i've been using scott for several years now and his honesty, good work and VERY Competitive pricing keeps me going back there ! i had bought a mini cooper (made by BMW ) and asked scott to look at something for me. as i said he's the most honest mechanic around and he said to me, "i'd rather not work on a BMW and he referred me to someone who could look at it for me. it's not that scott could not have looked at it but he just wasn't comfortable working on a BMW and was honest enough to say so ! how many mechanics do you know who would do that ?? i'll be a customer as long as he's in business !! steve p. leominster ma. read more

Out of site, out of the norm. Another mechanic introduced to Scott many years ago. This is not a fancy place, but an authentic, genuine, honest auto repair shop. Scott is quiet. A 'man of few words' type, w/a straightforward, upfront, yet polite style of speaking. Without all the frills, he explains issues in a surprisingly honest way. Have you ever been told - '..can't tell the full extent until we start...', or '..no obvious solution'? Not easy to hear, especially when on a budget; however, the work here has been consistently done so well & they've fixed issues multiple other shops couldn't/wouldn't even identify. I appreciate the honesty from Scott's Auto (of Leominster) and have trust in their work, their words, & the reliability of the jobs they've done on my cars. Living in a vehicle dependent area, once a place has disassembled our mode of transportation to appointments/food/doctors/friends n family, the way to our livelihood/jobs, etc., being vehicle reliant it's important to be trust your 'automotive doctors'. This is that kind of place. . I've watched the removal of vehicles from their tow truck(s) beds & wouldn't hesitate a moment to refer Scott's Towing for such jobs. It's not often that without personal experience, having only observed, I'd make such a referral; however, I watched the way & can almost see the thought put into how/why they did certain things. Scott is fantastic and goes the extra mile. I had been screwed over by a few mechanics in this area. I had someone recommend Scott's Auto- I was pretty skeptical. I had an estimate from other mechanics to fix an issue with my ABS system for $700+, Scott figured out that it was a loose wire and fixed it for $90 ready the next day and he replaced my dead headlight. A few weeks later I was estimated another $700 fix for a cadillac converter- Scott fixed the O2 sensor and did an oil change all for $140 and ready the same day. He is no nonsense, direct, and honest. I will not be going to any other mechanics ever again. He has my business. read more

Great price, service when everyone else is closing up for the day and a job well done. I heard about Scott's Auto Repair this past year when a family member had a similarly outstanding experience as I did today. 2PM on a frigid (26° F) Saturday, my battery is dead even though it's only 2 years old. WTF? I got a ride already coming to bring me to get a new one, so I bring my tools out to the wet, snowy driveway and pop the hood. I put my hands in my coat pockets to warm up as I look for the worn out battery. Did someone steal IT? I don't see one, where could it be? Tracing some thick cables from a fuse box, I see what must be the battery underneath several auto parts. With it looking like the bottom and sides were encased in enough sheet metal to deflect a blast from an IED, I decided not to try this battery swap. Too many things that could go wrong, daylight ending soon, not much room to work, having to remove several parts just to get to the tired battery........no, I'll pay someone else, IF I can find someone else to do it! All good. Exhaust system done (Muffler +Intermediate pipe+some extra welding to fix a flange). Limped in very late on a Saturday afternoon, with some parts in the car, dragging others under the car. Scott was happy to use the parts I already had for the job, and to get the rest. They had stayed late to meet me, and answered the phone as needed. NOTE THE ADDRESS IS WRONG (NOT 621 Lancaster St ). I am from out of town, and a first time customer, so not sure how I would be treated. Fair price, job well done! read more
