Mold coming from vent upon arrival- we were told "it wasn't mold" NO ONE CAME TO SPEAK WITH US or even look

AVOID VACASA! We will never use them again ! Worst customer service EVER- we were completely ignored, no humans even respond- all robots on phone correspondence or LIARS

We are staying in sea colony for the first time. we arrived yesterday and are only here for the weekend. Upon arrival we checked into the office to get our info. we head across the street to our rental unit and the door code they gave us did not work. It was 100 degrees outside and the outdoor hallway has no airflow. We had my 11 month old baby and our 3 year old with us. All of our luggage with us. We call the office and the guy we spoke to was of absolutely no help. he said he was going to send someone up to unlock the door for us while we figure out the new code. no one ever showed. we ended up calling back and after wasting time on our short trip we finally got into the room. Now today we are at the beach and we have a big sun tent up. We set it up early in the morning so we were closer than we were allowed to be. Which we did not know until the lifeguards came on duty and asked us to move it back behind the orange flag. We completely understood and moved it with no hesitation. 5 minutes later a guy on the 4 wheeler comes by and yells at us that we are not completely behind the flag. Our one pole was sticking no lie 1 foot past the flag spot. This place has been nothing but a disaster. So we once again had to move our tent. Out sleeping baby under it. All the kid toys. Our chairs. Everything. We will never ever come back to this disgraceful place.

Too much security, being stopped and questioned while driving , going to the beach or pool. The permanent residence treat renters like they have Ebola. This is a retirement community that does not like young people being around. They are pompous, arrogant residence who do not like Outsiders.

This place is terrible. It all has a very 70s vibe. The place we stayed in had cracked ceilings and vents, broken toilet seats, no internet, doors to condo that were broken posing a safety issue, pools aren't as nice as pictured so don't be deceived. Vacasa is challenging to work with because there's no communication. I had issues with asking about beach access, shops, one person told me there was no tram, but there is. Everything in our condo is dated and broken. Very poor cleaning practices. Fire alarm beeped then went dead, maintenance guy could not get tvs or internet to work, said it was unacceptable.

Another gorgeous sunrise from our unit

We stayed in Sept. 2021 during the "2nd season". The only cons about that time period are for example, is that many things are shut down, such as the small shop with Starbucks on the east side, all but the Edgewater outdoor pool. Most of the shops in Bethany Beach and also in the small Rehoboth boardwalk area are not open during the week days at all, or those few that are close by 5 p.m. All farmers markets are closed for the season too. Also not their fault at all, but one always needs to be mindful about hurricanes coming up the coast or present there after summer. That all said... I was a bit concerned about returning to the same unit we had rented 3 years prior, because Vacasa now runs much of the resort. I had read several negative reviews about that, therefore my concerns. BUT... I am very glad to say WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT over last time! The first time in this unit when Resort Quest ran most rental units for Sea Colony, every single surface was sticky tacky and didn't improve after we went out and got cleaning supplies and wiped it all down. Vacasa had everything spotless, there were more than enough linens and towels, and everything was in great condition. I don't know if there are new owners for this unit, but there were new couches, a new master bedroom set. This was our 4th stay at Sea Colony east and we will definitely go back next year if this unit is still available. I would book it now, but there is absolutely no refund for it, and who knows what will be 10 months from now!

Check in was easy and efficient and our room was in the adjoining house with a large great-room that was stunning available to everyone staying there with a fireplace, large kitchen, sitting area and dining table. I loved that their sign said to please vacate by 9pm bc our room was on the third floor directly across the hall from it and right beside the community half-bath servicing it and the room had no soundproofing at all. You could hear even minimal talking from that great room (and it doesn't have a door). That is my only complaint about this Inn. The provided breakfast daily was wonderful. The first day we had quiche and the second we had chocolate chip pancakes. All made fresh when you sit down and included sides, coffee, fruit, and yogurt. Really delicious and good quality and the staff were so nice. My husband is diabetic and they easily modified the options to meet his lower carb/sugar request. They also have daily evening tea with a sweet treat which is fun and coffee, tea, and lemon water are available all day and night. Our room was beautiful and looked exactly like the photos and the inn is so charming. Perfect landscaping, all common areas are so cute, and the location is to die for right on the beach, with access to the sand just steps from the lovely wrap-around porch. We were unlucky and it was basically a freezing Nor'easter the weekend we came, so we didn't get to enjoy the beach, the bikes, or any of the out door amenities - but we still found it charming and enjoyed both the Inn and the town. Hopefully, we can come back again in the fall and enjoy milder weather.

I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel, but even better, it is an old charming, turn of the century, quaint home experience. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Amenities are great at no extra cost - I took advantage of their bikes and yoga mat! I love that they invite you to stay after check-out to continue to enjoy the property. And watching the sunrise over the water was the icing on the cake. Normally, their rates would be beyond my budget, but with the WinterEscape promotion of 20% off, it was very reasonable. I will definitely be back!

Hear me out with this review:…read more I have never stayed in a Bed & Breakfast house before and when I was initially trying to book somewhere to stay in Rehoboth Beach this was the first place suggested. The house contains rooms with private bathrooms and rooms on a floor with shared bathrooms. I was very hesitant to book at first when I read that I would have to "share" a bathroom. We just returned home after a 4 night stay here and we were more than satisfied! Tom, the house owner, is super kind, personable and hospitable. His other workers (Rayvn and Chris) are also so helpful and always get you what you need. You can request to have breakfast in the morning from a menu selection and they bring you your food out at the time you request to have it ready for you . Tom always came and checked up on us wherever we were sitting during breakfast to chat about random things, show us his puppy and ask us if we wanted more food or needed anything. The room we stayed in had a shared bathroom in the hallway (we stayed on the 2nd floor and other rooms shared 2 full baths and a half bath with us) and it was actually very clean. The staff did a good job replenishing towels each day and cleaning the shower/toilet/sink. Felt very comfortable here. We would love to try a room with a private bathroom (it was so booked up when we tried to get one initially so book way in advance!) I love that the beach was only a 4 minute walk and access to the main streets was only an alley walk away from the house. No complaints at all after this stay. When we sat out on the porch each morning and night, many people would walk by making comments about how pretty and interesting the establishment was. The interior of the house smells super good and is clean. Highly recommend staying here! Overall 5/5 stars and we will definitely be back next year

The bedroom balcony was huge and beautiful, affording me a panoramic view of the ocean 24/7. At night I kept the balcony door open and fell asleep to the sound of the ocean roaring across the way. Everything I needed was inside the room - kitchenette, large shower, smart tv, lamps, extra lighting, and lots of towels. The innkeeper Liza is such a beautiful person and extended herself to me beyond what I expected. I wasn't sure how to get there and she offered to pick me up from the station - so sweet. I love her! I ended up driving in but it's the thought that counts. It's not every day that people offer things they don't have to do. The beach is clean and felt really private in October. I'm sure the summer is more packed, but it can't be that bad because Cape May itself is just beautiful. There are restaurants, clothes, souvenirs and so much more to do on that strip. I can't wait to go back there.

As for location, this beach house is exactly where you want to be. There is only one road between you and the beach and it can't get much better than that. You can see and hear the ocean from almost every room in the house so you can enjoy it at all times. The beach is great as well. It's very large and goes very wide. You can spend hours just in front of the 931 swimming or looking for shells. As for activities close to the beach house, there are tons. Everything in Cape May is in walking distance or a very short minute or 2 drive away. There's museums, an arcade, tours, shops, and a lot of local restaurants that will fit anyone's needs. Most of these are right down the street from you, so if you feel like it, you can walk the beach on your way to lunch. For 931 it's self we were more than pleased. It's a very cute Victorian style house that has a modern beach theme on the inside. The rooms are a good size, beds are comfy, and every space has a decent kitchen. Everything is decorated very well and doesn't feel tacky or cluttered. The rooms are well separated and you don't feel too close to any other guests. It's a nice relaxing stay for everyone involved. Overall, 931 Beach House is a cute home that has a lot to offer. It's comfortable and in a great location. Also the people that run the house were amazing and fun to talk too. If you are ever in the area and need a place to stay I highly recommend this one. I know we will be back!

The downside about being so close to the boardwalk is that you can hear everyone walking up and down the street and their conversations. We were on the bottom level so we heard everything! You can also hear other tenants conversations in detail through the walls of the bathrooms. In addition, the max height in the basement rooms is probably 5'7. I'm 5'2 and I could literally touch the ceiling without any effort. The cleanliness of the room was dubious at best. Things had an extra layer of dust on it which meant to me that the room hadn't been cleaned in a while. They had an identified stain on them -- could be blood, could be pasta sauce. Breakfast was meh but it was included in the price. Related to the breakfast, if you were in the rooms you could smell the breakfast being made. Normally, that wouldn't be a bad thing. However, the first morning we were there someone was burning bacon and that was all I could smell in the morning. Ironically, One of my roommates burns their bacon every. single. morning. I was hoping for two days away from the smell of burning bacon but to no avail. If you have an allergy don't believe them when they say just let them know and they will accommodate you. I was only able to eat the fruit. So if you're looking for just a place to put your head at night that gets you extremely close to the boardwalk and you don't care about cleanliness or sleep, this might be the place for you.

The table had a clear plastic line over a blue and white print tablecloth. They were stains and crumbs in between the liner and the tablecloth. Extension cords There was an extension cord hanging from the corner of the right side of the front porch, which was used to light a village display on the front porch. The extension cord was exposed to rain creating an electrical hazard. There were multiple extension cords hanging and or improperly exposed through out the apartment: creating a safety hazard for small children. Living Room There were two large dirty sofas in the living room and extension cords hanging from the ceiling. Allergies When we arrived we had no problems with allergies. After the first night and every night thereafter, we were coughing, sneezing, unable to sleep, had itching, tearing and burning eyes. The carpets, draperies and ceiling fans were dusty and dirty. Departure On Friday, September 15th, we asked the Innkeeper, Deanna Brown, to do a walk threw to make sure the apartment was left as we found it-what a joke! After Deanna Brown finished her walk threw of the apartment, she was standing in the living room and she said, "Well it looks like nothing has been taken!" Management The Innkeeper Deanna Brown is rude and has the personality of sandpaper. Summary I have never stayed in a vacation rental like this before: the house is nasty, dirty and is in need of major renovations. Very Dissatisfied Guest

It is neat, clean and comfortable. A sliding glass door, that includes a screen so I can catch the sea breeze as well as the sound of the waves breaking, leads to the shared porch area. There are at least two closets (plenty for this one bedroom) and my condo even has some sand toys and a beach chair that guests are free to use. The grounds of the condos includes a common area with a playground for the kiddies, a porch swing and grills. All condos are no smoking, there is maid service but I have to wash my own dishes, the maids do everything else. Located off the boardwalk, the Windjammer offers a quiet respite, fabulous views at affordable rates.
