She is very knowledgable about different modalities of treatment and presents them with understanding and precision. I, recently, went to her office, but on the way, google maps took to the wrong place. I had parked my car and after walking 3 blocks, I realized I was in the wrong place. I was 10 minutes away from my appointment time. Walking is painful for me, (part of the reason I see Dr Davids) so it took me awhile to get back to my car. By that time I was 2 minutes late. I called the office to let them I was close and that I would be there soon. They told me they would see me soon. Through 2 or 3 more unfortunate actions on my part, I found my self looking for the wrong office number and was instructed by a worked to go to the next building. To make a very long story no longer, I called the office at 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment, crying, and Sandra answered the phone. She had me describe to her where I was, asked what I was wearing and said she would come get me. Soon Sandra was walking me to the office. She reassured me that everything was ok and that Dr Davids would see me soon. That was 30 minutes after my appointment time. They had accommodated my lateness by seeing patients that were already there so I could be seen when I finally arrived. She brought me water, and reassured me everything was ok. When Dr Davids came in she was so kind and gentle and she told me it had worked out and that she was glad to see me. We had a wonderful conversation and she was very through in her assessment of my needs. I felt cared for and it was such a positive experience-one I will never forget. Being an RN that has worked in the medical field, for 35 years, I know a good quality healthcare provider whan I experience one. Dr Davids and her staff are the best! While my appointment went well, the standard insurance paper work for a cortisone shot (the most common intervention other than pain meds) was rejected, and no one from the office followed up. There were no follow up notes after my appointment for next steps. My primary seemed very surprised that this routine procedure was denied which makes me suspect that they didn't do the minimal paperwork required. When you call 'the office', you reach someone at the main switchboard who presumably passes on a message which may or may not be returned. In my case, it was not even though I requested that they resubmit the paperwork. Keep in mind that many many people reaching out to a pain management doctor are in excruciating, debilitating pain. When I finally went in, I was barely able to walk and had to lie down during the appointment due to the extreme pain. Currently, I'm repeatedly leaving messages at the switchboard attempting to try to get my cortisone shot months after all medical staff I met with agreed that it was necessary. If you are in an acute, debilitating situation with your pain, I'd recommend you seek someone who runs a more responsive office.

Mine individually has been arbitrarily reduced 300% in the last ten years. If the FDA, DEA and CDC would get off the Providers backs the office might work more efficiently.

I should have known to walk away after the first visit. Dr. Tarasenko is avoidant and appears uncomfortable with a transparent conversation about the procedures he will perform on patients. He is very vague when answering questions, and during my visit, he actually rolled his eyes when I informed him of the side effects I experienced from the injections during my first visit--side effects he would have known about if his office had followed protocol and had me wait 30 minutes before allowing me to leave and drive--I am traumatized. The girls at the front desk are highly unprofessional. There is still holiday (Christmas) decor in the office (it is April), and the office has an overall uncomfortable feeling. I asked my primary care physician to please refer me to a different doctor because anytime a doctor appears uncomfortable and avoidant with answering basic questions about a medical procedure that will affect your body, that is a serious red flag. I told her that was 25 years ago and I don't know why I had a heart attack, I told her that I have already filled out a 13 page questionnaire and most of the questions are not relevant and very intrusive, like your race and sexual activities, and drug and alcohol use, at this point she got up and left the room. About 10 minutes later the Doctor came and asked me why I was there today, I told him I was there because of my chronic hip pain and lower back pain and he said he can help me with my back pain but he is not going to, because I wasn't nice to the woman.

Given whatever reason you are at the PD&TC; it was my specific experience that the staff actually put in the "TLC"...perhaps they rename the center "PD&TLC". Anywho...who is responsible for my experience and who did I interact with here? Well, who didn't I interact with is more like it. I was lucky that they provided me with a large envelope with their names so I could recognize them specifically. First, Krystal...not only was she very helpful but I observed her with others as well. The nurses...the three amigas.... Shannon, Sunny and Kameko...all of them brought their own personalities to the party. I love my party hat! The warm blankets were a super comforting touch, and a little refreshing apple juice was a nice touch.... like a 5-star hotel! I can't forget Scott, the anesthesia guy! Explained the process and what would take place. It's really great since I'm guessing some have the fear of the unknown and not only Scott, but the rest of the staff I mentioned above, were very reassuring and explained everything. Can you imagine, not only do they have to perform their jobs well, but they also have the emotional aspects to manage. I bumped the IV in my hand and they fixed that straight away. That was reassuring as heck! Seriously, I can't thank you enough from my heart to all of yours. Oh yeah, hearing them interact with each other and just chit/chat was also comforting...could you imagine if there was dead silence...no bueno! For post-op, when being wheeled out to the car, I believe her name was Nancy, but I was still feeling the effects of the anesthesia...she was wonderful as well. If I have to come back for anything else, I would love to request the same team! If I'm in the area, I'd love to stop by to bring y'all some goodies!! 5-star care, and that's for pre and post op "CARE". The only recommendation I could make is to perhaps "update" the waiting room. I think the building is a bit older which comes with it's own inherent challenges. I didn't think it was a big deal, but if you compare that waiting room to other hospital/professional waiting rooms, perhaps subconsciously it would be reassuring to the first-time patient.
