Best pizza in savannah! Slices are huge and always fresh, nice outdoor seating, beer! Need I say more!? Go have some and thank me later..

enjoyed the food...was not happy that the employees made the restaurant's atmosphere not-so-family-friendly, as in I had to get my pizza boxed up and leave due to the immature nature of the conversations that ensued behind the counter. we ordered a large pizza, which though overpriced was very good (though I did have to dab a good portion of grease that had puddled in the middle off of it before eating a slice). My one main concern is that i did get hints of marijuana while I was sitting toward the back, every time an employee would walk in from outside...i truly hope that the people entrusted with my pizza were not high while doing so, but I unfortunately I think this may be the case. read more

Great NYC style pizza. We ordered the all meats, all veg, pepproni and supreme. It was hot, super fresh and delicious!

The pizza here is delicious and so affordable. After being in Savannah for several nights and eating at most of the must try places, we wanted some pizza and not from the hotels room service. The slices are huge and all the topping are fresh, my favorite slices were the bbq pizza with jalapeños and the supreme with jalapeños as well. The antipasta salad was also wonderful with the house dressing. The best part was that they delivered to the bohemian by the river where we were staying, and because I placed the order online I received a 10% discount. I'm a Jersey born and bred kinda gal, and I gotta say that Screamin' Mimi's is as close to NJ pizza as it gets in the South. I have yet to eat at the restaurant, but they're prompt with the delivery all the time, and the delivery guys are friendly. My wife and I ordered the tomato and basil pizza. It was really, really good pizza, and I am definitely glad we came. But I need to list the few qualms that deterred me from giving Mimi's two more stars. To start, I was expecting diced tomato pieces on our pizza but instead it came with giant tomato slices. This made the pizza a little too juicy and caused the cheese to fall away from the bottom crust before the slice even reached my mouth. Same goes for the salad, it came with the giant tomato slices as well. The service was great, though the atmosphere wasn't anything to write home about. Paper plates and plastic utensils made it a little too casual. This is really good pizza and it deserves to be accompanied by, at least, some simple white ceramic plates and real silverware. Also, we watched as the guy making pizzas fist-bumped his two hippy-looking buddies who just walked in from outside just seconds before digging his hands into some dough. Now, I'm no hater, but let's just say I'm glad it wasn't our pizza that was tainted with hippy germs. Did I mention the pizza was friggin' huge!? Way too big for two people. And thats the only size they offer. If you are a party of four, it's the perfect amount. For us, it meant having to spend more money for more pizza than we could eat. When the original place we were going to try (VVGG's) took their phone off the hook, we were left searching Yelp to see what other delivery options were available. We're not big fans of NY style pizza but when hunger takes over, you go with it. We got the pizza within the time given. The taste was pretty bland and unfortunately our rental home didn't have anything spice wise other than pepper so that didn't do much. So we threw away most of it. About an hour later I had raging heartburn, which I never get, so I can't say I'd give them a go again. read more

The atmosphere, staff and pizza is fantastic. The pizzas are huge with a lot of toppings as well. The 4 stars is for the price. Almost $40 for a supreme pizza and two Yeunglings. Definitely worth it but I usually don't like to spend that much at a pizza shop. The money aside, very pleased with the food. read more

Stumbled across this and so glad we did. The salad was fresh and the portions were gigantic so I get to enjoy my baked Ziti again. My little dude loved his jumbo slice of pizza, and the husband filled up on his chicken parmasean sub and still has some to munch on later. The final seal of approval was given when my little dude, who is not a fan of tomato sauce, sampled my ziti and came back for a second bite. =) read more

This pizza was mediocre. I went in on Saturday night. It wasn't too busy. The workers were kind, but the pizza was just blah. I ordered a slice with chicken and pineapple. It was exactly that, a previously made slice of cheese pizza with processed chicken strips and big chucks of pineapples on it. There wasn't any extra cheese or sauce. The pizza lacked flavor. I had to load it with crushed red pepper and Parmesan cheese to enjoy it. I won't go back. read more

Food came out cold, the pizza toppings and cheese were sunken to the middle of the pizza. The employees there argued with me about my order trying to force an extra pizza on me. Overall the staff was rude the pizza was way over priced and nasty honestly I would have been better off eating something out of a dumpster. read more

THE BEST PIZZA IN SAVANNAH HANDS DOWN. There is a rivalry between Vinnie's and Mimi's and Mimi's wins hands down every time. I have never had anything bad from here. There white pizza is amazing, there red sauce filled with flavor. You have to get the meatballs. HUGE Greek salads. The place is divey in the best way possible. I got a supreme pizza and it was amazing! I was concerned after seeing some of the bad reviews and burnt pizza pictures, but I decided it was worth a try and I am so glad that I did. The place was full of locals and police on break, so you know that is a good sign. The pizza is enormous and quite good. The staff was friendly and a bit loud, but that is all part of the experience. The pizza was delicious. And it actually came really fast. I ordered one slice then went back to order two more. The place is kind if small but not crowded. I wouldn't say the restaurant wasn't clean, but it had a little bit of a divey feel to it. They have larger than your average Pizza Hut/ Domino slices of pizza. I always get cheese or with just one topping when I eat pizza and the price for me per slice was $3.21. I would like to say the pizza was a little greasy... but, it is pizza. read more

I have eaten here a million times and just realized I have never left a Yelp review. This is unacceptable. I mean, I am a pretty big Mimi's fan--I ate their cheesesteak on my wedding day!!! That's right. A Mimi's cheesesteak is a special and delicious enough thing that iI was willing to possibly sacrifice the ability fit into my gown the day of my wedding (and it was so worth it.) And while the cheesesteak is definitely the star of the show in my opinion, their pizza is really, really good too. I will agree with some of the other reviewers that the crust could use some improvement, but the pizza itself is very flavorful, the toppings generous, and the slices are HUGE. I went to Sreamin' Mimi's with my husband on 4/9/15 while visiting Savannah, GA. This is true college or neighborhood pizzeria. Without giving too much away about myself I was the oldest people person there (and let's just say I am 10 years + out of college). The food is a solid 2.5 stars to me. All the choices are greasy with lots of cheese (basically what you expect a pizzaria to be). I am bumping my rating up because of the polite and accommodating service. I ordered something without realizing that the sauce (all of their sandwiches) had meat. I returned my sandwich and explained that it was unediable to me. The men making my sandwich didn't complain and remade my sandwich with their pizza sauce. In conclusion Screamin' Mimi's is a no fuss type of place good for take out and/or after a night of drinking. read more

I was told to go here by a local resident as it was the only place with "good pizza". We ordered the margarita pizza and a Greek salad. The pizza did not have any red sauce! And while it was 18" it had a crust of 3-4 inches deep, I would grade it as tolerable at best. The Greek salad was ok but nothing to write home about. With the total bill a little over $35 I would suggest spending your money elsewhere if you are visiting the area. read more

When I moved here from NYC, I figured I'd be eating dominos pizza. So I was very pleasantly surprised to find Mimi's. Mimi's slice doesn't completely replicate NYC pizza (how could it... need that NYC 'watah'), but it does a pretty good job of keeping me in pizza until I make a trip back home.
