I especially loved the curly cheese fries, and the fried chicken sandwich was good too. The place is steeped in history. I'm not really a bar person and the energy isn't quite my vibe, but there's a lot to appreciate--especially the wild ceilings packed with random items. It's unique and full of character, even if it isn't perfectly aligned with my usual preferences. My husband, a local who grew up in Butte County, shared some great stories about his Chico State days, back when this was still a quieter town of wealthy families with unpaved roads. Those little pieces of local history made the visit even more interesting. A solid, character-filled stop if you enjoy the Bar vibe, you're hungry after a hike and open to a place with real personality.

Loads of TVs with a variety of sports events playing. We ordered at the counter and then sat down at a table. We only waited about 15 minutes to get our food. My son and I ordered the Great Bacon Burger and specialized it to our liking. I ordered the side salad and he got curly fries. His roommate ordered the Near Burger with curly fries. When we got our food, the boys' burgers were not the way they had ordered them (one had cheese and the other had tomatoes). And it wasn't clear was whose was whose. My side salad was basic basic fare. I should have ordered the curly fries. I probably won't be back, but it was fun to visit the iconic Chico restaurant.

The name pretty much tells you exactly what you're getting, and thankfully they're really good at both. The burgers are the main event. Big, messy in the way a good burger is supposed to be, and actually worth being hungry for. There are enough options that you can switch it up every time, although I usually end up staring at the menu for way too long just to order something similar to what I always get anyway. The fries are great alongside it, and obviously having a good beer with everything doesn't exactly hurt. The atmosphere is another reason I like this place. It's lively and casual without feeling like they're trying too hard to manufacture a "cool" restaurant. You can come in with friends, grab a burger and a beer, hang out for a while, and nobody is rushing you out the door. Service has always been friendly and pretty on top of things, even when they're busy. And considering how packed places like this can get, that deserves some credit. It's definitely not an everyday kind of meal unless you're trying to personally keep the beef industry afloat, but when you're craving a real burger, Burgers and Brew is hard to argue with. Five stars and absolutely worth coming back to.

We only ordered sweet potato fries. They were very good and the portion size was amazing. The main reason for the five stars is the bartender. I did not get his name but he was great. Younger guy that was very kind, respectful and made sure we were taken care of. Good spot to hang out. Restaurant was busy and a lot of the food we saw go out looked very good.

As I come to find out, taco trucks serve equal or…read morebetter food than businesses built in freestanding buildings. So I've ate at this taco truck 5 times to get a read on the consistency of the food and services. Let me start with the area where this taco is located? 2819 Esplanade, just North of Eaton Road, set off to the right hand side of Esplanade this side of DeGarmo Park. In a gated area, gravel and dirt, with plenty of parking. The place is brand new and has the appearance of cleanliness and quality presentation choices. I'm doing details so you can't miss the place. So after five times choosing to eat their food, I finally thought to help promote Tacos El Lider by writing a review. Why, because the taste is unique with taste and preparation. Not overbearing and balanced for your choices to add peppers or sauces to preference. I'm a believer in clean preparation and great taste. Hispanic/Latino foods are specific to where the management learned their craft. Really, don't you like original tasting food where everything considered is for the customer's delight? Yes!!! Because Tacos El Lider is new, it is still sharp and crisp looking which is a sign for quality presentation! Are you hungry and curious to find out for yourself? Your ability to go out, get in your car, head in the right direction, and check out the layout. Nice trailertruck, medium aggregate under sturdy chairs and tables with a sun roof to protect you from the sun. I'll shoot some pictures to show the colors are fresh and most recent. GPS the location as it is on the map going North on Esplanade. Just past Tonea Way and D&E Auto Repair, right before DeGarmo Park.On your GPS for sure. I thought only Hector and Jackie worked their, but most recently was served by an alternate couple of very nice people who served me a very nice burrito. Probably Hector's parents, I'm not sure?!? Hey, see how clean and presentable the settings are, turn your car in a comfortable spot, park, get out to check out the surroundings. It's a little off set, but very doable. I want the taste and quality for my money and I got what I paid for!?! Come give it a try? What do you have to lose? Next visit will be the seventh time because I didn't get my business card last stop, the people working were very nice but I forgot to get my "10 purchases and I get something", a good promotion for Tacos El Lider. They are new, clean, friendly, plenty of parking and they just need you to take a leap of faith? Your taste buds will tell the story! Afterall, I'm a return customer. I do Yelp reviews as I have done in the past. Only after testing the food for all concerns? Easy access, pleanty of parking, nice solid seating, with a sunroof, menus, a personal beeper when your order is up, easy service with a smile. You'll be back because going to offbeat food services are sometimes the best? Make up your own mind? GPS , Tacos El Lider and follow your prompters or the address, whichever is comfortable for you. You count most of all, so go treat yourself to my neighborhood's newest members for quality foods
