That's the book I had to read to be funny. Oh man, wish I read it earlier!
    Myrat B.

The first time I came to the studio to take audition technique classes Scott Sedita was as I remember him from the cover of his book. And it clicked I said to myself "Of my God, I know this guy, I read his book (partially, because my roomate gave me to read it a little and he moved out after a few days and that was that, although I bought plenty of books about acting and that book was in the mix, never got around to reading it)". Scott made a joke and I genuinely laughed. I remember feeling good, feeling as if I was home. I thought "this is way different than other studios I've been to". I came back home and looked for the book and I read it for a few days (slow reader, huh?), crying from time to time and laughing. I took 3 months of audition technique with Scott and Deborah (Deborah Quale is the nicest woman, I love her so much, also she's a great teacher) and after, at the end there was an evaluation. I could feel I've changed, it was a weird feeling, but I needed to know which way and what has changed. A few months later I realized that I've become more open, more confident, and most of all I've grown as an actor. Taking a break from acting - and a longer one due to financial reasons - I realized that I'm addicted to acting (thank God it's acting, right?), I started making YouTube videos but that wasn't enough. I had to come back, I did and I'm so happy that I did, and now I'm in Scott's Professional Class (online Zoom, because of the pandemic) and rocking it every week. I'm so happy that I can break down the script, do imagination work, rehearse, work with my classmates to tape and come to class watch the self tapes, get critiqued, learn, perform live in class, it's just absolute bliss. Scott Sedita knows you and if you let him he will help you to become a disciplined, well trained and confident actor. He prepares the actor for the real world of show business, he will teach you how to book a role. He prepares you for what may come, and he cares about you, that's rare, but it's him, he cares, thank you Scott! Until recently I thought I'm a drama actor and I couldn't do comedy, although some of my friends find me funny, but I couldn't do it for the screen. Boy was I wrong. The Eight Characters of Comedy A Guide to Sictom Acting and Writing changed everything. I just didn't know the technique. It was easy to read and I realized how I could make lines work to make them funny. "Where were one of the characters when I needed them?" But it was my fault, I should've read this long time ago! Scott Sedita Studios is my 2nd home (I'd call it my first home but I can't live there). And everyone I met and know at the studio: Erin ever so nice and quick to help and Deborah I miss her sweet voice and remember her lessons, Tony who is (funny just to think about him) nice and personable. The fam! Thank you for all you've given me and all you will give me in the future. As I'd like to say these days: Acting is like oxygen that needs constant consumption. SCOTT SEDITA STUDIOS has become my oxygen farm for my acting. The more I go there the better I get. For now and forever! Myrat Bayram

I came here with friends to watch Rayuela Hacia EL Mas Alla. It was all in Spanish, but for those like me that only have 2 years of high school Spanish, there were subtitles projected on the top of the stage. The play was a dark comedy with a little bit of everything. It had humor, drama, terror, a love story and a "non-hollywood ending." Going in with an open mind and not knowing what the play was about, I was blown away. Parts of the play made me think of Guillermo Del Toros Pans Labyrinth and Kurt Vonnegut from my AP English class in high school. With its morbid beauty and dystopian setting. It amazed me how such a large story could be played out on such a small stage with just a few actors through the use of lighting, minimal props, and and the expression of those actors. Kudos to Laura Santa Cruz and Manuel Chitay for a wonderful performance. It was very creative how they used the same projector to animate the clocks and show the passage of time. As well as (not to give anything away) execute certain scenes. This play is very unique in the sense that every few weeks they change the ending and have a different actress. Which not only brings a different take on the story but keeps you coming back for more.

Originally opening in 1926 as Hollywood's largest legitimate theater, it has hosted everything from Broadway productions to iconic film premieres, including Citizen Kane. After a meticulous restoration led by The Walt Disney Company, the theater reopened in 1991 and has since become Disney's flagship theater on Hollywood Boulevard. Today, it serves as Disney's home for world premieres, special events, live stage shows, and screenings of both new releases and beloved classics. The theater's stunning architecture and historic significance even earned it Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument status. I have seen countless Disney films here over the years and every visit feels special. The atmosphere, the themed displays, and the beautifully restored interior make it feel much more memorable than a typical movie theater outing. Another bonus is the convenient parking. You can park directly across the street at Ovation Hollywood and with validation from the theater, parking is just $3 for up to four hours. Whether you are a Disney enthusiast, a movie lover, or simply appreciate Hollywood history, the El Capitan Theatre is a true Los Angeles gem and well worth a visit.
