My daughter hit a deer and the Allegan sheriff called for a tow truck from Scotts. Upon arrival I was not impressed. Driver was dressed in pajama pants, very unprofessional. After he loaded the vehicle we told him we wanted it taken directly to the body shop in otsego. He stated was not going to that late(12:30 am) we then asked to make sure that there wouldn't be 2 tow charges. He said he didn't do the billing. I called the next morning and the lady stated there would be 2 charges as well as storage. And couldn't give me a price because insurance was involved. So it seems to me the just take it to their shop so they can charge more/double dip. Does not sound legal. I will never use them nor recommend. Very unethical. The dispatcher is extremely nice and helpful, but the drivers lack common sense. Dropped the vehicle at the wrong address because they did not call as promised when I waited at home all day. Then they refused to bring the vehicle to my home as I paid for and now I have to get another tow service to tow it 100 yards. They will leave your abandoned vehicle on some ones less property just because they are to lazy to follow up with you. I would use someone else in the future if you want it done right. read more

My daughter's car needed a tow as the front axel broke on the road. The police officer called for a tow truck and Scott's showed up. When they arrived on scene, two people hopped out, loaded up the car and were headed back to the truck without acknowledging me whatsoever. I ran up to them as they were ready to drive off with the car. I asked it to be towed to a repair shop in town. They told me no, they are taking to their place. They took my name and number to call me. They never did. I'm so thankful my husband called just before 5pm cause they were going to charge us a storage fee. The tow for less than 10 miles was $200! They were very rude and unprofessional. When we finally got to our car, they left it unlocked, windows down and the keys in the ignition. That was not how it was put on their flat bed truck. Well worth the drive. When I say 'professional', I mean it on every sense of the word. Towing isn't the throwaway job some think it is, and being an auto mechanic is beyond the comprehension of most... not just the necessary knowledge, but the crappy-rusty, get'er done aspect. I would leave a 0 stars if possible. This is absolutely the worse place I have ever dealt with. It's discussing how they treat people. I hit a deer on my way home to Indiana, Michigan State Police recommended Scott's Towing. Honestly they were the nicest people until they got my vehicle. I followed the with the police to their yard to get my things out of my truck. When I did they wouldn't let me lock it or take the keys. So I just assumed they would lock it for me. I came back the next day because I realized that my credit card was still in the truck. The truck was still unlocked and windows were open. It was also parked right by the road not behind a fence. Surprise surprise the credit card was gone. So I locked the truck and took the keys back to Indiana myself and told them I would be back on Saturday to pick it up. When I returned two days later (saturday) they told me I never told them I was coming to get it and they wouldn't release it until Monday. Scott also attacked me saying that I was messing around my truck in the middle of the night Thursday or Friday morning. Said that's credit card didn't get stolen out of my truck, I must have just lost it. Accused me of not wanting to pay the bill and that was never an issue. They were holding my vehicle hostage to collect the extra $40 a day storage. Not to mention when I paid the bill it was over 500$ just to tow me 10 miles! Please do not use the company. They will make a nightmare or a situation even worse! I will be opening a claim with the BBB and calling my attorney about price gouging. read more

I think these guys are great and are fair with their pricing. It's hard to find people you can trust but I trust these guys.

Terrible people skills. Refused to give price for tow, couldn't tow to my home and asked to take to their facility and deliver by noon next day. Never showed up or called. I called them at 12:45p and learned their flatbed broke down with my car on it and they couldn't get it off. Was told vehicle was on its way a few hours later. Driver stopped to eat and was upset I had to go to work. Was told I would not be charged for storage or tow due to inconvenience of service. Driver got upset I interrupted his meal and took my car back to facility. Owner and wife both cussed me out. Owner refused to schedule an appointment to deliver car and demanded I pay before he would deliver my car. Owner then demanded I pay for all fees and laughed saying he was keeping car over weekend in order to increase my fees. Owner then demanded I find another company to get my car off his property. I have been waiting over 24 hours for my car, waited all day with no updates and still have not gotten my car back. Police will not allow me to file a stolen vehicle report. Unable to go to work and several other companies won't go get my car because owner is a jerk. read more
