The nicest cashier was super patient and friendly! I opted to try the sampler box which comes with your choice of four sides: falafel (4.3/5), cucumber tomato onion salad (5/5), onion rings (5/5) and tabouli (3.9/5) and I added a mixed veggie kebob (4.3/5). Everything was fresh and all items meant to be hot were piping hot! The sides are served over rice 4/5 and a piece of warm pita (4.4/5). One of the standout sides were the onion rings (I am a O-ring lover and these were so good). I thought the creamy cilantro lime and cucumber yogurt could have used a tad bit of salt (I should've added some feta for the salt factor) but outside of that, a really good vegetarian meal! I hate to stick it to Sticks, and I hesitate to do so, but I've gotta be real. The take-out here is still delish!! The Kebobs are typically the bomb, although they were a little dry tonight. I ordered for pick up via phone; the employee, Amanda, didn't have very good phone skills. It was during the coronavirus so I wanted to support a local business. And, I understand that this is an unusual situation around which we all must navigate. But take-out in general, is nothing new. When Amanda brought out my order, she didn't speak, say thank you or anything. I had to initiate the exchange. She was void of personality and didn't seem to appreciate my business. She seemed perturbed that she was asked to bring my order out, but I saw other customers inside without proper PPE. Also, I was dismayed when I opened the bag, no napkins or utensils were to be found. So much for eating at the park like we planned. Considerably better than my last Sticks encounter on Preston Avenue. I'm ordering to go: Fresh Herbed Chicken Kebob with Cucumber Yogurt Sauce and White Rice. And French Fries. I sat at 4-top to wait for my food. Soon a young woman brought the food to my table, opening clam shells for my review. All appeared well, so I went home to enjoy my meal. At home, the Kebob and Cucumber Yogurt Sauce were excellent, just as I had 2 months ago. The White Rice was much better, fluffy and light. The French Fries were very good; I'd like to repeat them. In all, there were 2 significant differences between the Willow Lawn store and the Preston Avenue store: 1. Things were much cleaner at Willow Lawn: Table tops, floor, windows, and entryway. 2. Willow Lawn had better White Rice, light and fluffy. Preston Avenue's White Rice was the clumpiest I had ever seen. Very unappetizing. There are no showstoppers at Willow Lawn; I'd love to return. Great fast walk up Kebob shop! I ordered the 2 Kebob platter. I got the beef sirloin and rosemary rubbed lamb (upcharge). I HIGHLY recommend getting the lamb because it was so flavorful and cooked perfectly! The beef was also yummy. It comes with one side, pita bread and you can pick 2 sauces. I got the eggplant salad and red pepper + cucumber sauces. I absolutely fell in love with the roasted red pepper sauce!! Seriously get this sauce if you come here. I wasn't a fan of the eggplant salad but that's just my taste preference (nothing wrong with it). Overall, try the rosemary rubbed lamb and get the red pepper sauce. Finally got around to trying Sticks Kebob Shop and it was solidly OK. Portion sizing was good and there are lots of options on the menu. Three of us ordered various kebobs; none of them were bad, but all would have benefitted from being cooked a little less, or sitting out for less time (not sure which) as they were very dry, particularly if you aren't using a lot of the various sauces. So I guess I am a fan of Mediterranean food as of lately. I haven't been to Sticks in about four years, if not longer so I wanted to come back and check them out. I wanted fast food but something healthy and different from my usual choices. I got the two kebob platter which comes with one side, basmati rice and grilled flatbread. I chose the lemon garlic shrimp and the rosemary lamb as my kebobs which were both additional charges for "premium" kebobs. The service was quick and friendly at the register. After you order, you wait and they call your number to pick up your order but at some tables I did see them bring out your order. My food came out in less than ten minutes and was a good amount of food for one person, possibly shareable. If there's one thing you need to know about me, I am not a fan of hummus but their hummus here was super fresh and delicious and was a generous helping. For my sauces I got the red pepper and cilantro lime; they were both creamy and tasty. I think the star of my dish were both the shrimp and lamb kebobs. The cook on both proteins was perfection and still retaining their natural juices, I would recommend getting them both. I didn't see any service as far as cleaning the tables as mine was a little bit dirtier than I would have liked but I cleaned it off myself. Plenty of seating options for the lunch crowd and the bathrooms were clean. I think the only downside was the price tag because my meal came out to about $16 and I didn't get a drink either. I used to eat at the one in Charlottesville all the time when I lived there. So I am slightly embarrassed it has taken me nearly 2 years to discover Sticks has a Richmond location that is about 1/2 way between my home and office. Who doesn't like food on a stick? Here you can get it served as a sandwich (pita), over a salad or as a platter with 2 sides (basmati rice and your choice of something else). My favorite kebab is a tie between the falafel and kibbeh. You also get your choice of a number of yummy sauces to accompany your kebab. I like the cilantro lime but switch it up from time to time as well. I usually get the platter with hummus as my side (I love their hummus). My only wish is that Sticks would give me a bit more flat bread to enjoy my side of hummus. Two little triangles is just not quite enough. With fast food sandwich, chips and drink costing $10, I would rather have a something like this enjoy. read more

I ordered the chicken kabob over salad with the roasted red pepper sauce. I was skeptical at first because it looked a little bare but to my surprise, it was PACKED with flavor.
