Beautiful work on my kitchen lighting.

Scott did a fantastic job on my house. I hired him and his team to remove acoustic ceilings, paint walls, install new doors, paint kitchen cabinets, and install can lighting in my kitchen ceiling. Scott's team arrived on time every day. They were friendly and professional and left my house in excellent condition every day. Their work looked beautiful when finished. The job was completed in less time than Scott estimated.

Scott and his crew were on time, extremely professional and did an immaculate clean up when finished. We had a difficult project that needed to get done during a very short 2 day time frame. Furthermore, Scott leant his expertise to us on choosing the right colors and exact paint to use for our high traffic rooms and doors. Afterwards, we could. not have been more pleased and we still receive compliments on how fresh the paint looks. Scott Sunseri Painting with his on-time, on-budget work has now gained himself another customer for life. In a word, Fantastic!

After more than 4 paint jobs with this company, I have finally had enough and decided to move on to…read moresomeone else. There's nothing wrong with the paint crew itself: they are hard working and professional. Unfortunately, they are not properly informed by the owner who conveniently forgets to tell them to paint areas included in the estimates, even after collecting the money for the job. The problem is with the owner Frank who, either because of old age or because of too much partying, is neglectful, forgetful and scatter-brained, to the point where four times, I had to bring back the crew because Frank (and no one else) forgot to tell them to do a segment that was included in the contract. And so, I recorded our conversation and took pictures and films of the areas to do last summer only to...come back and find that Frank forgot once again to tell the crew to do a whole side of the house that was left unpainted. Frank called it "miscommunication" even after I showed evidence it was included in our agreement, and said "we'll do it for sure "next time". Problem is, I already paid for a job that was incomplete and, because of Frank's lack of professionalism and consistency, I decided there won't be a "next time", because I'm sure he'll forget again this time and blame it on too much wine or not enough sleep. And what's worse is the insistence to do what was supposed to be done another time when I decide to do another segment, and he'll "throw this last one in too". I now completely veer away from this company, will never use again, and totally advise against using by ANYONE as too many mistakes, too many recalls and too many times did he simply "forget" to tell his crew to do one or other side, or other segment, one or other fascia, one corner etc... I'd rather avoid the headache and the argument and go somewhere else, even though he still owes me for a corner that was included in the previous estimate and bill, that was paid for, but was never completed. I would definitely not recommend this company, end of story. Frank does however, get an A+ at being a BS artist and salesman, not so at being consistent and professional.

My husband and I had a nightmare project of a house remodel. There were many low points and frustrations and some very very bad experiences with some contractors. So when we worked with contractors that actually did what they said they were going to do and then did the work with the utmost in workmanship and integrity, well, then I am just compelled to let the Yelp community know about them. So here is my second 5-star review of Parker Painting. I am so happy I hired Parker Painting. We were doing a remodel on an old house we inherited, and one of the bright notes of this giant and difficult project was Parker Painting. The price quoted was the lowest bid from all the other painting companies we contacted. Often times I'm afraid to take the lowest bid because I'm afraid of shoddy workmanship, but because they had such high ratings on both Yelp and Google, I gambled and we hit the jackpot. The paint job entailed: 1) exterior painting of stucco walls, all the trim on the outside, the metal garage door, the side door into the garage, and the patio wood patio cover, and 2) interior painting of all walls, ceilings and interior doors including the front door. The exterior work was done several months before the interior simply because the interior was waiting for other projects to finish first. Parker Painting worked with our schedule which helped take the pressure off us. So the exterior work went smoothly. Then it was time to paint the inside. Don't worry; it's all good. Because we had extensive repair work to the interior walls and because we had popcorn ceiling removed, there was a lot of raw wall board with new texture applied, which meant that this new texture absorbed primer and paint like crazy. Plus, there were several areas with water damage which required extra strength primer to cover up the water stains and keep them from leaking through the paint. Jason, the owner and the person who gave us the quote, admitted to me that he underestimated the amount of primer, paint and labor that the interior required, and applying these extra coats of primer and paint added to his labor cost. He told me that he was just breaking even on the interior painting in regards to labor, but all he asked from us was if we would pay (we did) for the extra amount of paint, primer and extra strength primer that was required to do the job correctly. He did not ask us for more for the extra cost of labor. I call that integrity in business. Throughout all this, the work effort and quality of work remained top quality. The work crew were meticulous in taping off parts that were not to be painted. The quality of work was/is top notch. As a matter of fact, our electrical contractor asked me who we hired to paint the house and then took a business card I had on me for his own reference. His comment about the quality of the paint job was that he's seen A LOT of paint jobs and this was one of the finest he has seen. He told me he's seen a lot of slop work and that this job was top quality and well done. Parker Painting also painted the interior of my brother's home. He and his wife were both pleased with the bid price and with the quality of work. The work crew are friendly, approachable, cleaned up the work site before they left each day, and showed the utmost in workmanship. Parker Painting is in my permanent contact list of contractors to hire and I would absolutely recommend them to friends, family, and the Yelp community. If you want a great price, quality work, and honest people, then Parker Painting is the painting company you need to hire.

Over time, since that side of the house gets blasted by the sun, the discoloration has become more noticeable. I called Stubbins last Thursday to ask for a quote. I spoke with Mike A, who also gave me his cell. I sent him photos of what I needed painted, and he answered a million questions from me about the difference between staining and painting and how the pricing would be affected. I agreed to go with Stubbins on Friday. By Monday, Mike A had sent a team to color match the paint needed, and by COB, had completed the project. The front of my house now looks gorgeous! I am extremely pleased with the exceptional service I received from Mike A and his team at Stubbins Painting, and will be returning for all of my paint needs in the future.

Very Disappointing Experience…read more We hired Stubbins Painting to paint our entire house. We chose them over lower-priced quotes because of their strong reviews and, more importantly, the promises they make about their service: 5-year warranty, 100% customer satisfaction, experienced in-house painters, and no subcontractors. Unfortunately, our experience was very different. From day one, we made it very clear to Mike that we had a very tight schedule and needed the house completed within a specific timeframe. The project took much longer than expected. While we were at the home, we discovered that Stubbins had hired different subcontractor painters to work on our house, despite their website specifically stating that they use in-house painters and no subcontractors. The situation was made worse because the subcontractors failed to show up multiple times, causing additional delays and making it extremely difficult for us to manage our schedule. The work also appeared rushed initially. The walls were not properly prepared before painting, and paint was applied over imperfections that should have been addressed first. We continue to find chipping paint, inconsistent coverage, and poor finishes, including inconsistent painting in the kitchen. The minor drywall work that was specifically quoted was another major problem. It was done crooked, tilted, and not properly leveled. We ultimately had to spend a significant amount of additional money hiring another professional to correct and complete the work. What is most disappointing is that the company did not stand behind the promises that influenced our decision to hire them. We repeatedly brought the remaining issues to their attention and requested repairs, but problems continue to remain unresolved. We paid more than other quotes specifically because we trusted Stubbins' reputation and promises. Unfortunately, the actual experience did not match what was represented to us. I gave this considerable time before writing this review because I wanted to see whether the company would ultimately take responsibility and resolve the issues. Unfortunately, that has not happened. I would never hire Stubbins Painting again. I strongly recommend making sure you fully understand who will actually perform the work, who will supervise it, and how warranty issues will be handled before hiring them.

This review is way overdue, but I hope it influences everyone who reads it to hire GNS Painting…read moreimmediately!! No need to look any further, the GNS crew is a delight to work with and their work is first-rate. I've used several painting companies in my long lifetime, and I'd rate GNS at the top. They painted every wall and ceiling, and all of the hideous old red oak kitchen cabinets & drawers (inside and out), doors, and bathroom vanities in a rental property I own in Oceanside, and the transformation was amazing (and helped me to find great tenants)! (see before & after photos). The 1980's era cabinets had no handles or knobs, and they installed new ones PERFECTLY, being careful to measure with a laser so the handles were all in perfect alignment. I also found their prices to be very competitive with other bids I received, and significantly lower than some. And they went "above and beyond" to touch up the baseboards after a misunderstanding with my floor installer as to who was responsible for that. I also liked the fact that GNS sends an entire team of highly-skilled people to each job - - I think there were usually 3 - 4 people every day, each doing a specific task, like patching holes, installing drywall, painting, etc., which really expedited the process and maximized efficiency, and they even showed up (voluntarily!) on a national holiday to keep the job on schedule, always with a cheerful attitude. Also, they paint the cabinet doors off-site, which is the best way to work in a controlled, dust and wind-free environment. I am so happy I found and hired GNS Painting!
