Dillon did get a great job replacing the frames and mesh on three of our screens and just replacing mesh on one. I was happy the quote came under what it was and included a senior discount. Making an appt was easy, They were on time and were not flustered when we told them how old our house is and the windows that dont stay up on their own and the bamboo that covers the windows on both sides of our house. "Easy Peasy" Had some old and beat up screens, some missing screens etc. Finally got around to it, and one name that kept coming up was Screenman. In any event gave them a call and while my appointment was scheduled about three weeks from the call, they called me today and let me know they had availability as one job took a lot less time than expected. The way it works is that you describe to them over the phone what you need, and from there you get a quote. When the two person team shows up, they come in a big working van where most of the work is done. What I really liked about the installation team (Dillon and Alec - i probably screwed up the second name) was they had good judgment and imagination in solving challenges that arose. Turns out some screens are not straight forward, especially the screen doors for french doors! Bottom line - great value and great service! read more

I live in a 4th floor condo and needed a retractable screen - I wanted a phantom screen because of the warranty. It turned out great! They listened and explained very patiently - they even took off their shoes! Very professional and kind. I am older and was concerned about any "lip" I would have to remember to step over (or my older friends...). They mounted it so it would fit flush - no stepping over. They came, went through the product and customization, measured, cut screen at their truck, and installed. All in about an hour. All cleaned up after. This business is awesome! My experience with the crew is they had a very professional and informed customer service representative that helped me schedule an appointment for installation. The two service members came through and quickly did custom sized screens for a very large picture window in the bedroom, a patio screen door, and two smaller living room windows. I love their illusion mesh which shows nothing through their glass. Prices were more than reasonable for something so essential to the home! Their crew were really polite and helpful, too. Six months goes by and I had to remove the screens for an annual window cleaning. Well, I could NOT get the screens in and was very frazzled. Thanks to their generous year-long warranty, I was able to call back and have a free consultation with the service team again! From the initial contact, Nathalie and Misha took care of all my concerns and were quick to respond to my many emails with various questions about process, pricing, and procedure. They got me on the schedule quickly and without issue. Meanwhile, the folks they sent out to do the screens, Dillon and Nic, are consummate professionals. They came and took measurements, they asked if I would prefer they mask up (this has not been a common thing with contractors we've had out for other reasons, so this was an especially thoughtful and meaningful touch), and they were in and out in less than three hours. They were particularly mindful of our cats, escape artists that they usually are. I had initially declined to have the screen door locks installed because apparently I had underestimated my cats, but when we discovered the cats figured out how to open the screen doors, a quick email to Screenman and they were quick to come back out and put them in. We had no screens when we started and now we don't have to use our air conditioner on account of the crossbreeze. The money we're saving on electrical shows an immediate benefit to our quality of life, and the cats now have windows they can lay in without us having to worry whether they'll escape to god-only-knows. I cannot begin to emphasize enough how worth it the whole process was, start to finish. As someone who works in customer service I can appreciate an "above and beyond" experience and it is absolutely impossible to emphasize how above and beyond this whole thing was. I waited a month for them to come. Screenman folks came and said the blinds were too close. I offered to pay them more to remove them (not put them back up) and they declined. I cancelled one of my calls so I could grab my drill and try to remove some of them, I asked for guidance and they said, "We're screen guys not blinds guys" probably a dozen times. It became this pretty annoying refrain. I was feeling pretty frustrated as I was taking these blinds down and they said "there is no need to have this kind of attitude." They were annoyed with me not being able to know the blind clearance wasn't enough. Had I known a month prior maybe I would have taken them down. They commented about my attitude another time so I asked them to leave. They left saying, "I don't know why your mad at us for your blinds being too close." Like saying the most annoying things they could think of out the door all while commenting on my "attitude." You can tell from my account, I don't leave bad reviews and I appreciate the work people do for me. This guy was just really forward about being an asshole. Contacted them late June for a job. Gave me an appointment for a few days later. In the same phone call I changed my mind on the amount of screens I needed done. They then stated they couldn't come out to do the job for over two weeks. On the day they were supposed to show up, they called 15 minutes before their arrival time and canceled due to vehicle problems. Then they couldn't schedule me for another 3 weeks.
