We dropped off a king sized comforter that has fur on one side. Allie discussed with us the best way to launder it. She made great recommendations not only on soap, temperature, but also offered to hang dry the comforter after using only very low or no heat. We got the comforter back in 24 hours. It was perfectly cleaned and dried. Allie did a fantastic job. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Allie and Scrubby's. We will be using them again and again. I had 2 king blankets to wash, so I went right to Godzilla since one of them is a really heavy Korean mink blanket. The quick wash takes 19 minutes and $9.75, but could have done a months worth of laundry if I brought it. Nice clean facility and great customer service. We rarely need a laundrymat, but I wanted to wash my son's area rug which had become quite soiled over time. We were glad we chose this laundromat. It was big and airy, with lots and lots of big front loading machines. The laundry attendent was friendly and helpful, and we were able to turn our cash into quarters using the change machine, or there was also an option to pay by scanning a que code with your phone and paying online. There was also an ATM if we had needed it. The 4x7 rug fit easily into the machine, and got very clean even with the gentle cycle/cold wash that was recommended. After the spin cycle, the rug was almost dry, so the big dryer we used was able to dry the rug completely in one cycle. The whole process cost $8.00 and we were very pleased with the results. Plus, the bathroom was nice and clean and not open to anyone but customers. A good experience overall. Highly recommend. read more

I really admire the gal working on Saturday 9/21. Each time I was in switching a load she was wiping something down, organizing, sweeping. I even saw her scrubbing the areas on each washer where we pour in detergent. I admire that attention to detail but most of all her professionalism and friendliness! Disgusted by the staff and degenerates who would steal someone's laundry right out of the dryer. Not only did I pay to wash and dry, I then had to pay to go buy all new bedding. Staffs response "I didn't even see you doing your laundry here." Oh was that because I didn't look high and I was clean and dressed properly? I love being accused when asking how it just disappeared. Scrubby's Laundromat on Abbs Street was nice, clean and the attendant was helpful. I only used the extra large matchine to wash a heavy comforter, the washer was clean and did a fabulous job. There were many machines of various sizes, all stainless and all seemed in working order. I will go there again. read more

Have tried Scrubby's a couple time and it hasn't improved with time. Everytime I went in a minimum of 5 machines were out of order. It costs $1.75 for the washers. The dryers weren't unreasonable but they don't get hot and you end up spending a small fortune to dry a medium size load. The staff is less than friendly. The machines aren't kept clean. The bathroom is questionable. I will not go back. read more

My temporary apartment in Boise does not have a washer or dryer, so turned to Yelp to find one with good service and reasonable prices. A few popped up in the search and I decided to try my luck at Scrubby's. It has a fun name, after all. My first visit was on a Wednesday night after work. Parking lot was small but there were a few spaces available. When I first entered there were several people milling about, though none approached me so I wasn't sure if any were employees. The layout was as such: dryers lined the back and left side walls, rows of washers took up the center. Folding tables were scattered between the washers and laundry carts were interspersed throughout. The walls (both interior and exterior) were decorated in whimsical paintings and neon lights in shapes of bubbles and clotheslines, which was a cute touch. I walked to the second row and tried to find an open washer. There were plenty, but what I quickly realized was that nearly all of the $1.25 washers were "out of order," while the $1.75 were all working. Convenient. I loaded up two machines. They were good sizes and easily fit all of my items. Washes took just under 30 mins, so ran over to Albertson's across the street to grab a sandwich for dinner. Once I was back, I loaded my stuff in two dryers. Cost is $0.25/7 minutes for regular size, $0.25/4 minutes for XL dryers. You have options of high, permanent press, and low heat. The regulars worked well; one dryer needed 3 cycles, the other 4. I used permanent press. Overall a decent laundromat. They have wifi which was a nice way to kill some time waiting. It was relatively clean and odor free, though the constant barrage of flies can be really annoying. And while I wasn't approached by anyone, a girl did eventually make her way to another customer who needed help. Note: they have coin machines to make change but no ATM. Go to Albertson's for that, or come prepared with cash. Scrubby's also has a drop-and-go service that might be worth pursuing if that's your thing. And they have a loyalty card that gives you $1.50 in cash after 6 visits. Be sure to ask for one. I would use this place again, and in fact did so on a Friday afternoon with a similar experience, though with the addition of Maury paternity tests on TV. On that visit I noticed they had repaired a few of the $1.25 machines, which is the reason I bumped my original 3 star review to 4. Maybe it wasn't a scam after all. read more

This is the second time that I've gone to dry my clothes. The first time, after an hour and some clothes still very damp, I asked the attendant why the dryers weren't hot. She said and she quotes "Well, you have to know which dryers to use--we (attendants) know which are hotter'. I was offended at that, as if I'm paying 25 cents for 6 minutes, and I push 'hi', then it ought to be hot. I decided to try again today. Well once again, after spending 45 minutes to dry one bottom sheet and two pillowcases (and they were still damp), I decided never to return. I don't mind paying 25 cents for 6 minutes of heat, but when I push 'Hi', I expect it to be hot and not lukewarm in temperature. read more

I have been using Scrubby's for laundry for about a year. They have a number of washers and dryers out of order at any one time. So, I go when it is least likely to have a crowd in order to get a washer and dryer. Today, someone used the washers before me to dye their clothes, or what ever that left my whites brown. The staff really couldn't have cared less. I will never go back there again. read more

Having only tried one other laundromat here in town, decided to go to Scrubby's based on Yelp reviews. As noted by others, it was clean and spacious, well-lit and two awesome laundry attendants who were very helpful in pointing out ways to save on the dryers and which washing machines to use for my loads. They have a couple each 75-80 lb washers & dryers, several triple load washers, multiple double loaders and plenty of regular washers. The rest of the dryers were either standard laundromat size and a few 50 lb dryers as well. They have a teeny vending machine for forgotten necessities as well as machines for drinks/snacks. The vending machine even offered K-Cups for their Keurig coffee maker! There was a change machine that takes $1 up to $20 and if there was an ATM I didn't spot it (walked to the Albertson's right in front of Scrubby's to get food for my restless helpers and more cash for the change machine). There are cute little chalkboards hung at the end of the washer & dryer rows for kids to use and what looked like a small play area towards the back. There was a table plenty big to seat 4 comfortably with reading materials and/or your laptop to take advantage of the free WiFi, as well as various chairs placed around for those waiting. Plenty of the rolling baskets to use and a couple folding tables for when your clothes are dried. The washers did my huge loads just fine but even the 80 lb dryer didn't do well with the enormous amt I brought. I ended up having to swap some clothes into the 50 lbers just to get them finally dried all the way. They also offer drop off service that I'm considering utilizing, for $1.10/lb it includes wash/dry/fold and their washing supplies. The attendant said sometimes you can get same day service on drop off but if it's a lot they may need 1-4 days lead time. If you pre-pay for drop off service the amt per lb decreases according to the amt you paid IE pre-pay $100 it goes to $1/lb or something like that (don't quote me on prices). They also have a rewards program for frequent users. The attendant was doing drop off service while everyone else did their own and kept busy the entire time with that and helping customers. Compared to the Westgate Laundromat this one is heavenly and I'll definitely be using them again either drop off doing myself. When I arrived at a little past 7 PM we were the only ones there but shortly afterwards there were quite a few more cm. The last load of the day has to be put in by 845 in anticipation of their 10 PM closing. My stuff took a bit longer to fold than I estimated and the attendant was very sweet to allow me and another late person to finish up while she performed closing duties, and we finally got out about 1015. read more

Nailbanger Here Again; On the road for a week and now in need to do some coin operated laundry. So this place is in Downtown close to Boise State University. They have Dry cleaning also. Some 40 different size Washer from $1.75 for small load up to$10.25 per load for HUGE LOADS and some 30 different size Dryers as big as 50 and 75 pound loads, $1 gets you 24 minutes and another 25 cents for more time. They have a couple three areas of folding tables and a Utility Sink. Baskets on wheels of course.They offer Soap/Softener/ Dryer Sheets but they are very expensive as usual,50 cents for a plastic bag each for clean laundry, so best to bring your own or stop at the Dollar Store around the corner and get what you need before hand.The place is clean and has a Handicap Restroom with a Baby Changing Area ,a couple of tables with Magazines / Newspaper and the best part, Free WiFi. Other helpful notes ,they have a Change Machine ,but no ATM. They have several Arcade type playing machines and a Play Table with Blocks for the Kids.They have a Soda, Snack Machine, and Gum Ball Machine. They have a Keurig Coffee Machine so bring your own cup and Coffee Pods plus Condiments ,they were out but best too bring your own if you know what I mean.Open daily from 8 AM till 10 PM last load in by 8:45 PM.Enjoy read more
