Paid $700 to have plugged up backyard sewer drain cleared. Worker flushed pipes, but knowingly left roots intact, despite being requested to clear them. You can look into drain and actually see lots of roots. Using the hose in my garden a couple of days later, a pool of water formed at a drain - it was still plugged up. I showed him the picture attached of tool used by previous company to clear roots, and though he said he had it, he refused to use it because he didn't want to "be responsible" if it damaged the pipes. So now I'm out $700, have sewer line plugged up with roots, and have to hire another company to come clear the roots from the pipes so water doesn't sit in pools instead of draining away. Nobody likes to have to deal with an expensive home repair, so when it came time to repair our main sewer line, we were ready for a world of hurt. Thankfully we found Marcos and A-Team Drains instead. Of the four companies that came out to give an estimate, Marcos is the only one who didn't charge us for the inspection needed to give a thorough estimate. He and Sylvia in the office helped us dial in the estimate until when it was time to pull the trigger on a contractor, A-Team Drains was the only possible choice. They made the decision that easy. Being it was a timely repair, they were able to get us on the schedule within a week and communicated clearly and efficiently throughout the process. On the day of the work, Marcos and his employee explained everything in detail about what to expect, the scope of the job and what they had to do. They were both meticulous in preparing the area for digging up the sewer line, working with the company that installed the liner, and buttoning up the work when everything was completed. Invoicing and documentation was extremely thorough and Sylvia readily answered the billion questions I had for her. Had frequent toilet clogs, like 2 in one month and figured it's time to repair instead of doing another snake clean out. I got ripped off by Roto Rooter, they charged $800 vs $300 that local mom and pop plumbers charged. I previously had a decent experience with this company. They came out in May 2024 and snake the drain very well. The fix lasted about one year before the plumbing issue started again. Their team came out again on Wednesday April 16, to essentially do the same service. Although the invoice said warranty was for year because it was a cracked drain. They did not cover it. I went ahead and paid for the full service. Unfortunately, two days later, the toilet started to back up. I reached out on Saturday a business day with no response, again on Sunday, which was Easter. Marcos was kind enough to respond to let me know that they were not available both due to the Holiday and that is was Sunday. I reached out again on Monday April 21St. And had to text and call multiple times to get a response only for them to tell me that they needed to charge me full price and an emergency fee for them to come out again. Update: 1:30pm 4/21 After reading the response from the business manager, I am now more upset. She noted that the warranty covered resetting the toilet, yet I was charged for that again this time around. I fully understood that the fix was temporary, but being told verbally I had at least 2 months before it would start up again, I was shocked for it to occur so soon, and for the response to be a full charge plus emergency fee, then back tracking to offering half off before coming back to check if it was indeed some other cause. I have attached the most recent invoice for reference. Needless to say, I will not be contacting this company. Its very unfortunate, that they have previously been helpful, and that their walk throughs seemed thorough. I should have heeded the other 1 star reviews warnings. read more

Needed help with a drain on a house being renovated and sold. Having used A Team Drains for my own home, I knew their service rate would be fair. Fortunately they were able to get to the task that afternoon, which was a blessing. A section of drain behind the wall had to be replaced due to its dilapidated state. We had a plumbing emergency when our shower began leaking through the ceiling of our downstairs neighbor. I looked around and called A-Team because they seemed pretty legit. They arrived within a few hours and tackled the issue, which was fairly complicated, due to the layout of our condo's plumbing. The issue seemed to be fixed, but within 72 hours, our neighbor reported that the leak was worse than ever - gushing through her ceiling. It turns out that A-Team's fix didn't hold for whatever reason, so I called them and explained that I'd either like a refund or for them to repair the issue again. Within 24 hours, A-Team had come back and thoroughly re-repaired the pipes, and now everything is wonderful. I know it's not easy when customers have issues like the one we had, but the A-Team guys stayed cool-headed throughout the twists and turns. I'm impressed with their work and attitude. They quoted me $1,100 to unclog 5 outdoor drains. I asked him how much I would have to pay if he could not unclog them and he said $375. I said go ahead and he was only able to unclog 1 of the 5 drains and he tried to charge me $725. When I objected he reduced it to $675. I should have refused but I was so upset I just wanted him off my propert so I paid $675. Do not use A-team drains! Note their response does not address the price change. They quoted $375 if they could not clear them and they could not clear them. Period. I should not have been charged more than $375. read more
