I've always had a great and speedy service here but Debra was awesome and made me feel relaxed on this visit. I made an appointment for 12:45 and checked in 15mins before my appointment and sat down for maybe 5 minutes before my number was called. I brought with me so many paperwork and documents to renew my driver's license and Debra said hold on you may not need all of it which took a heavy load of my shoulders. After a few questions about my mental state, if I've had a seizure moment and voters choose. It was than time to take a photo for my new license and $69 payment. Debra was able to get me out around 1:05. It would have been sooner but I was just talking to her about how in New York you would be in the DMV for at least 4 to 6 hours before I left 10 plus years ago. Very disappointing experience at the West Oaks Mall DMV. Unfortunately, this is not my first negative experience at this location; the customer service has consistently been poor. I came to assist someone as a translator for his appointment. The employee at desk 34 asked for his immigration documents (without being specific about what was needed), and he mistakenly thought he did not have them. We started to leave, but before exiting through the automatic doors, he realized he had his work permit and immediately returned to provide it. The employee stated that she had already closed the appointment and had the next customer waiting. I understood the schedule, but I politely asked if she could see him after the next customer since the appointment had taken less than a minute. Instead of showing understanding or attempting to find a solution, she refused in a dismissive manner. I then spoke with the manager, who stated they had 70 other customers waiting. I acknowledged that, but explained that this situation could have been resolved quickly if they were willing to assist. People who work directly with the public should have strong customer service skills, including patience, professionalism, and the willingness to help when possible. Unfortunately, both the employee at desk 34 and the manager made me feel that they lacked these qualities. As public employees, their salaries are paid by taxpayers, and citizens deserve to receive respectful and professional service in return. Someone who treats the public poorly does not represent the level of service that taxpayers deserve. I hope this interaction is reviewed and that appropriate feedback or corrective action is considered. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy. read more

Dear Sirs, On January 9th, I had a terrible experience at the University Boulevard Office Gate 11, scheduled for 2:15 PM. The attendant who served us was completely rude, relentless, raised her voice for no reason and tried to find difficulties to make our visit useless. Despite presenting all the necessary documentation to obtain the Florida ID (valid passport, visa, I-94 and proof of address), maintaining her rude manner from the beginning, she first started questioning the name on the passport (the same as on the I-94) and then refused my proof of address (I presented correspondence from Bank of America and Scott Randolf!!!! correspondence of notice of renewal of license of the Tax Collector), since my house is registered under the name of my LLC company. Despite the proof of address presented, she did some kind of research and started yelling "this is an LLC, this is an LLC" and threw the documents back, ending the service. Stating that it is my home as registered on my driver's license for the past 12 years did not change her mind. May 28, 2020 This location is apart of a mall. Upon arrival, the line situation was a mess. There was one security guard with a mask helping everyone (about 50 people standing somewhat in a crowd, slightly trying to distance). Understandably, people were crowding a little because they didn't want to get booted to the end of the line or be late to their appointment. No one could enter until their appointment time and proof from a text. The guard told the 9:30am appointments to line up (including myself). We were standing as close as a normal line since there were no social distancing guidelines outside of this location. The guard began yelling instructions really fast and no one could hear him. We told him we couldn't hear, asked him to repeat, and held up our hands to our ears to indicate, and got nothing. When my appointment got closer, I went inside. A machine took our picture and I sat in the waiting area. Some chairs were blocked off, but I thought they were poorly taped because although most rows were taped to be 6 feet apart, the end cap chairs sitting back-to-back were not taped off so you could sit directly behind someone. Staff were all wearing masks and everything looked very organized and clean. This was my 2nd appointment within two weeks. I went to the new building off 417/Lee Vista Blvd my first time and had the incorrect documents to transfer my car registration/car title from another state. I was really upset because the person I spoke to on the phone misinformed me. :( I got different answers every time I spoke to someone. I almost didn't get my new car title/registration this time because of another document I didn't have, It was the first time I had heard about this document so I was about to cry if I had to make a 3rd appointment, but the clerk ended up letting it slide. Mind blowing!! Went for Drivers license purposes. This place was well equipped with technology that is painless and time saving. There are kiosks where you can make appointments. There is a large area for seating where you basically sit and wait until your number is called. There are screens for you to see the progress. If you make an appointment online then you won't need to join the kiosk line which saves time to not make a line at the door before they open. Environment This is located inside the West Oaks Mall. So there is plenty parking outside. Niceness of the staff I wouldn't say they are the nicest people but it is understandable, they deal with a lot of people a day. When I ordered my tag online but didn't get the personalized tag I requested, I had to make an appointment online for an in person tag service. I was a bit reluctant to come to the West Oaks office but it was the most convenient location for me. When you get there they have an outer holding area and call you into the checkpoint line based on your appointment times. Checkpoint line includes verification of your appointment for the correct date and time, temperature taking and hand sanitization before you enter the general lobby. After this procedure, you enter the general lobby where chairs are taped for social distancing. You watch screens for your number and when it comes up on the screen telling you which window to approach (AND you get a text on your phone telling you to go to the same window) you proceed to the window. It's very easy! The woman who served me was very helpful, positive and made appropriate suggestions. She was a doll!! I would definitely recommend this office for convenient helpful and courteous tag, tax, and license services! read more

I was blown away by the new tag office located in the West Oaks Mall. It is by far the cleanest and and largest that I have visited before. I recommend signing in online before leaving your house to save time and skip over having to use the sign in kiosks. When you first walk in there are several kiosks where you sign in and receive your number. Afterwards you walk through a door and down a short hallway to a very large waiting room. There are large screens that display numbers and matching service windows. Through that room is another door into an extremely large room with lots of service windows. Everything went super quick and I was amazed by how friendly the experience was. We were in and out of the building in 20 minutes flat. read more

This is one of the nicest DMV I have ever been to. I was able to make an appointment online prior to arriving. When I got there my number was called immediately and went to the double sliding doors where your number is called. I made an appointment to renew my tags and didn't see the renew DL online. The clerk was nice enough to also renew my DL for me. Once you pay and take your picture you head over to the DL pickup area which was also quick. The clerk told me that a few DMV locations merge together to create this one . Located next to the AMC theater. There is an entrance from the outside if you do not want to go through the mall. Glad there is no wait and hassle to go to the DMV cause before it was very dreading to go. read more

Seriously the easiest process and pleasant experience! My boyfriend had an appointment at 12:30 and I made mine for 1:30, both getting driver's licenses. We booked appointments two weeks in advance. We went in and sat down at 12:14, he went back at 12:30 and was finished at 12:45, we grabbed lunch at the food court and then went back for my appointment. Again, only waited 5-10 minutes and I was called back. Super easy, friendly staff, just read the requirements for your appointment online before going and you shouldn't have any issues. You get to retake your ID photo if it isn't good, and you have a little epad to sign on. The vision test is easy and they give you wipes to clean it off. The flow of the office is super efficient and easy to follow. There's a help desk too and you get your ID there before you leave. I will definitely be coming back to this location when I need DMV services. Just be a nice human, patient and respectful and you'd be surprised how nice things can be!! read more

I am from Orlando and been in business for four decades and must say this is the worst department I've dealt with in a long time. First I had to renew my Business Tax License by paying on line at FastRack- no problem. but then had to go down in person to pick it up last year ! Makes no sense to do one part and require another step to get it. Then this year I paid my renewal on 9 September because my Certificate expired 30 September. I do not have a Certificate yet. I called in the week before it expired and was told it would be mailed. NO CERTIFICATE yet. I just called again-understanding that the hurricane may have held things up and was told it takes two weeks or so. read more

Only been here once to renew my tags. Made an appointment online the night before. Showed up, the waiting room is fairly big with screens all around to show what ticket number or phone number is next. If you make an appointment or "get in line" online, you will be called up by the last four digits of your phone number, so listen out for that. They will tell you what window to go to. There are two double doors, one for windows 1-22 I believe and the other for windows 22-60, or something close to that. I was literally with the clerk for 5 min or less. It was so quick and painless lol. If you have to go to any DMV for any services, I would suggest checking the site for the ones that take appointments, it will just make your day and life that much easier! read more

I made an appointment to renew my tags about 2 weeks before. When I arrived, it was not that busy. I thought I was checking in on one of their kiosks, but I had actually joined their virtual queue. Literally my number was call a minute after. Within minutes I had my new stickers and was headed out the door. This was all before my original 1000 appointment time. I am not sure how long this office has been in the West Oaks Mall, but it is by far the fastest and most pleasant experience I think I have ever had at a tag office. read more

I made my appointment on line but was never called. I checked with the man at information & the phone number was wrong. No problem. He told us to go to number?, we went no one there. Tonda came & offered to take care of us. And mind you it was right at lunch time! Well apparently when our tag was transferred at the dealer ship it was done incorrectly, we had a 2 year tag & they only transferred for one year. Tonda had to get her supervisor Fabi to help. They were both great & were able to explain what happened & what the dealer did wrong. This is the second time we have had a dealer mess up when transferring plates. The worker who helped me was named Lee and he was incredibly friendly, helpful, and a joy to interact with. Very satisfied! I went to the DMV last week and even after I was late for my appointment they helped me make a new one instead. It was for that same day! I was on break from work so I was nervous that I would have to miss my second appointment to return to work. But, after I rescheduled my appointment I was called in roughly 5 minutes later! The staff and security there are quite friendly and helpful. Everyone I asked was quite knowledgeable and answered my questions competently. I went to get a new drivers license and was out within 15 minutes after I was asked the basic questions required of me. The woman who assisted me was funny but still kept it very professional. Typically a DMV no matter where you go would be as difficult as pulling a tooth! I was happy to hear this location popped up right near my work. When I went inside as soon as you walk in there are electronic podiums where you can get your ticket or schedule an appointment if you plan to wander the mall a bit. They also have an option for text reminders to let you know how long until your seen and update you if that changes, which station you'll go to, and they'll notify you when they are ready to see you. I've only been there twice but the service there definitely left a great impression on me! read more
