Everything was great! Food, service and surroundings! Adult beverages were delicious!

Well, we wanted to like everything, but unfortunately our expectations were not met. There were not many people dining when we arrived. Most people at OWA were in Tropical Falls (Theme Park). Service was slow at best and we got tired of watching our server stand around and watch FIFA world cup while our cups of water were empty. The small cheese dip and guacamole dip did not impress at all. The cheese dip was very bland and tasted more like milk and cream, the guacamole dip tasted like store bought (Publix/Walmart). The main course had a little more flavor, but still fell short. Very little flavor and better "Mexican" food could be found elsewhere. Now, we did not leave hungry, but if your wanting food with better flavor, I would certainly go somewhere else. read more

Me and the Fam visited OWA for the first time yesterday and it was amazing!!! We were posted up in the waterpark and I was finding the food options to be less than appealing so I decided to venture out to one of the restaurants. Cozumel B&G is directly to the left front when you exit but the other options are not far off. After a brief Yelp review of the options, I decided to try Cozumel and it did not disappoint! The temperature inside was not freezing cold (AMAZING! especially considering I was a little wet from the wave pool still). We sat at the bar, the staff were attentive and lovely and the inside decor is SOOOO cute!! The Hibiscus Margarita was wonderful! The queso is great and the 3 taco plate is MORE than a plentiful helping of delicious Mexican flavors!!! I got the Birria w/beans and rice and it fed me, my mom, and my sister! This location in OWA has had many different restaurants, this was my first time at this one and the waitress was super friendly and helpful. I'm not usually a margarita drinker but this coconut margarita was too pretty to pass up! It was pretty and delicious! One of the best Mexican restaurants we've been to in a long time. We went kinda early so we were sat right away & she took our drinks orders. Food came out pretty quickly & cooked to perfection. My only dislike is that its in a touristy area so its alittle more expensive than any other Mexican restaurant but its worth it! read more

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the friendly staff. Some of the best food I've ever eaten. Our meal was served hot, well seasoned and made with fresh ingredients. First of all, I love supporting local family run restaurants. So we were excited to try Cozumel, as I've heard so many good things about their Loxley location. I'm so glad we did! The cheese dip was marvelous, especially with the complimentary chips and salsa. I got the chicken fajitas for one and it was well seasoned and huge portions. I was able to box it up for lunch the next day. The rest of my party got tacos and burritos and were very happy with their meals as well. Dine in | Lunch | $50-100 Premium authentic food. Even took special orders to leave onion out of stuff. Our waitress Ms Nancy was awesome there when we needed. She is so friendly and did a great job with our service. Got veteran discount and our huge lunch was very reasonable. Definitely a revisit for our lunch. Try it you will like this place. We were happy with our first visit here for an early dinner. Our server was very friendly and took great care of us. The margaritas come all decked out and very festively adorned. We tried the house and top shelf. The upgraded guac was very good and the queso dip was thick but tasty as well. I got a combo of Chile relleno and burrito and took the burrito home because we were so full from the chips and dips. Food was above average. Vibe here is also festive and music fit the atmosphere. We were sorely disappointed with Cozumel. The regular salsa had no flavor. The hot red salsa had a good flavor but though we asked for it when we ordered our drinks, it didn't come out until we got our food. I ordered charro beans because that is one of my favorite dishes. More flavor than the salsa, but the beans were bland as well. Of course, it didn't help that they didn't bring me a spoon to eat the beans until 15 minutes after we had our meals. When the waiter steps away from the table, they are gone. The fajitas were decent. All in all I wouldn't refuse to come back to Cozumel, but like everything about OWA, this is another swing and a miss. read more

I went to the Cozumel restaurant for the first time and found a restaurant that fills a niche for bland, tasteless, Mexican food. The reviews were roughly half and half, delicious to profoundly bland. Had the lunch steak frittata.My first inkling of the tastes to come - store bought chips, watery soup of close to tomato salsa. The bland steak strips, beans and rice, lettuce, etc., rounded out and underlined, bland. Your choice! read more

Last night we went to Cozumel in OWA. We were extra excited about this because their original location in Loxley sometimes just seemed a bit far away We ordered margaritas, which were amazing as always. Their QUESO was definitely legit. We ordered the Texas Fajitas, a burrito, and a chimichanga. Everyone was happy with their food! The restaurant is a great location, plenty of seating, TVs, lots of waitstaff. Only recommendation so far would be if they gave more than a tablespoon of guacamole for the dishes that it comes with. We will surly be back! Worst Mexican food I have had in a long time. Should have known because there were only 2 other tables on a Saturday.

Arrived at 5 pm on a Thursday and the place was literally empty. No big deal it's still a bit early. Was started immediately and ordered fajitas. The food was on the table in a few minutes. Note fajitas should be sizzling in the skillet fresh out of the kitchen. These had no sizzle and no smoke. Tasted like they had been sitting in a warmer for hours as they were both luke warm and tough. Waitress came by after I finished the first one and asked if everything was ok. I said no actually this food is not fresh not hot. She shook her head as though agreeing and walked away. Never saw her again until I was ready to leave. Not anything about this experience would ever bring me back. And I'm a local not a tourist passing through. Much better choices than this all around this area. read more

For that alone, it was worth it The food : - salsa tasted like water - the chicken tortilla soup was literally ALL oil. I got a heaping spoonful of oil. The waitress got this comped off of our check. You could see the oil and fat just sitting on top. - the tacos were also very very very oily. One squeeze from the traditional street taco and oil would come running out. They definitely keep their food in it - not fresh by any means. - kids mac and cheese was literally box krafts - for 8 bucks. Listen- the food is just mid. 25 January 25 there was the OWA Art Festival and I don't think they were prepared for all the people. We waited a while for a table and then for our food. But when the wait staff is doing double duty and actually RUNNING around to serve people , you don't mind. The bartender had a full bar plus she was seating people. The food was very good. read more

We had a large group, they were very efficient. All was delicious. The salsa and queso, excellent flavor. Seafood quesadillas and enchiladas were raved about how good they were. Searching for TexMex with good margaritas? Come to Cozumels!! We have been to Cozumels in OWA 4 times now and every time is superb! Prices are affordable! Ask for the spicy salsa (In photo) So full of flavor and fresh tomatoes and peppers. The regular salsa they bring to the table is for those that don't like spicy.. AKA my hubs. The fajitas are my favorite so far. Great portions, steak was soft and chicken juicy! The Hot & Spicy Burrito is HUGE but not too spicy yum. Crispy tacos are full of meat. Guacamole is fresh, not the frozen yuck. Best of all the margaritas are on point! We keep ordering the sangria frozen. Not too sweet, has a good kick. One of my favorites on the island. But most importantly for any restaurant the service is top notch!! Dinora and Juan make us feel like family. This is a staple in our restaurant weekly rotation (we are local) Someday we will have to do the salsa dance night on Saturday night. read more

Chips were hot but no salt, and store bought, salsa was watered down beyond words. I ordered fajitas and there was no flavor, even the peppers had and onions were tasteless. Take it from a Texas girl, this place is the place! Their fresh salsa is spicy and full of rich flavors. I've tried their Eggs and Chorizo lunch dish is amazing and the closest I have gotten to TexMex breakfast tacos. I've also had their fajitas which comes with amazing portion sizes and the steak had great flavor. The burrito is as large as your head and probably the best thing on their menu if you have the appetite to conquer it.
