Roasted Cauliflower

There was plenty of street parking available near the restaurant. Atmosphere was nice and server was very friendly. We ordered roasted cauliflower, gnudi, and la Bella farm moulard duck breast. My favorite was roasted cauliflower but everything tasted amazing.

My friends this is the best dinning experience in Columbia, SC. I travel for work and came across this hidden gem for dinner. Parking was a bit crazy but well worth the food and wine selections they offer. I personally recommend their Gnudi dish which features ricotta dumplings over slow cooked brisket with red pepper flakes. The dumplings were light and the brisket was tender. Put away the pepper and salt shaker because the chef has perfected the menu. Service was top chef and they performed at a Michelin level anticipating your every need. This place would be perfect for special occasions and events. They offer 25% off take home bottles of their special collections of curated wines. Also, there restaurant does not accept gratuity and donates any cash tips toward the World Central Kitchen. Thank you for setting the bar and I will definitely be back each time I'm in town!

Hands down, the best restaurant in SC. If you are ever in the area and you are a foodie, you need to stop in! The menu is rotating, but they have some staple items. All of the staff here are extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings. Truly can't go wrong with any menu item, if you see the ribeye on the menu definitely go for it. The caviar service was delectable, very hard to find an experience like this in Columbia.

The restaurant set up is super unique, it feels like a cute coffee shop in the front and then as you go in it feels like a trendy restaurant. Service was great and all tips are included in the prices. The patatas bravas and scallops were incredible! The sunflower cavatelli was a bit too salty imo but my fiancée loved it. The ceviche was not traditional ceviche, the shrimp was cooked and it was a little disappointing. Overall definitely recommend giving it a try and I will definitely come back!

This quaint spot in the Vista offers a variety of tapas along w a great wine selection. Our server, Daulton, offered to surprise us with a selection of tapas along with paired wine, which we took him up on. We started with some bubbly which was paired with Shrimp Ceviche, crudo, boquerones (anchovies), steak tartare, and pan contomate. My favorites were the crudo and tartare. The boquerones were not my favorite, but I think I may just not like anchovies. While we finished up the first course, we had a light white wine which I enjoyed. For the second course, we had a chilled red wine which was paired with the lobster raditori, smoked half chicken and patatas bravas. Of the second course, the lobster raditori was my favorite. We then asked for pepinos aplastados (cucumbers) to finish out the main food. For dessert, we had a moscato, which wasn't too sweet, along with bombas and mousse. Everything was delicious and the wine was well paired with the food. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for an elevated dinner in Columbia for great food and service

Food and service were both AMAZING. We were treated with amazing service by everyone we came across. Special shoutout to our server - Alisa! The patatas bravas is my absolute favorite. Will be back. Love the vibes of the restaurant as well! Video of restaurant on @lexgeteating

Upscale dining you will want a reservation for dinner. But they do take walk ins and if you just want drinks and oysters they have comfy chairs in the middle of restaurant here. Check out my pictures we tried almost everything they had to offer on several occasions this year.

Literally can't go wrong at this place. It's a great spot to share a bunch of different plates. The menu changes occasionally which I enjoy. Staff is so helpful and provide great service. The food isn't like anything else you can get in Columbia. It's unique and very well done.

My new favorite restaurant in Columbia! This quaint bistro is EXCEPTIONAL. I'm from Boston, and it feels like something straight from the south end. 10/10! The food is freshly made and delicious. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The service is top notch (Dalton is the sweetest!) and don't even get me started on their wine selection! Absolutely amazing. They also have a fabulous retail section with high end candles, spices from around the world, and unique gift ideas. I would highly recommend checking out City Grit!!

By far my favorite place in Columbia! I highly recommend going here and bringing all your friends and fam. Have a wine night with some amazing tapas and dessert. The food quality and flavors were beyond amazing and fresh. The service (aka Randy) is the BEST. Randy knows the menu and what wines would taste good with the meals very great at pairing and gauging what the customers would like. Randy helped choose our sides and entree I'd give them all a 10/10! Nothing disappointed me at all. I want to come here and bring everyone I know every week. The interior has such a cool vibe/concept. Pretty nice space to bring friends or a date. There is parking up front street parking and parking towards the side and back of here. We ordered the chorizo, tuna on an amazing baguette, the mushroom carbonara which was to die for and the cucumber salad with this Chile vinaigrette & can't forget the basque cheesecake with a berry compote. The best cheesecake I've had. Highly recommend making a resy I heard they get busy for dinner!

Nice atmosphere, helpful waiters, tiny portions, not the best in taste, very high price. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Never disappoints - our go-to spot in downtown Columbia!…read more Christal and I have been coming to Hampton Street Vineyard for several visits now, and it truly never disappoints. Every time we walk in, we're greeted with that warm, welcoming vibe in the historic Sylvan Building - it's cozy yet elegant, perfect for a special night out or just a really great meal. The food is outstanding: seasonal, fresh ingredients shine through in every dish, and the wine list is impressive (no surprise with their Wine Spectator award). We've tried a variety of plates over our visits, and nothing has missed the mark - always flavorful, beautifully presented, and satisfying. What keeps us coming back (and recommending it nonstop) is how consistently excellent it is. We run Chestnut Cottage Inn just 4 blocks away, so we send our guests here all the time. Without fail, they come back raving about their meal and the great time they had. It's the perfect spot for visitors to Columbia - close by, reliable, and memorable. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and book a table. You won't regret it! Highly recommend for dinner or their weekend brunch.

To begin I had requested a window seat @6:00 for 2 which was not available. We arrived 15 minutes early , so I would have expected to be given the choice to wait for a window table or be sat , no offer made. And speaking of tables , the chairs are super uncomfortable and you notice that as soon as you sit, hard and straight . We ordered from the special menu , but it was offerings from the regular standard menu . My husband had the flat iron steak w broccolini for extra $10.00 up charge . Steak was seasoned well but very small 6 oz portion . Broccolini was a mystery , served almost raw with charred ends. Was too tough to eat or cut with knife. I ordered the Beef short rib w Brussels sprouts and parsnips. The beef was flavorful, tasted exactly like crock pot roast . Agin , the Brussel sprouts were hard as a rock, literally! When trying to stick the fork into it , it flew off the plate ! I love al dente vegetables but last nights were extremely undercooked with NO flavor at all.Without seasonings Brussel sprouts can taste like dirt , and these did . Desert was date sticky pudding which was excellent . Summary is for $165.00 dinner we left underwhelmed , hungry and looking for the nearest Taco Bell. I would like to note our server was great .

The wine menu for the flight is actually embedded with flower seeds! Also enjoyed hot goat cheese dip, fingerling potatoes, Spanish meatballs and scallops. Everything was fresh and tasty. Already looking forward to our next visit.

I looked through Yelp and…read morereservation sites to see what was available and then honed in on what might be a wow dinner. I had a few options, but ultimately landed on Gervais and Vine and made a reservation. On the recommendation of our server, we started with a bottle of In Sheep's Clothing and got to ordering. I had already scoured the menu before coming in so I was pretty sure I knew what I wanted. I love that it's smaller portions so you can order different dishes and try a bunch all at once. We started with the baked brie which I think had an apricot spread plus some fruit and bread. Then we did the petit filet mignon, pork with gorgonzola cream sauce, spicy shrimp gambas, and the seared jumbo scallops. This may sound like too much for two people and you would be right but it was so delicious. I highly recommend everything we had. If I had to choose some standouts, the shrimp were phenomenal and I'm still thinking about them. The biggest surprise was the pork. It was a good size portion in comparison and the cream sauce was so good. Honestly, if you followed this order to a T or any variation of it, you can't go wrong. We weren't rushed in any way so in lieu of dessert we took our time finishing that bottle of wine. While there were some other menu items that jumped out at me, I would absolutely come back and order the exact same thing again. This was one of my favorite meals this year.

When I walked in, I was amazed at what I saw inside, as it definitely was not what I was expecting (and I mean that in a good way!). I loved how dimly lit it was inside, which was complemented by miniature lights that were strung from the ceiling. Speaking of the aforementioned change of pace, I also appreciated how there were no TVs inside, which created an intimate atmosphere that focused more on conversing with your friends than watching whatever may have been on TV. Finally, as someone who always pays attention to a restaurant's artwork... I absolutely LOVED the artwork that was on display at Goat's. They had so many cool pieces of eclectic artwork, that you could almost consider it as much a small art museum as a restaurant. My favorite art piece is kind of hard to describe, but I guess you could say that it was of a God-like man in a suit controlling somebody who was playing golf. (I know, it's hard to describe, but like I said, it's eclectic.) My one (1) downside to Goat's, and the only thing keeping it from a five-star review, is that the bartender and servers were all pretty rude and arrogant. This is speculation, but maybe Goat's is one of those places that considers itself a "regulars" bar, and isn't very nice to people who aren't regular customers, but the three (3) employees I interacted with weren't all that inviting. All in all, Goat's was a great experience, and if it were an option, I'd probably give it something like 4.5 or 4.8 stars if I could. If the servers were a little less full of themselves, or maybe just in a better mood, I'd consider it a five-star experience. Nevertheless, Goat's was a great experience, I'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend that anybody stop in if they're looking for a unique experience in Five Points!
