Parking can be tricky, you can park in the garage next door for pay, or street parking for pay (depending on the hours of the day & day of the week), or you can park in neighborhood street parking (free) couple blocks away. The venue is close by market with food vendors or nearby restaurants and museum. Really enjoy every time I'm here seeing a play.

I arrived a little bit over 10 minutes late due to traffic and I did not see anyone at the front. Someone had to go find the person that worked at the box office to come and she said that they over sold the ticket to the event. At first, she said that they waited 10 minutes then she changed it to seven minutes. Thought they waited for me to check in then they gave up my seat. I pay for the ticket ahead of time so I lost out on money because the theater made a mistake of overselling. I asked her if there's a way of getting a refund and she said that I can try but most likely not. At all cost avoid this theater because they will sell your seats away, even if you paid for them already.

Checked out the incredible jazz singer Natalie Jacob recently at this great little neighborhood…read moregem. A historical building tucked into a park, this is a terrific venue to see live music. It's a cozy spot, and features great acoustics. There is a variety of different seating available, and we ended up in the very last row of the risers. Great view, but the risers were shaking as the audience grooved to the great music we were treated to on this evening. I was a bit bothered ny the shaking, but I was the only member of my party who even noticed. There is a free parking lot on Wilshire, but we found street parking that was closer. Tickets were accessible at $10 each, and I hope that more jazz shows will be presented at this venue - we will definitely be back.

This is a small 198 seat theater in McGowan Hall opposite from the Freud Playhouse…read more They have wonderful, quirky little productions here like Andrew Dawson's "Quatre Mains" last winter. The whole production was just one and sometimes two pairs of hands on a table. You'd think that would get old after a few minutes but you would be wrong. They did the moon landing. It was fantastic. Too bad they didn't stage it again a few weeks back at the 40th anniversary.

A friend invited me to CineVita for Teen Beat Live and I honestly had no idea what I was getting…read moremyself into. We parked in PS3 garage just around the corner from CineVita. There's a lot of development still happening in the area so the area around CineVita looked kind of rough but there was a dirt path lined with some trees to get to the venue which literally faces SoFi Stadium. I can't imagine how congested it would be if you had tickets to a show and there was also something going on a SoFi. Picnic area/bar/food stations were outside the venue. Concession stand and bar was also inside the venue. The queuing to get scanned in didn't make sense to me and felt like it took way longer than it should and it was not even that busy yet. They have mobile ordering at the table so I ordered a slice of Pepperoni pizza. I've seen comments saying the food isn't good, but it's more or less the same quality food at a movie theater or at the stadium. It was expensive and fine for what it was, but I fully expected that. One thing I'll say is the wine selection was pretty good and so was the liquor selection. Clearly they could tell that the audience attending CineVita was not your typical sporting event beer drinking crowd. Show was supposed to start at 7:30pm supposedly but didn't really start until 8pm. There was a quick intro speech highlighting the venue itself which is a Spiegel tent. Thought it was a pretty well made temporary structure. Seating for the shared tables was very crammed. So much that even the servers had trouble passing by which seemed not great in case of an emergency. Given the larger size of Americans, don't think these small tables should have more than 4 max at a table for the most optimal experience. There were 8 of us crammed at my table and it was a pretty uncomfortable experience. Fortunately I was in an aisle so was able to spill over into the aisle a bit, but I felt bad for the couple that was at the front of our table and on the other side who was wedged between people from two other tables. Nobody wants to be that close to each other! Performances for Teen Beat Live definitely were nostalgic for me as someone born in the 80s. Lots of great classic 80s songs were performed throughout the show and seeing this is LA, the performers were excellent! I definitely was dancing in my seat the entire time! Restroom facilities are a fancy porta potty that are very tight inside. Knowing the venue was a portable tent, I thought they had the nicest quality of porta potties at least. Overall a great experience. I hope they take guest feedback about seating and the overall flow getting into the venue into account and work out the kinks as I definitely think the concept itself has potential.

The singers and dancers did an incredible job and deserved the standing ovation they received. The theme itself was fun but I think they can do more with a story. It felt very Vegas or cruise ship, instead of clever and quirky LA immersive plays. Drinks and food are pretty pricy but they sell off the pizzas for $10 at the end of the evening (which I appreciate).

As a amateur cosplayer/dapper day enthusiast I hardly ever get a chance to use my vintage threads because there aren't many venues which allow you to wear your swing era fashion. However from the moment I approached the Clifton's Canteen, I was immediately greeted by an array of 1940's classic cars and a red carpet marking the venue.It was awe-inspiring to see all the players dressed to the tens both guys and dames in classic Navy, Army, MP military uniforms. As you walk through the beautiful entrance way you are transported into the sights, sounds, smells of a 1940's canteen military ballroom. Golden standards fill the air, friendly patrons dressed in classic formal gowns, gent in suits, A-line dresses, tuxedos, sweater sets, zoot suits,bobby sockers and dapper gents move about the 3-story building in the cafeteria, lounge, two bars, conservatory, ballroom dancefloor, live music stage, various seating lounges and numerous photo op displays. The Creating Arts Studios crew are real professional who engage and immerse you in the era of the event. They stayed in character both on stage and most importantly off when they were engaging with the guest. The host channeling Bing Crosby was the best portraying smooth charisma, saucy wit, high class and swoon worthy voice. The Andrew sisters performance was a definite show stopper having everyone sing along and they could really harmonize. The young lady singer, Patty Page, I think was so great and loved her sultry romantic ballads. My favorite by far way the two MP solider singers who literally had people in tears with the songs they sang and the great performances to boot. If you ask nicely with a big smile the male actors might dance with you when they aren't on stage....talk about worth it lol. Plus they weren't too hard on the eyes, if you get my drift ladies. This type of classy, timeless and fun event is exactly the type of venue others like myself having been yearning for years. I want to thank all the crew, singers, band, the Clifton's cafeteria workers (who also were in character by the way which thought was great touch) for making this a magical experience for me. Without a doubt in my mind this company and these events will be become even bigger success in the very near future. Oh yeah by the way their performance end at ticket time but DO NOT book it for the door. The secondary fun begins after the show when the swing era dj puts on lively swing hits and classic slow dances of the time fulling up the upstairs ballroom with dancers of all ages and levels. I saw older couples slow dancing, young people lindy hopping, a foxtrot and tons of cool people grabbing a drink and laughing with friends. Thanks Creating Arts studios for a night I could only dream up and next time I will definitely be bringing along as many people as I could gather to these awesome events.

My boyfriend and I have seen two shows at this small and intimate performance venue on the east…read moreside of Santa Monica. We have seen both "The Experiment" and "Chicabarent" which we just saw on Friday evening, May 20th, 2016. Chicabarent was a combination show of Chicago, Cabaret and Rent. I really am not going to go into a great and lengthy description, because you can't describe these shows accurately in a Yelp review. You must see them for yourselves. The shows are amazing, though provoking, entertaining and lots of audience interaction (which we love). The cast of both shows have been absolutely stunning! Please see a show here. It is simply a great experience. How could you not love this place?
