Recently moved to Texas and wanted to get my car applied with opticoat pro so I went searching the opticoat website for a local dealer. Scott came up as one of the official installers along with other but what made me choose him over others was first, he responded promptly and second, he actually had some yelp reviews. So today he and his family member came in the morning and started working on my car. They started by prepping, claying and polishing the car to get majority of the imperfections out and they decided it didn't need to step up to a stronger polish (and more money) and applied opticoat to both the wheels, body and windshield. The result looks fantastic and hopefully he got good shots of my car and posts it on yelp. My review is long overdue. I thought long and hard as to whether I would like to get Ceramic or Opticoat coating for my recent Lexus purchase. After extensive research, it is almost unanimously agreed online that the specific coating does not matter; the detailer you choose to apply the coating is more important. After reading the yelp reviews, I took the chance myself of Scott. He was responsive to my messages and texts and we were able to schedule an Opticoat session at a fair and standard price (pricing is regulated by Opticoat itself). Scott meticulously cleaned my car and applied the coating. Although I haven't washed it in months, water indeed repels off the vehicle. After a lot of research into Dallas area detailers I settled on Scott. Super-easy to work with, he's mobile and brings all his supplies and tools (just needs an electrical outlet). He gives great advice on how to maintain a finish yourself, products, etc. and is priced fairly for your budget depending on how extensive a job you need (from a thorough wash, to a full decontamination of embedded dirt and sealing it up, to a full paint correction removing ALL swirls and adding a semi-permanent coating - better than factory!). He also has an excellent reputation, both online and locally. I encourage everyone who wants to treat their car and paint right to invest in at least a clay bar decontamination from Scott so you can see what a difference a proper cleaning and sealing does, and how long it will last (3-6 months sealed protection even after repeated washings). Much better for your paint than amateur $40 wax jobs that don't totally clean the dirt embedded in your paint (further micro-scratching your car) and using cheap wax that lasts 1-2 weeks. If you care about your car, give Scott a try! read more

You can read his many other reviews and know he is one of the best in Texas at detailing but what I really appreciate Scott for is he will also go the extra mile to teach you how to take care of your car yourself. He has professional training for optimum products including the amazing Optimum Opti-Coat which is an awesome product that is NOT easily applied by just anyone.
