I have used Scotty Foy plumbing three times now. First time was a toilet on the fritz and the Team at Scotty Foy showed up on time and got it sorted out with no issues. Prompt and friendly plumber for sure. Next time we had to have a gas line in our fireplace attached to the gas burner attachment. Landon came out and exerted his dominance over the stubborn gas line cap and was able to successfully install. We now have a great gas bring fireplace for the winters. Last we needed to move a gas line outside for our new BBQ island. Instead of moving it, Landon recommended adding a gas shut off valve and line extension along our side wall to where the island would be located. They have replaced all of our toilets to be water conservative, helped with the redesigning of our three showers, changed our master bathroom sink into a beautiful trough one and reconfigured a bathtub into a great walk in shower. Got a water leak on Sunday afternoon in my attic and called 3 companies. Scotty's office called ar 7:00 am on Monday, and Landon, his tech was here at 8:15 am on Monday. We recently had a hot water pipe leak underneath the floor of one of our bathrooms. We had five different companies come out for a leak detection and advice. Four of them suggested we repipe the whole house. ONLY Scotty Foy encouraged us to let him take a look at the source of the leak and THEN was able to advise us to let his team try to locate the manifolds and reroute the piping to bypass the leak. THANKS to an honest professional we were able to save THOUSANDS of dollars over the other estimates! Not only did Scotty come out to review our situation with us personally, but he sent in a tremendously talented and professional A-team comprised of Landon and Rene... both of who were exceptionally polite and deferential, wore masks (against COVID-19), explained what they were going to do... how they were going to do it... and what it would achieve afterwards. I had a problem with new shower and sink fixtures installed after a remodel. The contractor's sub blamed the low hot water pressure on the cartridges that came with the fixtures that I had purchased. Landon from Scotty Foy Plumbing took the time to look at the plumbing and found the cartridges to be fine. It turned out that a line needed to be cleared and the shower's service port was not properly opened. Thank you Landon for your diligent work in finding and correcting the problem! They even did research to let me know that Southern California Gas was still giving rebates for the installation of tankless water heaters. Severely disappointed. They replaced a kitchen faucet for me a few months ago. Took 45 minutes. Charged me $90.00. A very fair price. So I called them back yesterday to replace a pressure regulator. Took less than 10 minutes. Charged $115.00 for the part. A fair price. This is where things went bad. For that ten minutes labor I was charged $260.00. An outrageous price. Was told AFTER the repair that it was a set price. A WHOPPING $375.00 REPAIR BILL. I SHOULD HAVE PAID MORE ATTENTION TO THE BAD REVIEWS. THEY DID NOT TELL ME THE SET PRICE BEFORE WORK WAS DONE. We needed to have a outside water line and faucet moved to accommodate a RV parking location. The staff at Scotty Foy was polite and accommodating when setting up the appointment and came out quickly to look at the job. Dave and Steve did an excellent job moving the water line that involved jack hammering through 6 inches of concrete and to top it off, did some extra concrete cutting to square off the concrete to accommodate some pavers. They went above and beyond to make sure the job was complete. I was very disappointed that I did not have the opportunity to experience the good service that other customers have had from Scott Foy Plumbing because they did not show up to the original appointment on Tues. Sept 26th between 3-5pm to repair or replace my hot water heater which was only producing luke warm water for the house. The office coordinator called me at the end of the day to reschedule saying the the technician forgot that he went to Desert Hot Springs on Wednesdays not Tuesdays so we rescheduled for the next day, Wed, Sept 27th between 8-10am. Again they did not show up and I had to call the office once again and was informed that they would have to come out between 3-5pm that day. Of course 5pm came and they still did not show up. Neither did I receive a call from anyone apologizing and when I called the office they were closed. This is not intended to be a poor review. Yes, our 2 master bath sinks were installed correctly, BUT, plumber arrived without appropriate parts in his truck so had to leave for an hour to stock up. (They knew in advance what kind of job he would be doing.) Plumber knew how to do the installation but was very, very, slow so the job took 4 hours. That added to the cost. Worst of all - he was a SLOB!! I know that plumbing work isn't neat and clean, but the drop cloth he put down on our tile floor (which never did stay in place anyway) left stains and spots all over, as well as putty that we had to pry off. He never washed out the new sinks after he put them in, nor did he wipe down the faucets to clear them of grime. He left grout caked on the marble sink counter, and never removed the excess from around the basins. Basically, he finished but left the place a dirty mess. It took me several hours the next day cleaning it all up. We will not call them back for any work in the future. read more

Scotty Foy and his guys do great work! We had 3 toilets replaced recently. They put the news ones in, and hauled the old ones out. While here, one of his guys fixed an issue with the shower handle I brought to his attention. It wasn't something I called about, but he took the time to repair it. Turns out the inside pieces were broken and he installed a replacement. It wasn't a minor job. On the way out they spotted and capped a leaky outdoor faucet. These guys are very thorough. Weeks later, the day before Christmas eve, we had renters staying at our home who encountered a leak under the kitchen sink. I called Scotty and someone was out there within an hour or two. The garbage disposal needed replacing. They went to Home Depot, bought a new one and installed it. Everything fixed in no time at all. That type of reliability is invaluable. I called Scotty Foy Plumbing to fix my kitchen sink, which had become unusable because it was leaking so badly. I told them it wasn't an emergency, but it is however a very unpleasant situation because I'm forced to wash dishes in the bathtub which is very hard on my back. They came out to my house on Thursday, looked at the sink and gave me a rough verbal estimate. Nothing in writing. They said I needed a new faucet, which wasn't a surprise, but then they insisted that I had to buy the faucet myself. I know absolutely nothing about faucets, but they kept telling me just go to Home Depot and buy any faucet, it will be fine. Which I did, but I must say, the associate at Home Depot who helped me said he thought it was ridiculous the plumber was telling me he couldn't buy the faucet himself. But that's not why I'm complaining. On Thursday, I was told there was no way they could fix it that day and I would have to wait until Friday. Then they came back and said they couldn't fit me in until Monday morning. I was sad and disappointed because that meant I had to spend at least three more days washing dishes in the bathtub and hurting my back, but of course I said yes. I told myself, you just have to hang on until Monday morning! All weekend long, just hang on a little longer! Come Monday morning, they didn't show. So I called the business and discovered nobody had ever bothered to enter my appointment for Monday morning. I was told they could come to my house Monday afternoon between one and three. But I no longer trust them to do a good job, and I found another plumber with good reviews who can make it out here this afternoon. So I'm going with somebody else. read more

Stay far away from these scammers. They are extremely unethical and don't know anything about plumbing. They couldn't even install a bathroom sink and left the job twice in the span of a couple hours. They were supposed to do fifteen and didn't even complete one! Then, had the nerve to send me a bill! Worse, they stole materials from the site which still haven't been returned. From Letty, the nasty, demanding receptionist who tried getting even with us because we fired them, to the rude plumbers who couldn't install a sink, to Scott, the owner himself who acts like he's the Second Coming and yelled and hung up on us because we wouldn't prepay him, these are all horrible people. I have several rental homes that on occassion, have plumbing issues. First, let me say that Scotty Foy P. has ALWAYS been there for me on any issue. They are prompt, courteous, and fair. I recently had an issue with my hot water. I called at 12 pm in the afternoon, and by 3pm Robbie was at my door. They bend over backwards to accommodate. Letti in the office could not be more helpful. The sad reality is that most contractors are really not very dependable, and some do very shoddy work. The good news is that Scotty is not one of them.
