I had the greatest experience bringing my car into Scotty's Body Shop from the estimate to picking up the car the staff and management at Scotty's Blew Me Away! They treated me like I was the only customer they had I felt that important. They dealt with my insurance company rather than bothering me with the usual back and forth with the adjuster. I received a rental car and they offered to deal with them even though I had already dealt with Enterprise on my own. When a delay from the insurance company kept them from beginning the work I was contacted right away and they explained the whole delay and took care of all the dealings with insurance and rental car company. I sent the car in to get front bumper replaced and some lights fixed but when I got the car back the entire car had been gone over inside and out all the rust was buffed out and the car was polished and gleaming like new. When the rest of the service industry is concentrating on getting you in and out the door as fast as they can dealing with people as little as possible, Scotty's staff knew my name and handled my business with care and attention making my experience with them one that reminded me of the way things use to be when businesses cared about every customer, creating a personal relationship with each person who calls upon them. Literally the BEST automotive repair and body shop in Des Moines. As anyone can tell you, HONESTY is the #1 issue with Car Repair Shops. You will never get dishonesty here. Very trustworthy. They don't try to sell you and tell you everything that needs to be fixed. Secondly their Customer Service is second to none. ALWAYS courteous. I've never seen them rude or unprofessional. I am not one to normally post reviews, but in this case its a must! Going to the body shop to get an estimate and repair is normally a pain. I recently backed into my wife's car and decided to pay out of pocket on my repair to avoid the insurance hassle. A good friend of mine recommended Scotty's Body Shop. I am so glad they did. They made me feel like a valued customer as soon as I walked into the door. The front desk personnel wonderful and kind. The work that was done on my car was superb! Lesson learned! NEVER let anyone borrow your truck,even if the person has insurance. I wish I had a before and after picture to post on here. Needless to say, Curtis & Lou @ Scotty's Auto Body was very professional and wonderful. Curtis, had a rental car for me at the body shop. One stop shop. My truck looks beautiful, it looks better then it did when I left the car lot i bought it from. Clean and shiny on the inside and out. Thank you, Curtis & Lou!! I cannot tell you enough good things about Scotty's. I have had a couple different autos repaired there and one was my Lincoln MKX. I was rear ended about 3 years and they did an excellent job with the repair. Then about a month ago, I noticed the clear coat was peeling off the rear end. I took it in and Tucker and Lou were both so helpful. I brought it in last Monday and not only did they repair the paint job, but discovered I had a burned out taillight and they fixed that too!! 08 VW GTI: So I have been searching for a fairly rare bumper for about 4-5 months and I finally found it. Went to a few body shops and they tried to sell me on so many other things, then I stopped at Scotty's. They were super friendly and very easy to talk to. They quoted me at a fair price to repair and repaint my bumper. They got it on Monday and I got it back that same week! My car got hit during a snow storm. I had previously used Scotty's and had been happy with the service so I called them up again. They told me to bring the car on in and handled everything for me very quickly. They took care of everything with the insurance company, I didn't have to lift a finger. They got the car done quickly and already had had a rental at the shop so I didn't have to run anywhere else. When my car came back it was detailed and looking brand new. They did a great job. When I arrived @ 8am, the place was hopping but Lew & Wendy were pleasant & professional amidst the chaos.
