I've had my e-bike serviced there many times. I drop off and pick up later. Repair quality is excellent. Highly recommended.

I called in to got bikes and inquired on if they can fix e-bikes with electrical issues. I believe the guys name was James. He let me know that is is something he could fix and that he was familiar with the issue. I let him know that we've tested the battery and the issue was with the controller. He let me know that it would be $150 + parts. This guy had my bike for 3.5 weeks before I heard anything from him. When I did hear from him, he let me know that he did not have any luck when contacting the manufacturer on their website and that I needed to pick my bike up immediately or he'd be charging me $25 a day in Storrage fees. I let him know that I need more of a heads up to pick THE BIKE up before he begins charging me $25 a day and I inquired on what website he was attempting to contact for THE BIKE. Apparently this guy had been contacting the wrong website the entire time. I gave him the correct site to contact and he said he'd get back to me. I heard back from him a couple days later again with him, threatening Storrage fees if I didn't come pick it up. He was extremely rude, still charged me $150 for nothing, and charged me $50 because it took me two days to come get the bike. This guy is extremely rude and disrespectful and over charges for his own negligence. read more

I Like Bike Bought a bike off some dude on OfferUp and ofc he swore it was in great shape and ready to roll. Well, obviously, used bike salesman are just as trustworthy as used car salesmen but I digress. Both tires had holes in them and wouldn't hold air, and that's just what we knew of, so I decided we needed to find a good reliable bike shop for these and future repairs, so we turned to Yelp to aid us in our quest. They responded right away with some quotes and just said to drop it off at any time. The fact that they're a short ten-minute drive from our place doesn't hurt, either. Dropped it off for two tube replacements and a basic tuneup, during the course of which they found a shifter was out of sorts and needed replacement. It took about three business days (they have a lot of work and it's a one man show) but the owner is very nice and keeps you up to date with the repair via text, including having you approve any new repairs, as well as the cost. As long as you don't need it tomorrow then I highly recommend "Got Bikes?" for all your bike repair needs. read more

UPDATE: The owner is again misleading the conversation in his response. He hasn't addressed the real issue. Why would you not let us test the bike before charging us. That itself means he isn't confident about fixing the problem, but just cares about his fee. I asked the question if he'll charge me a 3rd time if I find the problem is still not fixed, because by this time I had lost my confidence in your ability to clearly troubleshoot and fix the real problem. people come to you to fix a problem and you need to own it You can hide behind the excuses but there are several reviewers here calling out the same experience - lack of customer service and anger issues. ------------------------------------------------ Had a terrible experience with the owner, who apparatly has serious personality issues that many other reviewers also pointed out. First he misled my 14 year into paying for something that he didn't fix. When i followed up, he asked for more money for extra parts that I agreed to pay as well. But when we arrived to pick up He wouldn't let us test the bike before paying for the second time . when I pressed him by asking if he would own the problem and not charge for the 3rd time if the problem petsists, he got really upset and started arguing. He Kept arguing even after I stopped talking. He ended the conversation by saying "you got to be careful with what you say".I have never seen such bad customer service. No one deserve this. He got it back on the road, after a a year of frustration and giving up that I attempted myself, and pointed out some of the issues. On Monday (Labor Day Holiday), I contacted the business through Yelp messages about my bike issue (the bike tire tube had popped and gotten tangled in my breaks) and received a swift reply that I could come in for a quote. I came with my bike for a tire repair on Tuesday around 5 PM and picked it up the following day, Wednesday 5 PM. The owner, James, offered a tube replacement at 2 different price points (standard for $7-8 or higher-performance for $17). I opted for the better version since I do bike everyday. He texted me that the back tire (where the tube had gone flat) also exhibited wear and said I could replace it for $25, and I agreed on the replacement. Labor for everything cost $20. My son wanted his bike serviced, James did a great job! Replaced the tubes and cleaned and regreased the chain and cleaned it up and took care of the brakes. Said hes was back logged about a week and half but was able to get it done in 6 days. He also took his old bike as a trade in to cover the cost. Great place for all your needs. Took my bike in, knew I had a flat tire but also wanted a quick check up. When I arrived, he took a look at my bike and also asked if I would like my brakes checked out. Wasted of time... Went to drop off the bike for a simple tune up but first got chastised for walking past the barrier and wait and then later trying to bring the bike past the barrier when it was my turn. I was told to wait and that's fine but then a waited at least 10 minutes but more like 15 minutes for the one person working to help a customer. After all that I was told I needed to email them for a appointment like it was common knowledge. Good customer service and common sense would have taken 15 seconds for the owner/sales person to ask in the beginning what I needed and then informed me about the appointment but his only thought was the barrier. My dad went in and brought my bike , James gave a estimate that it would be done in four days.9 days later we went to pick it up and it was not done. Not only was it not done it was never even started when my dad asked him about it because we were moving the day he picked it up, he had no apologies and did nothing about the problem. On Saturday, 5/18, I needed to remove and reinstall the chain and recable both derailuers on my son's road bike and decided to take it to a bike store rather than spend a day doing it myself. I remembered that there was a bike store on Winfield Blvd about a mile away and looked them up on Yelp. The reviews were mixed, and I decided to check them out for myself and make my own opinion. I brought the bike in and the owner, Jim, greeted me and I told him what I needed. He gave me a quote and I agreed to have the work done. He told me he'd be able to get it done in a few hours. He called me later and said that one of the derailuers had a bad spring and wouldn't shift correctly. I told him I had a newer one he could swap it out with. I was able to get it to him at closing time and he got the bike back to me by Tuesday. The bike shifts fine and ready to get back on the road. Good work, and the price was fair. Jim was polite and we got along fine. I can recommend Got Bikes from my experience and will be a returning customer. read more

Terrible customer service. Absolutely badgered me to come pick up my bike. Took the bike in on May 2 and it wasn't ready until yesterday, the 17th...then it was MY fault that I was out of town. It wasn't ready on the day he said, then I went in and told him it was ok as I had had to put breaks on my truck ....I was ok with the bike not being ready. Then when it WAS ready, he expected me to drop every and pick it up NOW ..or he would charge me $25.00 storage fees per day. I was out of town and said I would be there the following day. I then began to get nasty texts about me not coming in, that I didn't tell him I was going out of town (that's HIS business), and then quoted me with late/storage fees. Nasty texts kept coming. I went in, and he AGAIN said we need to talk!! I said, no, we've hashed this out enough...but he kept on going. I told him to stop talking and let me pay him...he wouldn't stop blaming, reiterated everything again and again. I paid and put the bike in my truck MYSELF....didn't want him near it or me. Pretty awesome bike fix-it service. He picks up and drops off for a fee but I am cheap so I took it to his shop. He really knows what he's doing. He investigated my bike right there and quoted it would either cost X or Y. He told me it might take 4 days but he fixed it in 2. Price was about average. Brought my bike in on a tues morning and told him no rush to fix a rear tire flat. He called me that afternoon telling me the bike was all fixed and ready to go. If you just follow the signs posted, "one customer at a time" everything will be fine. He's a one man show so he can't give more than one customer the time they need with their questions. All in all, a good dude, don't listen to those others that say he's rude. Thats because they're stupid and don't want to follow the rule: one at a time. Simple. I had a great experience with Got Bikes recently... I needed my derailleur adjusted on my E-Bike and called around to several shops and they were all booked up and when I called Got Bikes they too were booked but James the proprietor said if I come in at 10am when they open he would fit me in. James was able to adjust my derailleur on the spot and I had my bike back in 35 minutes! My bike shifts smooth as silk now! James is a very friendly guy and very knowledgeable about all things bikes. By now, everyone who bikes knows the scarcity of bicycles for purchase and shops available to work on bikes. I needed a rear wheel remount and service for the hydraulic disc brake. Weeks out for appointments everywhere we checked. We found James at GotBikes, who efficiently via email scheduled us in with just a week wait for an appointment. We dropped it off and as promised 2 days later, he had it fixed. He texted me that it was ready to pick up. We dropped by that day and it was perfectly ready to go for a reasonable cost.
