This place in the Walmart plaza! DELICIOUS!! when I tell you we walked in with low hopes because every Mexican place we went to were trash THIS PLACE SAVED THE DAY! We were seated promptly as soon as we walked in and our waiter gave us waster and ace ordered a drink and we ordered our food! I got a Philly cheesesteak and fries ace got street tacos beans and rice and some other stuff! EVERYTHING WAS SO DELICIOUS! The place was clean and smelled good! Good mexican restaurant. We had the enchiladas sonora (shredded chicken) and the steak tacos. Good tender chicken with lots of flavor. Steak was well cooked. Chips, salsa and queso were good, pretty standard. Our server was attentive for the most part,was on top of drink refills. The interior is eclectic, nothing fancy but comfortable and kinda cool. The chicken tortilla soup was the bomb! But in my experience restaurants normally call that size a "cup". I ordered the bowl thinking I was going to get the normal bowl size (I'm a frequent soup person at restaurants). So it was misleading when I got what is typically the smaller portion. The waiter didn't really check on us enough either and I felt like there really weren't many guests for that to not have been a priority. Idk if I'll go back. The "bowl" menu said $9 and I was ultimately charged $14 so I was confused why such a disconnect but I just let them have it and didn't include a tip yall can be mad but whatever I felt like a tip wasn't warranted and it's not my responsibility when industries could just change the narrative and not require me to pick up the slack. And again if they had checked in more maybe but not only was I overcharged I wasn't even waited on! But soup (despite the expected size) was still fire so 3 it is! read more

The food was good, but in a city with so much amazing Mexican food, it lands at a solid 3/5 for me. I had the fajitas (hard to go wrong there), and my fiancé ordered the enchilada and taco combo. I met up with a couple of friends here after work for dinner. Full disclosure, we planned on going to another restaurant and found it to be closed so ended up at Senor Antonio's accidently. We were seated very quickly by a friendly employee and we were brought chips, salsa and separate individual cups for putting our salsa, bonus points. Unfortunately the chips needed seasoning so we had to add salt and the salsa was not good, bland at best. Not surprisingly the menu is quite large with many options to chose from. I had the sizzling vegetable fajitas, my friend had the same fajitas plus chicken and my other friend had the Hacienda Chicken Salad. I found the fajitas to be quite good, a nice mix of veggies and a good level of seasoning. I think one more tortilla would have been good but that is a minor point. The fajitas came with beans, rice, a bit of guacamole, and some pico. The guac was a bit mushy and again not a lot of flavor and the rice was a bit like colored white rice. Just not what I expected. The service was good but could have been better. we sat with empty water glasses for far too long in a restaurant that was not that busy. I'll go to a better sub par one from now on if I want below average Mexican food! The chimichangas that are on special-are disgusting! A chimichanga is supposed to be crispy on the outside..not mushy. The chicken and Chorizo dish - the chorizo had no flavor. Why else do you get Chorizo? It was old or a cheap brand...or it was spoiled. We didn't get sick so I assume it was the other options. The 4 Enchiladas meal..does not come with rice and beans. If you order a side of rice and beans you get a whole plate of beans and a whole plate of rice. I ordered a whole meal...I don't need a meal of rice and a meal of beans also. This restaurant is one of the longest established restaurants in Lewis Center. The decor in this restaurant is very cool. It reminds me a bit of the decor on the boat ride located in the Mexico area of Epcot in Florida. The food here is delicious and even the lunch portions are huge. My favorite is the Pollo Bravo, which comes with tender chicken strips, chorizo sausage and burrito papa onions. This dish is served with Mexican rice and refried beans, sided with lettuce, guacamole and flour tortillas. I've been coming here for many years and the service is always decent, the food served fairly quickly and again, the food itself is delicious. read more

I have been here a small handful of times, precovid, and most recently I decided to pop back in. For the area, it's one of the most long lasting restaurants - so they're doing something right. I most recently came in after hiking at high banks, and they were moderately busy (close to the start of the dinner rush on a Sunday). I wasn't feeling too hungry, but a quesadilla sounded good - I believe I ordered the Antonio, and oh my GOD it was good. Tender, juicy, perfect. I was heading to a Friday Night Football game and Senor Antonio's was on the way. I stopped in for a quick dinner, before I continued on to the game. I found a seat at the bar. There was only one bartender and the bar was full. Lots of people must have decided to stop into Senor Antonio's that evening. I felt like I had a to wait to even place a drink order, but again, there was only one bartender with a full bar. I quickly ordered my dinner too, because I didn't have tons of time to waste. When my chimichanga dinner arrived it was fine. The dish did not wow me. The rice was not good. I wasn't even impressed with the guacamole, but it was all edible. It sufficed for the evening. At least I didn't go to the game starving. Nothing impressed me though, and I probably won't go back. But the restaurant and bar were packed so I think that many people love Senor Antonio's. Everyones taste is different and I'm sure that many find Senor Antonio's great, it just wasn't my favorite. This is our family's go-to local Mexican eatery. Staff is friendly and fast, food is consistently great. Kiddo has grown up eating here. I get the Enchiladas con Mole - that mole sauce is just delicious. Hubby varies it a bit between tacos, burritos, specials - but loves it all. Kiddo always gets a cheese quesadilla with sour cream and avocado slices on the side. Chips and salsa are fresh and plentiful, from the moment you sit down. I missed the check in here. We stopped for a quick lunch on a Saturday. I ordered the Pronto Lunch. A chicken quesadilla with rice and beans. The rice was vey good. It was obviously freshly made. The refried beans were delicious, yet oddly plain. I liked the fact that you can see some bean skins inside. The quesadilla is interesting to me. It's the first time I have encountered one with shredded chicken. And it didn't have any peppers or onions. Yet, it was one of the better ones I have had. The salsa is very well balanced. No one flavor predominated. Again very good. We were seated quickly despite them being full. The waiter was efficient, and the food arrived quickly. We were in and out in 45 minutes. We went today for a late lunch (1:15p), & were not disappointed! We'd never been here before & decided to try it out as we were driving by. I had the Burrito Colorado & she had the Burrito Chile Verde. Both were VERY tasty & large portions. The service was amazing quick! Our order came to our table before we knew it. Probably the first time I've ever been disappointed in the service, and the manager's attitude in NOT properly handling the concern. My wife and my mother-in-law ordered exactly the same dish, and repeated the order back twice. What they got was wrong, causing a 10 minute delay in getting the correct meal out. When we pointed this out to the manager at the cash register, he basically blew us off, saying "you got what you wanted at the end, right?" On a $74 check, he could have comped a percentage, or anything, for that matter. Poor service, bad attitude. read more

Senor Antonio's is another average Mexican eatery. It's located in a strip mall. This has the character of a strip mall too. It's for people who don't want to be challenged. They drink and eat and go back to the office. I had the margarita with chips and guacamole. It's about $5 for a 16 ounce. The margarita is cold and refreshing. It could use some more kick. There wasn't much alcohol in it, and it tasted sort of plain. It has the usual Mexican American food. There isn't anything that pops out from the menu. It's also overpriced like Mexican restaurants often seems to be. The service also seems quite slow. If you're in the area it's a good reason for you to check out Senor Antonio's. It's just an average Mexican American restaurant. There's too many others for me to make a special trip only for there. read more

I have been to this place few times and the food and the services has always been consistent. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating and the food is always great. There is hardly any wait time to be seated. You are given complimentary chips and salsa, and the salsa is really good. I would definitely recommend getting the "Pollo Rodeo" for the entrée. That's my favorite. It's a chicken and shrimp platter with rice and beans. The portion size of the platters are pretty big. I am always full with left-overs.
