It wasn't quite my personal favorite, but the hummus was excellent. I added a pinch of salt to suit my taste, and you can tell everything is made fresh. What really sealed it for me was the service. My wife and I were looking at restaurants near th Science Museum. Scott's qualified and was open according to Yelp and reviews. Apparently you can only order online. The storefront is closed for renovations after flooding. Who knew! Poor job of someone not to notify potential customer's that they were closed. This was on June 10! Future customers, contact them to see if they are serving in the brick and mortar. I am disappointed that we were unable to try their food. The food was incredible. I got the mix meat tray and husband got the chicken. All three meats were delicious. The "white" sauce was described as being like tzatziki - it has the feel of tzatziki but I'd describe it more as a creamy garlic sauce (still delicious). We both got tabouleh, it was fresh and tasted good although we agreed it could use just a little more flavor, maybe garlic or salt. Our total came to $41 but you do get a lot of meat. The food took a little while to come out but we suspect because they had several online orders ahead of us, plus it was worth the wait. Our only complaint is the pita does not appear to be made in house (we saw the premade pita's on the counter). Oh and the hummus was delicious, so fresh tasting. I'm so glad Scott's Shawarma moved even closer to me because I was meaning to try them for a minute and then read they were moving to a new location on N. Robinson St. OMG, the food is phenomenal! Tender and well-seasoned shawarma and oh so plentiful. One thing that also stands out is their little side salad there. They let you add pickled turnips, pickled cucumbers onion tomatoes and cabbage to the lettuce, which makes an amazing salad. The hummus is amazing and I highly recommend adding the spicy garlic sauce, hot sauce and their signature white sauce to your meats! Not to mention, I really appreciate how much love goes into preparing a to-go order here. They don't throw the food in there all haphazardly and send you on your way. The place was mixed inside a convenience store. We met the owner, who was very nice. He asked me if it were my first time and then started to give me chicken samples and a falafel sample. We started talking on how there wasn't a big middle eastern crowd in Richmond and that he originally used to work in NYC. He told me everything was made in house. This made me excited as I love homemade stuff. We ordered a hummus, baba ganoush, white sauce, tahini, garlic sauce, chicken as they had no beef or lamb and a falafel. The hummus was good. Best I ever had no. But a solid good hummus. The baba ganoush also was good. White sauce was good. The tahini was a stronger tahini sauce which I liked. The garlic sauce which he told me he likes a thinner sauce was good but not too strong. I like the whipped thicker version honestly but it was good either way. I probably would not get it again. The chicken was good but a bit dry. The falafel was very good. The hot sauce burnt my tongue and taste buds at first so I didn't taste the garlic sauce right away and told him we never got one. Ooops. My wife also got the flat bread. Manuka or something like that. The tabouli was also a bit bland. As I like it more citrus. But to each it's own. Overall, not the best place I've eaten middle eastern food. However, for a place where most people don't know about it, it was good. Guys that work there are friendly.
