfied with their service and product. We have a non-standard garage door that a previous company had fitted with an incorrect spring -- Scott came out and measured the door, weighed the door, and was able to replace with a custom spring the next day. When our 20 year old garage door opener finally gave out, we called Scott. Johnny reviewed the unique layout of the tight space came up with a solution that took into account the bedroom above the garage (and corresponding noise concerns) as well as making sure that corners were not going to be cut and the opener would be installed correctly and function well for years to come. Scott Overhead Door is very prompt on answering and returning calls, and Johnny and all the technicians have been very professional and polite. They stand behind their work and it is a good feeling knowing you've got a team working to get the job done and done well. Highly recommended if you have overhead door needs! read more

Scott installed three new garage doors in our renovated 100-year old barn/garage. There isn't a single plumb or level line, so it was definitely not an easy job, but they did great. They were here all day and didn't leave until it was dark and the job was done. We greatly appreciated how patient they were and that they took the time to do the job right. Can't beat these guys in terms of quality of work, speed of getting over to you, and thoroughness in making sure your garage issue/problem is NOT going to recur. Their customer service is exceptional too. I have used Scott's O/H Door since we moved to Frankfort (which was decades ago now (how time flies...)) & have always had top-notch trustworthy service at very reasonable prices which is why I felt I should post this for them. Stop your search for a dependable and efficient garage door/opener service: Scott Overhead Door is who you need to phone, right now! From the initial point of contact through the completion of work, the service was white-glove. My initial call was answered by informed staff. Messages were promptly returned, even on a Saturday. Scheduling was easy, and efficient. They went out of there way to get us scheduled within a day of phoning. The technician, Chad, was extremely polite, but he was a professional with experience that was reassuring. There was no pressure to make any purchases or add extras. That said, when I asked about a new WiFi enabled opener, Chad was able to explain the features and differences in technology and security. The choice was easy. I had several companies that came out, one just told me he would get back to me and never did. And the other guy just came and didn't even look at closely and just told me it would cost $1800 to replace the garage door opener. US Overhead asked me what the issue was and asked me to send them pics and then came out the next day and was able to fix it in less than an hour. And the price was very reasonable. His 18 year old nephew and another worker came out the second day after l expected someone. He said he'd tried to call me but there was no answer. Knowing that my cell phone was shaky, l let it go. After the nephew and the other worker examined the door, they tightened the screws and installed a new opener. However, the door sounded rickety, and was slow and shaky. When l questioned why, l was told that the door was old and should be replaced, at least within the next 2 years. Then when l realized they were leaving l asked about operating the new system. The nephew, with a smile, told me to download the app and read the instructions. Immediately, they packed up their things, and left with their ladder and my $342.00. Within a few minutes, l realized that they also had not installed a working light bulb in the new ceiling opener. I immediately called the nephew's cell, left a message. No one returned my call. At my age (71) l knew not to find something to step on to reach the ceiling. So l stood in the doorway while my repaired door shook its way up and down closing me inside an area left pitch black. I finally remembered that there was an inside light not connected to the opener. I will not recommend this business.

We had a special request for the deck gate, we wanted it to be a gate we could slide back so that we didn't have a swinging door always in the way, and he delivered on that! I am not related or even friends with this company, but I did want to do a review because the guy came over asap when I needed service with the garage door and openers. Called Scott's shortly after they opened on a Monday because a garage door spring broke Sunday evening. Michelle gave me time frames when a tech could come out. Johnny came out and was professional, polite, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. In addition to replacing the springs, the rollers needed to be replaced also.
