Every…read moremajor milestone has been celebrated here--birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, new jobs, and everything in between. It's always the first restaurant we recommend to friends and family visiting Columbia. One of the things that makes this location so special is that it's family owned and operated. Every time you visit, you're likely to see a member of the family working, whether they're serving tables, bartending, or greeting guests at the register. That personal touch is something you don't find everywhere, and it's one of the reasons we keep coming back. Most recently, my boyfriend and I celebrated both of us starting new jobs here, just like my family has done for so many other milestones over the years. It felt like the perfect place to mark another exciting chapter. As for the food, you really can't go wrong. The fajitas are always a favorite, especially with the chunky guacamole and queso. If you're looking for a huge sandwich, the Tony's Torta definitely lives up to its reputation. And of course, the margaritas are always a must. Great food, friendly people, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere keep us coming back year after year. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food in Columbia, this is the place I always recommend.

Well deserving of 5 stars all day and let us start with the experience. Reading from their website and Google, they're only open at the Irmo location on Saturday's 11-4PM which I wish were open more days for those days I'm craving BBQ during the week after a long day at work. But that's okay, Saturdays are perfect for BBQ too!! Walking in, you're greeted by a women who just was as welcoming as ever. She was super sweet and answered any questions we had, and there was a continuous smile on her face taking my mother and I's order. The guy who delivered our food called our number and recapped what we ordered and ensured sauce and forks were in the bag. Service was very fast and we waited no longer than 10 minutes for our food. Arriving at home, I immediately looked at the plate and BOY did it look good !! Having it in the car on the ride home, OMG did it smell sooo good! Smelt fresh, smoky, and just mouth watering to want to dig in immediately. I decided to get the 1/2 Rib Plate that came with 2 sides. I got baked beans and mac and cheese for my sides. I also got some of their peach cobbler but we'll talk about that last. But can we please talk about the portion sizes for the price ! $15 a plate and we got two totaling out to about $34 including the peach cobbler. I started with the baked beans. They seemed to have a hint of their BBQ sauce maybe in it but it was very delicious and warm. I was pleased with my decision in trying those. Next, I moved over to the mac and cheese. Warm, soft noodles, melt in your mouth, type of side. I think it needs a bit more cheese to make it more creamier but with the hefty portion too, I would get it again. Now, the star of the show...the ribs. Ribs were tender, fall off the bone, finger licking good !! Although in my opinion they taste better with sauce, my mother (who is a sauce-less type of girl) thought they tasted perfect without it. I tried it with the mustard base and the tomato base sauce and each with a rib tasted sooooo good!! My favorite was the mustard base for sure. You get a good amount of ribs for the price and they're big and lengthy. I promise you won't be disappointed. Towards the end of this review, it's time to assess the peach cobbler. For $4, you get a good amount. Looks like there's a cinnamon coated crust ontop. Opening it up, it smelled delicious. I expected it to come warm but it was cold but no worries, i popped a section in the microwave and BABYYYY !!! That by far is the best peach cobbler I've ever had. The serving I had has the right amount of peaches and the right amount of crust and everything else. You definitely won't be disappointed. I was highly pleased with deciding to give Smoke It Up today for the first time. I would come back and try those turkey wings next time or something else on the menu. For the price, the customer service, and the ambiance it was all well worth it. With this restaurant being so close to home, I have found my new go to BBQ spot!!! I wanted to take a picture when I first opened it, but as you can see, between the smell and the looks, I had to dive in !!

We arrived about 30 minutes before closing and was kindly greeted. There were a few donuts left in the case and I chose the Biscoff, Oatmeal Pie, Classic Chocolate Sprinkle, and what looked like Churro with caramel swirl. I also got a funnel cake and 2 scoops of the Cappucino Crunch ice cream for my wife. The donuts were delicious!!! I had to stop myself from eating them in one sitting. They were not lying when they said they didn't need a fresh donut light! 30 minutes before closing and the donuts tasted so fresh! The Chocolate sprinkles was really good, can't go wrong with a classic. The donut itself (for all of them) was so fluffy and airy and had that delicious donut tatse. The chocolate frosting wasn't overly sweet and it had the perfect amount of sprinkles on it. The Oatmeal Pie donut was also really good. I like that they include an Oatmeal pie piece on there. The Biscoff donut had to me my fave out the bunch. It was packed with different textures and flavors. The white frosting was absolutely devine. I would say I would prefer the crispy pieces to be a bit more fresh to get that crunchy texture. I also thought this one tasted more like oatmeal pie than the actual oatmeal pie donut but they were both still delicious. The churro donut was perfectly seasoned with cinnamon and sugar. I would have loved more caramel sauce on that one but again, still delicious. Overall I truly enjoyed the vibe here. Everyone was so friendly. It very spacious so if you want to sit inside and enjoy your treats you can. They also have a variety of other things like hot foods, coffee, lemonade, and fried oreos. I will definitely be back to try more!

Definitely a spot you want to hang out and snap pics in. Now the donuts... SO good. The hot mini donuts were fresh, soft, and covered in powdered sugar perfection . The loaded funnel cake with cookies, chocolate drizzle, and powdered sugar was over-the-top in the best way -- sweet, crunchy, and totally worth it . Everything tasted fresh and made with care, and the presentation alone had me excited before the first bite. If you're craving something sweet and fun, this is definitely a must-stop spot! Catch them at Soda City or storefronts in Cola.
