They have become cash cows and tax wtite offs for the owner. When you can't even hit a small jackpot of $30 playing .20 after investing $200 you know something is amiss. I know as well as the employees that these machines have been manipulated and are done so on a continous basis. People use win jackpots quite often two years ago but not now and not since the new owners took control. And this is why there are hardly anyone going into any of the Cheyenne Horse Palace's anymore. All the regulars have noticed the changes in the reels, free plays, less 5 free plays and mere pennies in the ones you do get. These machines are suppose to pay out on a percentage, this is no longer the case. And when jackpots are hit its not and hasn't been in Cheyenne. They were suppose to remove games lime Angel Gates, Diamond 7's, Klondike, etc. But they won't because these games they know the locals like and are accustome to playing thus making them a cash cow. And since locals like pkaying them so much they also know when they have been messed with and manipulated. This all isn't about having a gambling problem, its about being cheated by those who can control the chips by a computer.

It was hard to eat with them flying all over and you feeling like you have to defend your food at all times. The food itself was OK. We really enjoyed the bison chili and my husband liked his burger but I was sad to see my steak and baked popotato were pretty dry. The flavor was there though, and our waitress was nice which made for a better experience. I don't hate the place and I actually think it's a good place to go to if you're at the ranch but not sure if I'd travel far for it.

In addition most weekends the also show a recent movie at the unbeatable price of $5. For middle of the week entertainment the also run the community cinema series which is free to the public. Singlehandedly the best theatre around for quite a data providing amazing entertainment at such a fair price its within the budget of the the community. Kudos to the Midwest!

They even have a mammoth skeleton and a little prop archelogist dig site. So cool! They've got videos you can select and watch about the history of Wyoming. My kids loved the little jail that had a slide to get out of. Bathrooms were very clean. They have shaded picnic tables outside too. A great spot to come to stretch your legs and start your visit in Wyoming. I would even say just visit even if you are not needed to take the rest stop.

Now, Terry's allows feeding, petting and close up photography of their bison. The resort is a ranch and not the Four Seasons, so let's dial down our expectations and recognize the workings of the ranch. There will be dirt, poop, feathers, hair, urine, and unkempt struck and other things gentle folk may find unsavory. We found the ranch charming. We have experienced many close encounters with wild bison and most were less than rewarding, but exciting. Terry removes this. The train creaks, and groans into the herd. Windows open, and your bison friend pop up for food. You can touch them and enjoy close photos/videos. Kids will love this and animal lovers also. Your trip back the platform will provide some ranch insights and views of horse stables. That was our visit. You may also trail ride on horseback and even participate in dude ranching. We feel the ranch offered all it advertised and we will return with the little ones. Keep up the good work Terry and all the support it.

Ice machine and a/c working overtime in the unusual September heat. The pizza guy delivered right to our room. Cheap bed but comfortable enough. Dog friendly was the best detail here. I fell in the shower. I mean totally wiped out. Yanked the shower curtain down and landed hard on the side of the tub. What happened? Mrs. E. put the bath tub mat in the shower because she was slipping in the shower without it. I didn't know this so I was fine through the whole shower until it was time to get out and I stepped half on/half off the mat. Whoooosh! Heals over head. When I conveyed the story to the huge biker woman at the desk, I couldn't have gotten a bigger IDGAF! She then had the audacity to tell me "that's why we put a mat in every bathroom. Last line on this subject...if you know the tubs are all that slippery, WHY DON'T YOU ADDRESS THAT AND FIX THEM?? A bath mat? That's your solution? Do better! Yes it's a two star hotel. Normally, they might have made 3 or 4 Yelpstars as a two star. Today they only get two. 09/24

Aurora checked us in and she was so professional, kind and courteous. She gave us a gift bag for being a rewards member. Which let me tell you makes me so happy. It even had a little something for our pet, Seamus. The room was clean, spacious and had absolutely everything you would need. We would recommend this hotel and stay here again when traveling through this area. Thanks for a great stay.
