The ambiance was what I had envisioned for a steakhouse in Wyoming with the addition of slot machines. The windows were open and the fans were on with major cabin vibes but the flies, though I read about them, I was not ready for the amount of flies. It was hard to eat with them flying all over and you feeling like you have to defend your food at all times. The food itself was OK. We really enjoyed the bison chili and my husband liked his burger but I was sad to see my steak and baked popotato were pretty dry. The flavor was there though, and our waitress was nice which made for a better experience. I don't hate the place and I actually think it's a good place to go to if you're at the ranch but not sure if I'd travel far for it.

In addition most weekends the also show a recent movie at the unbeatable price of $5. For middle of the week entertainment the also run the community cinema series which is free to the public. The theatre itself is quite old, but lovingly restored and kept up. Singlehandedly the best theatre around for quite a data providing amazing entertainment at such a fair price its within the budget of the the community. Kudos to the Midwest!

They even have a mammoth skeleton and a little prop archelogist dig site. So cool! They've got videos you can select and watch about the history of Wyoming. My kids loved the little jail that had a slide to get out of. Bathrooms were very clean. They have shaded picnic tables outside too. A great spot to come to stretch your legs and start your visit in Wyoming. I would even say just visit even if you are not needed to take the rest stop.

We paid to feed the bison, not realizing they would give you food for free on the train ride. That was a bit frustrating, but you can add the food they pass around to your bag so you have plenty to give to the bison. Our kids had a fantastic time and it was a lot of fun feeding the bison on the train. I think this is a great activity to do in the area with kids and it was definitely a highlight in our trip. The gift shop was fun to visit on our way out. Highly recommend!

The Terry Bison Ranch is the only place I have ever heard about where you can hand feed Bison. They also have other things to do here. We got here an hour and a half before our train departed and we have plenty to do. They have lots of animals on this ranch from full grown ostriches and baby ones, a long horn cow, plenty of chickens, baby bison that you can pet, lots of horses, goats, and much more. On the ride over to feed the bison, they had a train robbery reenactment which was fun. The whole train ride takes about an hour to make sure to use the restrooms before getting on. It's a great place to bring kids. Prices were reasonable. $20 per adult $10 for kids to ride the train and $10 for bison feed which is a must. They give you a decent amount of food in the bag. No reservations needed you can buy tickets at the general store. There they have plenty of souvenirs to buy and can answer any questions you may have. An easy day trip from Denver. If you are on a roadtrip I'd recommend stopping here if you are heading to Wyoming from Colorado or vice versa.

Mrs. E. put the bath tub mat in the shower because she was slipping in the shower without it. When I conveyed the story to the huge biker woman at the desk, I couldn't have gotten a bigger IDGAF! She then had the audacity to tell me "that's why we put a mat in every bathroom. Last line on this subject...if you know the tubs are all that slippery, WHY DON'T YOU ADDRESS THAT AND FIX THEM?? A bath mat? That's your solution? Do better! Yes it's a two star hotel. I rented a NON-SMOKING ROOM yet I'm put in one completely surrounded by smoking rooms to where when they smoke, it comes through the door and vents if the ac is on. The smells permeate through everything. My "neighbor" uses Irish Spring soap‍ Worst bed ever, if you can't tell by the pic, you'll know once you lie on it. Aurora checked us in and she was so professional, kind and courteous. She gave us a gift bag for being a rewards member. Which let me tell you makes me so happy. It even had a little something for our pet, Seamus. The room was clean, spacious and had absolutely everything you would need. We would recommend this hotel and stay here again when traveling through this area. Thanks for a great stay.
