Our AC went out, and this company diagnosed it as a failed T4 sensor and told us it would be a…read moresimple fix once the part was ordered. After waiting several days, we were told they couldn't find the part, had never heard of our unit brand (iAire), and to contact the manufacturer. When I called iAire, they immediately confirmed the sensor is not proprietary and that generic replacements are compatible. These are cheap and widely available online. Ranger told us they were not comfortable working on our unit and that we would need to find someone else. I'm frustrated that this was not communicated upfront, especially after we waited days in the Florida heat for answers. If the company is unwilling to service smaller brands or use generic parts, they should have told us during the initial visit instead of leaving us in limbo. When I tried to express any dissatisfaction with the situation, their phone rep repeatedly interrupted and talked over me, and I could barely get a sentence out. When I spoke with my fiancé later, he told me he had been treated the same way. I'm not happy with the poor communication, lack of service, and unwillingness to listen. They took our money and dropped us, gave us a headache, and now we will have to pay someone else to come and fix the issue. This was really poor customer service. They justified this by blaming everything on our "cheap, offbrand" unit and have made no attempt to make things right with us. They have not stood behind their own values. You can see from their responses to upset reviewers that they do not take ownership when they let their customers down and find any way to shift the responsibility for their mistakes. Shameful. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

I was informed that they have other complaints about the 3rd party installer that installed my system but weren't getting anyone to answer or return their calls. Later found out they were out of business. -July 29th called and talked with Corina. She informed me that she returned previous complaint calls on 10 June(Voicemail). She did notify me that someone would be contacting me to check out the system, which they did and found it to be low in Freon, brand new system. - Oct 26th AC blowing warm air. Called and got voicemail that they are closed. What about the 24/7 opening? Anyway, left my name, number and issue. - Oct 27th around 8:30 am, called and talked to Corina. She looked up my name and info. She told me someone would call me for service repair. No call, so around 1pm called and talked with Corina again to see if she could give me a status. She informed me that J&J would call me. 5 pm and no one has called me. So I called Style Crest and got the office is closed message. - So, I am not having a great experience with Style Crest and my new system isn't a year old.

For the replacement, he sent an email link with various price options from high to low.
