For Foley this is about as good as it gets... They do stay open until 2am which to me is still damned early! But everywhere can't be as civilized as New Orleans. So for Alabama I guess they doing as good as they can do here... They have different things going on for different days of the week. The music here often is NOT to my taste but sometimes they do have some decent music playing. The service tends to be fast and efficient. Overall it isn't by any means the best place I've been but it is one of the better places you can find in Foley, AL so it is what it is when visiting this part of lower Alabama... read more

Three bartenders on the floor and we still had trouble getting their attention for a drink. When the bill came the prices didn't add up. I was over charged for my drink and didn't know until it was too late. Because, I never got an itemized bill until I cashed out and had it texted to me. $4.00 over what the menu said for my drink. read more

Came to Scuttlebutt Pub on St. Patrick's Day and we don't regret it! There was 9 of us and Marty was so accommodating! She made us feel at home, made sure the drinks were flowing and the food was amazing! The bartenders were drinking behind the bar. There's mold and the smell of cat piss throughout the bar. The lack of care for the upkeep of the building and the lack of care for customers is atrocious. I wouldn't want anyone to waste their time or money there please steer clear of this place it's a miserable time just go to somewhere on the beach. read more

Pub that allows smoking so be aware. We stopped in for a couple of cocktails and they had an ok bourbon shelf here. Had a Basil Hayden with a big rock and she had a nice margarita. Listened to the talent play one set and he was pretty good. We are not smokers so the smell got to us a bit. Might stop back by if in the area again for a drink. Best neighborhood bar we found in Foley! The locals are friendly to those on vacation and we learned all sorts of great information about Foley, Gulf Shores and OB. We walked in during the middle of the afternoon, with few people there and it was already way-smoky. We inquired about karaoke and the female bartender growled, "Thursday - Saturday". We had to ask WHEN on Thurs - Sat. The response seemed to be a way of telling us - "We don't want you here". It was a disinviting atmosphere, unfriendly and unwelcoming. Good reasonable beer prices (homemade bloody beer recipe w/bud light totally awesome). Clean ashtrays. Bar staff and regulars are flexible, as rude or as nice as you'd care for 'em to be. I had an appointment at the eye place next to this establishment and had 2 young ones with me. The parking lot was full at the eye clinic with the exception of the parallel parking directly on hwy 59 right before you get to 98 and was/is extremely busy. Someone from scuttlebutt came out and told me I had to leave that I couldn't park there because I was blocking other customers from being able to park. (In there empty parking lot) There was not a sign that says "paying customers only" ect and even parked as far over as I could. I even explained that I would rather not park on the busy highway with my kids and she said I had to move. (Very rudely might I add) I almost didn't leave the parking spot to be equally rude. Told my kids "that's not a great way to get a customer in your establishment, that being rude gets you no where!!" I will now never visit this establishment which is unfortunate and never refer any of my clients there either. read more
