They now have notebooks - "push for a new unit" is at the top of their list. They wanted to install a new unit, new return, ductwork/insulation - grand total over $38K BEFORE the ductwork/insulation. They insisted it was the ductwork and could wait until winter (WITHOUT A/C ??!!) and/or they could gouge us right now. They also said we OBVIOUSLY had to have a new unit RIGHT NOW. Several companies showed up, all the same scam. Frantically called everyone, they were too busy and/or could only do "emergency" $$$$$$ service during the day, if you didn't have a contract. Even with a loaned portable (small, but thankful for it) A/C unit from a neighbor, we headed to a hotel with dogs in the car when the house hit 100 degrees. Finally found Air Gagers late one day. When I called them, they came out very early the following morning. They were knowledgeable, professional, polite, and found out quickly what was wrong. For the price of the wiring part, they fixed the A/C. It's been running strong and cool for a month now. Very happy with their service.

Front of house stays about 2-3 degrees warmer than the back. 3) Value: For a 1150 sq. ft house $8250 for duct work seems way to much. I needed my AC cleaned. I had come down with a respiratory infection. I looked inside my AC unit and could see black mold of some kind. I asked a Facebook group for a recommendation for cleaning my indoor unit.. Got a PM from a Jordan from "don't sweat it". He came and said my unit needed cleaning and the duct work needed to be replaced. At the time made sense. Mold would be in both. He quoted price of $8250. He told me while his crew was installing the duct work he would come and clean the AC unit. They came (about an hour late) ripped out old duct, ( every vent had junk fall out of it all over every thing) replaced the duct at ($2000 pr hour?) packed up and started to leave. I told them Jordan said he was going to clean the inside unit while they installed the duct work. They called him, then said he told them to wipe down the unit? ( they said to clean the unit it would take 3 hour and cost several hundred dollars more) One of them did that while the other one took a push broom and swept the the floors of the rooms but, didn't cleanup the stuff off the the furniture or counters. What they did sweep up they just dumped it in my yard, not 10 feet from my trash can. When they turned the AC on in my house it filled with a chemical stink that they said was from the mastic they used so, I should run my AC with all my doors and window open for a while. ( It took more like a week to get the smell out). Then to top it off they left me the permit for me to call in for the inspection. So, looking for someone to clean my AC unit and got the old bait and switch for an $8250 duct instead and no AC clean.
