Others, told me they would sit with me and pose me every moment... which sounded horrific to me. After contacting Brant Bender, I looked to find only positive reviews. He also sounded very down to earth and charged by the hour, which allowed me to book only the four hours that I wanted. It was also nice that I didn't have to pay until after the event, when I received the photos. I sent over a list for formal photos along the harbor, as well as some basic wishes for the reception. I let him know that I wanted to enjoy the celebration rather than worrying so much about posing. I also let him know about a few specific things that I wanted photos of and with. Brant was friendly and easy to work with. He came with an assistant and was very professional. He took the photos I had asked, and made some suggestions. He was never pushy and I felt that he was there to take the photos that I had requested. I got some comments from guests that he was very unobtrusive, which is exactly what I wanted. Our phots came back in just a few days, much quicker than promised. He did a great job editing some of the formal photos. We also received a lot of fun cameos of our guests. All in all, I would hire Brant Bender again. He is affordable, professional, and does a great job.

That makes three separate experiences, all with the same disappointing results and the same level of service, or lack thereof. The biggest problem wasn't the price, it was the quality of the final product. When concerns were raised by several families, we all got the same weak return message "I'll send this to Treelite for review". Treelite, you mean the company you SOLELY own? The company you're hiding behind to avoid accountability and responsibility? The company who has yet to responded to any of our families? He blamed this poor outcome of results on the low payment he receives from the leagues. Hey Andy, your "low cost we charge the league" explanation is not the defense you think it is. That sounds like a business decision YOU MADE. Not something families should have to absorb through poor quality photos, rushed posing, and frustrating service. You say your goal was selecting the image with the "best expression," but unfortunately you failed miserably. The chosen photos were some of the weakest options available and judging by the number of parents voicing the same frustration across both leagues, this clearly is not an isolated opinion. You provided one kneeling option. One. Which tells me you either did not actually review the available poses carefully, or the other kneeling photos were removed from view entirely. If multiple kneeling poses were truly taken for consistency, where did they go? Because they certainly were not available for selection on my end. It was painfully obvious that speed was prioritized over quality. Some of the people taking and posing photos appeared to have little to no actual photography or posing experience. Kids were rushed through the process, positioning was awkward, expressions were not corrected, and somehow the weakest images became the featured league shots. Quality matters. What happened to taking pride in your work? Us parents would be more than willing to spend the ridiculous amount charged for a digital download if the photo was actually worth it.

Our body clocks were all out of whack. We had planned an impromptu wedding on our favorite beach with a small group of about 30 family and friends in attendance. With all destination weddings, the stuff leading up to the big day can be a little overwhelming. Family arriving. People pulling you in all directions. Checking on catering, music, etc. Two days on the island of relaxation and my wife was STRESSED OUT! She literally told Richwell she wanted to skip the ceremony and do just the dinner (we had gotten married at the courthouse several months prior). She was done with it. In comes Richwell to the rescue. Richwell got the phone numbers of everyone attending. He coordinated the time for them to be there. He arranged where everyone was to stand and basically set us up on the beach in the perfect location for his photographs. Our wedding turned out AMAZING. To this day we have people telling us it was the best wedding they ever attended. And let's not forget the photographs!!! SO GOOD! Richwell did a cool drone video of the beach.
