We were able to limp back and the dealer did right keeping the car overnight and making the needed repairs at their cost, which I didn't expect. The reason for my rating is that fast forward a few weeks, the car began to violently shake. Less than one day after I took the vehicle home, the check engine light came on. After repeated attempts to get a problem fixed with my car, requiring multiple trips back and forth to the repair shop, costing me money for cabs and Ubers, I decided to stop by O'Reilly Auto Parts and had them hook their computer up to it. They came up with the same code/problem that Sal at the auto shop had found. Why wasn't it fixed, if it was so obvious? I called Sal afterwards, he then told me that he'd have to charge me for the part. Even though this problem was diagnosed within the 7 day period of buying the car. I will never go here again. My "replace brake pads" light came on, BMW X5. I called Scotti's on the recommendation of a friend, having grown weary of BMW dealer service departments. I spoke with Sal and he gave me a complete breakdown of potential cost scenarios based on the information given. I brought the vehicle in and, after taking it back on the lift, Sal came back in and told me the brakes were "like new" as suspected, and probably just needed a new sensor, possibly recalibration. Warning buy a car elsewhere. My daughter purchased an VW EOS last year. She was lucky to make it home 120 miles from the dealership. It was leaking oil at head gaskets / oil plug which was stripped and the anti-lock brake warning light came on during the drive. It also had mismatched worn out tires. They promised to pay some of the repair bill and replace remote key, but DID NOT. She called today willing to drive back to Sarasota to activate remote key. Hello I will like to start by saying I bought a vehicle from Scottis on feb of 2015, before I bought the car I was told by the sales person I talk to that the car had an engine light. After showing interest on the car, I call back and was told the engine light was no longer on and that the problem was take care of. So I decided to buy the car, had my credit union crate a cashiers check and went to the dealer after getting all the information needed to bring the car home with me. When I got there, the first thing I notice with the car was it had no spare tire and a jack to lift the car, so I pointed it to the sales person, he said he would take care of it, and he ended up putting a doughnut spare and a jack on the Back of the wagon. After all was done, I drove the car home to Kissimmee Fl, this was on a Friday. I left the car park until Monday. I went to work came back and on Tuesday on my way back the engine light came up on the car. I call the sales person , which confrm before that this problem was fix, and told him what was going on. He did not told me to bring the car back but that he would call me back to see what they can do, never call back. I ended up finding the problem, bad intake manifold gaskets. The car had. Vacuum leak problem. I had to fix mi self, but the proble was not only this. Almost two years later, I had my fist flat tire on the car. I stared to replace it, jack up the car, and at this moment, found out that the spare tire I was given, when I told the sales man about it, was the wrong spare, it did not had the same bolt pattern of my wheel hubs. It was from another car. I had to drive the car with a flat all the way to the tire shop which was about 15 minutes away. I then call Scottis with this complain, but the manager did not wanted to do anything about it. Was not interested in giving me a correct spare tire that was suppose to come with the car. I explain to her that I dont need to buy a spare tire. It should have come with the car that I bought and it should have been the correct one. She did not wanted to help me. So my advice to anyone that buys from Scottis is to make sure all the right equipment is in the vehicle, spares, jacks, anything that's suppose to come correctly with the car before you leave the place. By the way the cars price was close to 14 thousand dollars. So I should not have to buy a spare tire that should be included in the car and also the price, I appologize if this came a little to late for someone. Thank you for listening. read more

Flew down to Tampa and rented a car and headed to Scotti's to take a look at, and ultimately buy, a beautiful 2015 Lamborghini Huracan. Car was just as advertised (saw it on eBay and Scotti's website). Didn't know what to expect but Bryan and Suzy (who handled all the paperwork) were great to deal with. Easy to talk to, let me check out the car in detail, answered my questions, and got the paperwork done in a flash. I wired the money and within minutes I was taking the car for short drive. Bryan also helped set up the transportation for the car as it needed to be shipped back to CT (where I live). Car showed up in CT a few days later, and I've been loving it ever since. I have NEVER been treated so badly by someone who is supposed to be in the business of selling something. My first meeting was fine but when they called me back to evaluate my trade and talk further I was told by JUNIOR CRUZ that there is no point in letting me test drive the car until I had a loan and when I said that was an interesting way to try to sell he car, he replied with " I am not the one who is upside down in my current car'. When I asked him why he even emailed me or returned my cal he stated "because if I don't, I lose my job". With this I picked up my purse and headed for the door....with him screaming at me the entire way out with the last words I could hear saying GET OUT! When i bought my car it came with the auxillary battery light on. The mechanic turn the light off by pressing a button. I learned later how to turn the alert off. Also they made me pay them to fix stuff that was already wrong when i got the car. They also tried to pull the spot delivery where you agree to terms then they call you later and tell you the bank didnt agree and try to get some more money from you. If any of this sound familiar im willing to take it as far as it need to. We dont need these kind of businesses out here! read more

I've purchased 3 cars from this dealer and have had great success. All the cars were in excellent condition and if I ever needed any maintenance, it was taken care of by their repair shop. The sales staff is kind and honest and will not try to sell you something you can't afford. They also do the best they can to help you with financing, if you need it. The repair shop fixed my cars on the first visit and I never had to go back for a reoccurring issue. They are reasonably priced and know their neighborhood of Sarasota well. read more

I Absolutely have never been at a loss for words....until NOW!! Love does not even come close to the words I would use to describe how I feel about this place. Jack felt like a no B.S. kind of salesman. I told Jack what I needed and he made sure I was taking my car home. Watch out if you try to do a trade in. Said they go off book, once you are about to close the deal they go off feelings. The book that they use, poor condition trade in (poor meaning check engine light on, tires not matching, paint being bad, and just poor condition of a car) was $6300, the car I had to trade had no issues; no issues on paint or engine lights on. Stock rims and at least fair condition with matching tires (less then 5k miles on the tires) with no issues with alignment. I was offered $2000............ Since they offer so little for cars, I would not deal with them personally. Just helps them try to take advantage of other people. Watch out everyone. read more

I called dealership and John told me he didn't know me! He said he's not able to help! Omg!!! They were so rude to me! Passing me around to any extension! Before I picked up the car Sal had put the car up on the lift so that I could check out the undercarriage as requested. The car had only been registered in Florida so everything was clean about the whole car. I continue to take the vehicle to Sal for any minor issues I have had. I typically don't write reviews, but after working with Scotti's Auto Sales I had to. I come from a background in highline auto sales(BMW and Land Rover) so I know how the "game" works. I was very surprised to run across Harold, the salesperson and not find a pushy used car salesman. In fact, he was very passive and was pretty much just there when I needed him. He is very pleasant, returns calls right away, gets answers about questions right away and never once tried to "sell" the car to me. I stopped by to look at a Jeep Wrangler that I wanted. After realizing that it just wasn't for me, I saw 2 Mercedes MLs on the lot. This is the SUV my wife had been wanting. I took the older one for a test drive and it was in decent condition(excellent condition for the price). I came back and decided to take a look at the newer once, a diesel model. It was literally in perfect condition, other than 2 small paint blemishes. I test drove it, and decided it was the one. I came back the next day to test drive again and then the following day with my wife. Every day Harold was pleasant and never pushed me to buy right away. The same was true when I was introduced to Susy, one of the owners. When we came in to purchase we took it for a long test drive. Literally, 1 block before pulling back in it sounded as if the turbo had gone out and would barely run. I then met the head mechanic, Jimmy, Susy's brother and partner in the business. He took this personal and dropped every job he was doing and had "all hands on deck" to find the problem, after new parts from MB and lots of tinkering he realized it was just a sensor that had come loose. It took 4 hours of his time. It started running again perfectly and we bought it. The day after we bought it, the oil cap came lose and covered the entire engine and engine compartment in oil. I took it in on Monday and Jimmy once again dropped everything and meticulously cleaned the entire engine bay. In my years of automotive sales I have never seen service like this. It is wonderful to see a family work together to make the customer happy. I would definitely recommend Scotti's and we are already making plans to buy me a new car from there! read more

Bad place to buy a car, I did not know how bad these people were. The car is beautiful, but the check engine kept coming on, first they told me I didn't replace the gas cap properly, a day later the light came on again, this time they said it was the coils, they said two coils were bad, they paid for two and I paid for two coils, a day after they did the repair the engine light was on again, Sal told me It was nothing that his car has the check engine light on all the time and its nothing I insisted that that was not normal and I wanted the car checked at that time the car also had a noise when I turned the wheel, Sal told me the mechanic had replaced the struts and didn't grease them properly, to give it time, this time they said it the oil separator, two days after they repaired the oil separator, guess what? the check engine light was on again, tired of dealing with them I took the car to the dealership, they had to replace two injectors, clean the system and they also told me that the struts were good, but not new, and the noise that I heard was the bearing needing to be replaced. thank God the dealer informed me that the injectors were still under warranty, one of the hose was leaking and they repaired that too. Scotti's is a small, independent family-run business with separate sales and service divisions. I believe the Venezuelan family who owns the business now has had it for a few years. They are nice people who want to please their customers. I purchased a used Porsche Boxster from their sales division that appeared to be in good shape, but less than two months after purchase a cylinder bearing failed causing damage to the crankshaft, a huge problem. Although the car was bought 'as is' with no warranty, Scotti's worked with me to come up with an equitable solution to fix the car, sharing with me in the expense. They removed the engine and completely overhauled it, found a replacement crankshaft at a reasonable price for both of us, and put everything back with new seals, oil separator, etc. Porsches are finicky and this one had 70,000 miles on it, so constant perfection is hard to achieve at that age. The car runs good now, making some noise but performing very well. I'm sure I'll have other problems down the road but Sal, the head guy at Scotti's (and Jimmy's brother) and their main mechanic Frank are always available to help. I trust these guys. My biggest frustration during the engine rebuild phase was the time it took to get the car back -- four months. That was mostly due to the difficulty of the problem and trying to find a solution that wasn't going to cost 10 grand or more. read more

To start, my wife and I drove by their establishment and after noticing a Range Rover and decided to turn around and take a look. We didn't have time to talk to anyone, but I called their office and spoke with Harold. I asked a few questions, he was very informative and polite. I decided to stop back in the next day and saw a different car, Harold came right out to greet me and recalled that we spoke the previous day. He was completely non-pushy and allowed me to test drive the vehicle without any hurtles. Again, great! After my test drive, I kept thinking about the vehicle and returned the following day to purchase it. Everything flowed seamlessly. Suzy was instrumental in ensuring I left satisfied (with the vehicle!). She is intelligent and friendly and had me on the road quickly! I also met Hanna, who I believe manages the maintenance office. Once I purchased the SUV, Harold gave me a full tour of the shop and maintenance bay(s). I was highly impressed with the cleanliness and inviting atmosphere of their business.
