One bite and I had to stop to write a review. HOLY. FREAKIN. CRAP. Cheesy, meaty, melty, ooey, gooey, goodness. I happened to be on this side of town and was about to starve so I figured I'd slip on in and check this place out. I am so glad I did. Now open a store in Effingham my man and you'll stay open just from my family alone!! Big props to the owner, super chill and warm greeting when I walked in. The girl at the register was sweet. I embarked on a road trip to Savannah, Georgia, and while en route to my ultimate destination, I yearned for a swift and satisfying meal to fuel me up . As I made my exit from the highway, I spotted Holy Pie's location and opted to give it a shot. I'm absolutely delighted that I did. If you love everything about pizza - the crust, the sauce, the cheese, the fixin's if you use them - there is no pizza in Savannah like Holy Pie Pizzaria on Dean Forest Rd. It's not a big restaurant, it's not touristy, is just plain has the best pizza, calzones, strombolis, and wings around. It's ten minutes outside of downtown and an equal distance from the airport. So if you're a lover of all things pizzarias, this is your place! read more

They do give some type of sauce on the side, which we thought was garlic sauce but it was just oil and it had no taste. Thumbs up on giving more marinara sauce on the side though.
