Just recently my amazing girlfriend bought me a Specialized Levo Carbon Pro. This shop is amazing with all the help they provided during the purchase. I wish I could remember the man name I believe it was Elliot who helped me and another sales man set the deal up over the phone. He even had a smaller version of my bike brought in to see which one fits me. Absolutely hands down an excellent shop with excellent employees - if you in the market for a bike , gear or a tune up - make sure you go here. Thanks again for everything.

Quite surprised of the good review here. My experience says otherwise. 1. Purchased the bike online (yes they have bikes) but never received any courtesy calls or tell me when the bike will be ready. I had to call myself asking for status. 2. After I picked up the bike, dropped it off to another shop to install the handlebar. They showed me the stem expander plug screw was stripped and expander plug was not even tight (safety issue). Rear derauiller b-screw were off so the other bike shop had to adjust it. 3. Rear rotor disc was over tighten not to spec. Stripped the disc rotor teeth. Now I have to buy a new rotor and locking rings. A lot of issue found are safety related issue. If they didn't have the bike I'd probably would not shop here. Even if you have to shop here, I would take the bike to a reputable shop to get it completely re-checked for your own safety.

Scott's Valley Cycle Sport - 1 bike in inventory between SF & Carmel 6/26/21

Scott's Valley Cycle Sport Saturday June 26 2021 So if you're looking to buy a bicycle this summer, you may be out of luck. Cycling boom that sparked last year continues into 2021. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there's been a surge in biking, so local bike shops across the nation struggled to keep any inventory as more and more interest arose. Manufacturers couldn't keep up with the exploding bicycle demand either. The shortage is leaving bike shops with little or nothing in stock. I've been hunting online inventory and making calls since before the pandemic, and finally was able to locate one bike in Scotts Valley. I grabbed on to this opportunity and put a deposit down, then immediately called the store and spoke to Shayne. Shayne reassured me my order went through smoothly. Got excited! My bike wasn't even on the floor yet, as he received another inquiry about it. Scott's Valley Cycle Sport is the only place with inventory from San Francisco to Santa Cruz/Carmel in two years. Yeah I searched high and low! Great store and great service here. My only hope is they don't go out of business. As it happened before, every time I bought a bicycle, they'd close down shortly thereafter. Three for three, three different bikes bought, three different store closures! Off Ramp, Midtown Bikes, Performance Bicycles. Hope 4th time is the charm for This spot. Very helpful employees, Shayne was thoughtful and helped get me set-up right away, tuning the bike to my weight and specifications. Bought some accessories too.. Mia is such a great listener! Down to earth and the only place to go if you're looking for a bike within the next few weeks. I found it interesting that front and back are not the same tire - different grip traction. No front derailleur, and all the cables are hidden inside the frame as much as possible. Not like your yesterday's bikes, LOL. Whoa I haven't seen this in a long time, my bike comes with a CD... music perhaps? No, it's the user's manual ! There's no way I could play a CD anywhere in the year 2021 I'm laughing. Gotta dig out my old Lenovo.. it might have a CD slot.. maybe back in 2009 MacBook Pro. One more thing I wanted to mention. The sign "Cycle Sports in loving memory of Diego". Diego worked here and he crashed his bike six months ago and he wasn't wearing his helmet. So sorry to hear this sad story. Emphasis on prevention - wear your helmet, period. Left the store with new bicycle in hand! Sono venuto, ho visto, ho conquistato Scott's Valley Cycle Sport - 1 bike in inventory between SF & Carmel 6/26/21

Today, I got a flat tire on the river levee not very far from Spokesman. I called to ask them to fix the flat, and he asked if it was an e-bike. I said yes, but it has normal tires. The employee who answered the phone said, "We only repair e-bikes that we sell". I explained that I had a serious flat, and he repeated the same words even louder. I mentioned that I have bought bikes and equipment from them and am a long-time customer. I also asked if he would repair it if I bought a tire, and he repeated the same exact words even louder. I had to walk my bike a couple of miles to Epicenter Cycling, and they repaired it right away. I can't believe that Spokesman treated a customer this way. I will never go there again. The irony is that I tried to buy an e-bike from them back when I was shopping for one, and the one that I took for a test ride had a chain that kept skipping. I brought it back to see if they would fix it or give me another one to test ride, and the employee just shrugged and said that they do that. I left and bought one elsewhere. Other than that, I used to really like the store and the employees. But those two experiences have turned me off for good.

The Los Gatos shop is about as beautiful and "cool" as a bike shop could possibly be, and the customer service we experienced here is on par with that. Already impressed upon our first visit here, we were completely won over by Gus, the official (or unofficial) mascot of the store and one of the most handsome, adorable and chill Golden Retrievers you've ever seen! My hubby and I popped in last week to check out a mountain bike that he's been eyeing and reading all about. Clay Walker helped us out and honestly was the most helpful, friendly and personable bike shop employee (actually I think his name tag said GM?) we've ever encountered. He helped my husband with all his questions and even let him take the bike out for a spin. You can tell these guys are passionate about bikes, and they were never pushy either. Meanwhile I walked around the entire store and couldn't believe how immaculate it was, how much great gear and merch they have, and how many different types of bikes they have from all the top brands for all ages and riders. We came back the other day to buy that mountain bike, and again the service and experience was exceptional (seriously, thank you Clay!). I never thought I'd be so excited to go back to a bike shop and I wasn't event the one getting a new bike! Plus we got some more time with Gus which was icing on the cake. Hope that pup gets some extra treats as his sales commission (haha). FYI they offer a couple different 5-year maintenance packages for their bikes as well, so they're always in tip-top shape for all your adventures!
