It seems like they want you to keep coming back to get what should have been down the first time. I should have know better. There does not seem like there are any doctors out there anymore. Most are scared to give certain prescriptions but that is why they are there. Not at all like who I went to who retired and the one before him and before him etc. They were real doctors unlike what you have now. I made an appointment here two hours ahead of time and I was seen five minutes before my appointment time. I spent about a half hour in the waiting room after checking in, but I was early, so it wasn't a big deal. My nurses and practitioners were all kind and understanding. They kept testing until we found the root of my issues and made sure I understood the severity of my condition. They also kept me in care until my fever went down. I'd recommend this place to anyone in need of urgent care. It's not glamorous, but I was given the care that I needed.

As far as Dr. Mills goes, I understand how some other reviewers could give her a negative rating, because she does have a certain way about her that can be misinterpreted. But she really is smart and great, it's just the practice's increased emphasis on cost-cutting and speed, and her trying to increase productivity as others seem to tell her is better, when it is not, and she is better than that. The change in reviews here and on other websites over time is noticeable, where people used to talk about how great the doctors, including Dr. Mills were, and how much time Dr. Mills spent with patients and really caring for and about patients, while newer reviewers talk about how quick and curt she seems. I believe it is a function of someone telling her that is how to increase productivity, and (thought some of the staff are really good and nice) because she has certain staff that have no care for the patient and only want to rush patients, and even rush Dr. Mills. Being a primary doctor is calling, and the relationship that patients have with their GPs is much different then with other doctors. Dr. Mills has the ability to be one of the great ones, but she has to follow her caring soul, and not what her staff say or what she is told will make more money. Dr. Mills and the other doctors also need to recognize that staff should not be able to run the direction of the practice or treatment of patients as some do. Things are only worse for many of us, since they stopped taking insurance and charging well above insurance allotments. Again, somebody must have convinced Dr. Mills that was a way to make more money - likely staff who did not want to deal with billing codes - but it is not. Some offices cut their prices after stopping to take insurance, but this office charges more. Most people just cannot afford to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars for basic doctors visits, and in the end, we all go to less doctors visits and get less medical care than than we need, and they get less patients then they need. It's a lose-lose. So, I would encourage you to still try Dr. Mills, but encourage her to be her caring self, and take time, and not be rushed by staff who seem to control things, and not to make the practice an assembly line. Care for patients, take insurance, spend the time, be nice - and everyone will profit in money, happiness and soul. We were quite sure Medstar wouldn't want me sitting in their waiting room, especially since there was no question of the diagnosis, and we were right. They referred us to their E-visit option. Shortly we received a sign-in text and started the process. It was much like filling out the information form for a visit at the facility. We had a couple of glitches, mostly our fault, but got signed in. Soon a screen popped up telling me that I was "in the waiting room and there were two patients ahead of me." It was nice to sit on my own couch, sipping coffee and cuddling with my puppy while I waited. It wasn't long before Opal signed in and we started our visit. Opal went over my meds and warned me of some interactions to look for when I started the Plaxlovid. Sure enough my blood pressure fluctuated and I had to adjust my bp meds. I was really impressed with the thoroughness of the visit, how pleasant Opal was, and how easy the whole process was.

sometimes their good sometimes their bad. went in around june because i knew that i was coming down…read morewith the flu or covid. both tests came back negative and the doctor then told me it was allergies. i have never had allergies before and asked if i could be prescribed something against the flu because i know my body and know it was coming. the doctor told me to take Claritin a month before my allergy symptoms usually come and sent me on my way. the next day i was so sick i couldn't get out of bed. ended up having covid symptoms d for 6 days. i wish the doctor had just listened to me, i know my body best. went again in august after returning from a europe trip because i had a splinter in my foot for the last 11 days. they took x-rays and checked my foot out and told me nothing was there. i then went to a foot doctor in the area and she took x-rays and found not only wood but also a piece of glass the size of my ring finger nail. turns out the urgent care didn't x-ray my foot correctly. they did correctly diagnose my mom with rsv tho and that doctor was super nice and explained everything well and answered all her questions. i've had good experiences as well such as when i had strep and the flu last year. it's a hit or miss honestly

A new sterilization procedure called Essure was available. Dr. Kreitmann was the closest doctor to my residence who is Essure-certified. I went in for an informative consultation session and scheduled the procedure at the end of April. Kathy, my case manager, had good "phone-side" manners while working with my insurance company. I was prescribed on various medications that were required to take weeks or days before and after the procedure. I received an information packet which proved useful in describing the Essure procedure in greater detail. The procedure itself only took an hour. While it wasn't exactly pain-free (I haven't had children), I managed to be back on my feet a day after. It was very interesting to watch "live footage" from the camera on a LCD screen. (It reminded me of Disney World's Body Wars ride too much.) Since that day, I have been very happy about my decision. As for Dr. Kreitmann, he is very knowledgeable and professional. He returns phone calls promptly and calls to check on his patients. His wife, a physician as well, was equally pleasant. It is evident that they value and care for their patients. I strongly recommend Dr. Kreitmann not only for the Essure procedure, but other gynecological services as well.

The clinic has no pager, no voicemail to get a follow up from the doctor or staff after hours and only a typical message to call 911 in emergecy. Result: no diagnosis, no prescription, no visit summary, like she hasn't been there.
