I've really enjoyed coming here with my mom for lunch! It's a wonderful spot for takeout or dining in. They have plenty of seating indoors and outside. It's fast casual so you order up front and take a number to your table. They have a gender neutral single stall in the back. If you're going to get a side you HAVE to get the fattoush. It's the perfect summer salad. So refreshing with the perfect acidic citrus kick. I adore the pita crisp crunch in it. The tabbouleh is fine. Of the two dishes I've tried, I like the mixed grill kebob plate the most. The lamb & beef shawarma was pretty good too, just know it's a good amount of sauce. Love this place for lunch! read more

It was my husband's birthday and decided to try this place. There was free street parking in front and when we came in, we placed our order at the register and got 2 beef and lamb shawarma platters and a house drink they had. The food was good, I'll give them that, but there are some complaints. For the price we paid, the plates could have been bigger maybe even real. It was uncomfortable to eat in. Next, I shouldn't be charged $1 to get tzatziki sauce with my meal and the portion size on those...... It was also a little warm in there and mosquitoes flying around the food and they didn't have any water unless you bought it bottled. The birthday lunch was a bust. I think there's room for improvement here. I am interested in trying their pizza, so I will come back and give it a second chance. read more

My partner and I came here on a Thursday evening around 7 or 8 o'clock, and parking was easy enough. The restaurant is a cozy little spot with some Mediterranean charm. The jovial attendant was smiling and easy-going, clearly a professional at all levels. He provided us with a sample of the milky-looking drink (jajik?) behind the counter when I inquired, and despite its unique flavor, I decided to order a cup with my meal. It reminded me of what tzatziki would be like if it and salt water had a baby. We ordered Muhamarra for an appetizer, which was delicious and not very spicy. I got the Mixed Lamb & Beef and Chicken Shawarma Plate, and my partner ordered one of the Zata'ar and Cheese Manakeesh. I thoroughly enjoyed my plate, with its combination of different vegetables, meats, spices, and textures. My partner ate the cheese side of the manakeesh but only nibbled the zata'ar side. Spoiler: I finished the leftovers the next day and enjoyed them all over again. The restaurant would be great for a new couple to get acquainted because it is quiet and cozy. The unique decor offers up talking points. The staff is friendly and accommodating to boot. Tried this on DoorDash, absolutely incredible. I live in lakeside and it got to us so fast! Easily the best shawarma I've had in richmond. I got the butter chicken shawarma with rice and my friend got the lamb and beef plate with hummus. Pita is delicious. Garlic sauce is incredible, get extra. I may... Have ordered too much. I mean, for a certain value of 'too much', anyhow. I could have ordered One of the bowls and fed both of us. But I can't resist, and it means I have fed two people dinner, and have enough food left to feed us both breakfast and lunch tomorrow, from one sandwich, one special bowl, some dip and a few pitas. There, uh... There is no leftover pistachio cake. It was like eating a ricotta and pistachio cream cloud. But details. The hummus is smooth and tart. The muhummara is some of the best I've ever had; not quite sweet, not quite spicy, but rich and delicious. The pitas are made in house. Enough said, neh? Order extra pitas. The spicy lamb and beef sandwhich is actually a wrap, but they've toasted the outside, and the inside has the expected meats and fries and bits of pickle and so on one ahould expect of a shawarma. The bowl is an excellent adventire for anyone who is; indecisive, new to levantine food, starving, or interestwd in variety. There's meat, cumin rice, pickled onions, slaw, tabbouleh, hummus, salad... But of everything. And honestly, we should have just eaten in. It's a pleasant little space, clean with touches of decor that enhance instead of being oppressive. The staff we spoke with was lovely and helpful and even funny. I really love this restaurant and it's a great addition to the neighborhood. The staff are super friendly and if you dine in, you get free (amazing) bread with olive oil for dipping. My husband and I both got the platter entrees. I didn't realize the chicken would be chicken thigh - it's good but if you're not a dark meat person, just keep that in mind. This restaurant is located in the Bellevue area in Richmond, Virginia on MacArthur Ave. we wanted to go to Dotts, but she was closed on a Sunday evening. This Middle Eastern restaurant was delightful with authentic well cooked food. The service was excellent. He even came outside to check on everyone that decided to eat on the cute little patio. You could tell that the locals frequent here and it was a place to come together in community. They uniquely have pizza! A lot of folks were ordering for takeout, but you can eat at the restaurant. My goodness. I'm still in my happy place after eating here. We got the lamb and beef shawarma as a bowl and as a sandwich. The meat was tender, wonderfully seasoned, and delicious. We got two fresh pitas before the meal which were still puffed up and full of steam, both crunchy and soft. Bread is one of the best foods humans have ever made, and this was an amazing example of it. Across our two dishes, along with the main food, came pickled beets, cabbage, and cucumber pickles, delicious garlicy hummus, creamy tsatsiki, a spicy and tangy sauce with a bite, another sauce with tahini that I couldn't identify, but which was delicious as well. There was even more, and everything was so fresh, so delicious and so clearly made with care. This place 100% deserves the rating it has. Do yourself a favor and check it out, especially in the summer as there's nice patio seating outside. read more

We stopped here because Dot's wouldn't seat us with our small dog, they had outdoor seating and welcomed our dog, and the menu looked interesting. Got a few shawarma sandwiches to-go last week and they tasted incredible. It's as close as you can get to authentic Lebanese shawarma although it has a Turkish twist with the spices and bread. Getting a plastic clamshell just for a sandwich is overkill.
