My kids love love love this spot. It's perfect for families with kids. They have indoor, outdoor, and deck seating. My family loves that they do ice cream, water ice, and meals. This place is worth the trip every time. they have two huge parking lots as well. We went on Mother's Day and they had carnations and MM candies for the moms. it was so sweet. The serving sizes are huge, the banana split looked AMAZING. On top of that the service was kind and speedy. Coming here is like taking a step back in time. It's furnished cute with all the little extra sparks. Lots of seating inside, walk outside onto the deck with a "drive in movie" seat (my son loved it!) they also have another room for seating. This is a hidden gem in Royersford. The vibe is 50s and has the old fashioned ice cream parlor feel along with lots of other stuff to entertain you. Kids can ride on a mini car at the entrance free. There is a projector with a movie playing. And the most important stuff, THE ICE CREAM!! It is simply superb. Lots of flavors to choose from and delicious at that. This is just about the cutest ice cream shop I've seen in a while! I picked this spot because I was looking for somewhere fun to take my almost-2-year-old and 3.5-year-old for ice cream. I love the style of a 50's diner, the fashion of the 50s, the music, all of it. So what wasn't to love about Scoupe deVille?! My kids LOVED it here. I can't wait to take them back. For those who want options, Scoupe will give you options. You can get ice cream in a cup, in a cone, in one of 4 other types of cones, waffle cups... you can get gelato, sorbet, a "Blizzard"-style treat, banana splits of various varieties, and, of course, milkshakes! We went tried and true for our first visit, but I'm already dreaming of my future orders. I got each child a kid's scoop of strawberry with rainbow sprinkles and had it in a cup. PLENTY of ice cream for small kids to share. For myself, I ordered their moose tracks, mint cookie something-or-other, and had it all in a cup. YUM! That mint ice cream hit the spot. They have picnic tables out in the grass. They also have a covered patio with the back of a Cadillac placed in front of a projector screen for a "drive-in movie" type of experience. They have tables indoors and out on that covered patio. They also have a small Cadillac for the littles to take a free ride in! It really is a fun atmosphere that the family will love. Adorable decor, ample seating and parking, and an amazing selection of ice cream. Perfect for a date night, family night out, or an impromptu stop for your sweet fix. They offer a veteran's discount which I appreciate as my boyfriend is a former marine. I recommend anything on the menu, but be prepared to share the banana split if you get it--it's massive. My go to place. We actually drive about 45 mins just for Scoupes ice cream. They have tons of flavors however best of best is their vegan ice cream. You will not be able to tell the difference. It is that good. We had the berry mix and several diffident flavors. It is yummy. There were 5 of us and the vote from everyone after the fact was a unanimous . You don't need a DeLorean to go back to 1955 if you are in the Reading area. Walking into this converted garage/mechanic shop with a '57 Chevy sticking out of the front, instantly brings back any nostalgia from the 50's. The beautiful juke box, and the music that is playing is all specific to the 50's, and don't worry the decorations on the wall also match, including various pictures and newspaper articles from the 50's, did you know that Elvis had some ties to Reading - check it out it is on the wall! Enough about the decorations, the ice cream selection is awesome. If you like soft serve (like me) they have chocolate and vanilla, and they also have plenty of toppings. They also have plenty of traditional ice cream by Nelson's, and the flavor selection is larger than Route 66. They also have various creations in case you want to break away from the typical banana split (try the Chubby Checker - if you are not on a diet). I even like the furniture, the seats at the tables resemble a car seat from a 57 Chevy. However the seats is where I have the only downside against this place. They are neat, but very, very bulky. In the summertime this place gets busy and if you add people into these seats it will only make it more difficult to look at the various flavors and then navigate to the line. If I would be the owner of this shop, I would be worried that I may lose customers because of this problem. I couldn't knock them down to a 4 star review based on this flaw alone, but if I could have given them a 4.5 that is where I would feel comfortable. Also bring cash! what an awesome atmosphere - takes you back to the old days - for millennials - reminiscent of sitting in the set of tv show "happy days". Definitely a hidden gem. They offer a multitude of options. Although their claim of 20+ flavors of ice cream seemed a bit shady since they just take vanilla ice cream and add favored syrup on it for the flavors you want. We go just for the soft serve twist or the different flavors of ice-creams they have. Only caveat is they don't sell cartons to take home, unlike another ice-cream shop carrying the same local dairy product. read more

What a great find!! So MANY options!! When asked if we could have a certain combination of ice cream and toppings we were told "Sure-just tell me what you want and we'll make it!" My kind of place!
