I'm on a personal bucket list trip where time matters very much. I bought an older, con version van for this trip and I wasn't out of the dealers ' drive for more than 30 seconds when I knew there was a serious issue with the motor. I called this shop after reading the reviews and have to tell you what a great place this is! They got me in the very next day after I called. They were extremely hospitable to me as I had to wait there for the van. Through out the process, which took 6 hrs, Frank (?)!kept coming up to me with info about how things were progressing with the repairs. He did not choose to make decisions about my car without talking with me and the final price was very close to his estimate. The van is working the best that it had since I bought it and I can't thank this company for their excellent customer service! I took my car here after reading reviews. Certainly did NOT receive quality service. Was told two day repair for valve cover gasket for oil leak. 11 days later after returning the car failure to comply to contract and fix the leak, I picked up the car and am driving it 'as is'. While car was there the back tailgate was damaged and is cracked in two places. No communication on car or why it was taking so long. No communication when reported that the car is still leaking oil. DO NOT GO HERE !!! Not only is the leak not fixed but car is damaged in process of leaving it there. read more

Took my car to them for an A/C compressor replacement based on the price quoted through Yelp. I worked mainly with Paul and he was very friendly and helpful. When I dropped my car off, Paul called a short while later and asked who told me I needed these parts replaced. It turns out the company that told my compressor was bad had not recharged my A/C as they said they did (and charged me for). Paul quoted me the price for the necessary repair which was more than $1000 less than I was prepared to pay. Even though the shop had ordered the necessary parts, they did not go ahead and change them out since it wasn't necessary. I found the integrity and honesty very refreshing. Who wants to deal with a tire repair?! Urg...no fun! I was having to fill my tire with air everyday for the last few days and knew it was time to get it fixed. I called a number of places and when I called Brian's Auto Repair Paul was friendly and quoted with a plug/patch price right away and said to come on down to get it fixed. I found the place no problem and parked right out front. They took my car in after a few minutes. Paul came out to show me the 3 inch nail that was pulled out of the tire and let me know that they were able to do the plug. So thankful the tire did not need replacing. Paul was friendly and helpful. They were reasonably priced and made me feel confident in the repair. Last week while driving from Port Charlotte to St. Petersburg, I realized I was overdue for an oil change AND my check engine light came on. Although the check engine light has nothing to do with the oil needing a change, the combination of the two did give me some concern while on I-75. I had an expensive repair that did not fix a problem. I finally ended up at the dealer for a diagnosis and second repair job that did work. Brian's is not cheap....I know the dealer is always known to charge more than independent garages, but I think sometimes dealers are better at diagnosing their brand of vehicle and can make the repairs more efficiently. And they can be more professional to deal with if you have an issue. read more

I called and requested an estimate for an install of a valve cover gasket. I was quoted $103.40. When the job was done I was shocked to see my bill: it was for $103.40. There was no padding of the bill and no explanations such as "the job was more extensive than expected" or "it took longer because of the make of your car", etc. Brian is the owner/supervisor and is very friendly. Paul, the office guy, was fair. His quote for a battery with "estimated services" seemed a bit high, but I did not get price quotes from other shops. read more

Replaced a battery on volt, good work! Was significantly more than quoted and took longer than expected but they had to reprogram the battery control module.
