When I walked in, I was amazed at what I saw inside, as it definitely was not what I was expecting (and I mean that in a good way!). I loved how dimly lit it was inside, which was complemented by miniature lights that were strung from the ceiling. Speaking of the aforementioned change of pace, I also appreciated how there were no TVs inside, which created an intimate atmosphere that focused more on conversing with your friends than watching whatever may have been on TV. Finally, as someone who always pays attention to a restaurant's artwork... I absolutely LOVED the artwork that was on display at Goat's. They had so many cool pieces of eclectic artwork, that you could almost consider it as much a small art museum as a restaurant. My favorite art piece is kind of hard to describe, but I guess you could say that it was of a God-like man in a suit controlling somebody who was playing golf. (I know, it's hard to describe, but like I said, it's eclectic.) My one (1) downside to Goat's, and the only thing keeping it from a five-star review, is that the bartender and servers were all pretty rude and arrogant. This is speculation, but maybe Goat's is one of those places that considers itself a "regulars" bar, and isn't very nice to people who aren't regular customers, but the three (3) employees I interacted with weren't all that inviting. All in all, Goat's was a great experience, and if it were an option, I'd probably give it something like 4.5 or 4.8 stars if I could. If the servers were a little less full of themselves, or maybe just in a better mood, I'd consider it a five-star experience. Nevertheless, Goat's was a great experience, I'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend that anybody stop in if they're looking for a unique experience in Five Points!

I went on a weekday morning when it wasn't too packed, and I really enjoyed the authentic deli ambiance, which isn't the easiest thing to find in this neck of the woods. My server (whose name I didn't catch) was such a sweetheart and did an amazing job of making sure my drinks were re-filled, my food was delivered on time, and was proactive in offering me a cup of coffee to-go. After my meal, I enjoyed wandering around the other side of the restaurant for a few minutes, which included a cigar room, an enormous wine cellar, and a host of fine cheeses that I had never heard of before! All-in-all, I really enjoyed The Gourmet Shop, will definitely be back in the future, and would recommend it to anybody in the area who's looking for an authentic deli experience!

There is also available street parking as well. Upon entering this restaurant, we were quickly seated and greeted by a very professional staff member. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. Their menu offers plenty of delicious entrees, and they also have daily specials. We placed our order after checking out their menu, and we truly enjoyed everything we tasted. I'm positive that we will return for another visit soon, and I'd strongly recommend this restaurant for friends and family members.

I hadn't dined at Arabesque in a few years, and the food definitely did not disappoint. We ordered…read morethe sampler appetizer, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I remembered. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience fell short. We chose to sit outside, but were constantly bothered by flies throughout the entire meal. Given SC's climate, restaurants that offer outdoor seating should consider adding fly fans to tables to improve the experience for guests. Service was also lacking. Our waitstaff was not very attentive, made us aware that they would have to pay for the mistake in the drink served, thus making us bad for their error and ultimately drinking, what was not ordered. In addition, there were multiple errors throughout our visit. While the food was enjoyable, the service and outdoor dining conditions left a lot to be desired. I'd return for the food, but I hope the overall customer experience improves.
