"Cause I'm running on the bad side And I got my back to the…read morewall Tenth Avenue freeze-out" (Bruce Springsteen) The hotel is simply beautiful. There are so many seating options in the lobby that look as though they came out of a beach resort magazine. The hotel posts a daily board of local restaurant specials, and the hotel itself offers plenty of great extras, like wine and cheese every day from 5:00-6:00, and cookies and milk every evening at 8:00 in the lobby. Complimentary lobby coffee is available 24/7, so there are no coffee makers in the rooms. There's also a big game room with dozens of board games. They have an indoor pool and sauna, and an outdoor hot tub. Our hotel room was quite large, with a huge flatscreen TV, a work desk, a king-sized bed, a sofa, and a coffee table. The in-room Wi-Fi and the satellite TV worked great. The bath was on the smaller size, but it looked brand new. The shower had plenty of hot water and the only nitpick was maybe the pressure from the rainfall style shower head could have been a teense more forceful. We had a nice private balcony overlooking the street and their street level firepit and seating area. The overall location is great, just a very short walk to the boardwalk and beach and within hundreds of stores and restaurants. The daily breakfast was stellar -a bounty of pre-made omelets, Sausages, Baked pears, Cereals, Oatmeal (with mix- ins like nuts, chocolate, granola, seeds, coconut), Pastries, whole and cut fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese, hash browns, and ham slices. Our off-season rate was a little over $100 a night, quite a good deal for the hotel's luxury and services. Guest service was excellent at every encounter we had.

They were very helpful when we decided to stay an additional night and had no problem accommodating us and allowing us to stay in the same room on our additional night. Housekeeping didnt get this note to say we were staying an extra day and the woman was very confused as to why we were still there. No big deal at all though. The rooms and decor could use some updating, the appliances are very old as well Its absolutely amazing out back along the bay. The prices were good and we had a great stay.

The unit was also filthy with black crusted mold and dust coating the AC's main vent. Plus when we turned it on the room smelled like dirty wet socks. There was trash left behind as well on the floor. I immediately took a picture and shared with the front desk staff. They were dismissive and said it would get handled. It never got resolved. Very disappointed in the way this situation was not dealt with - the staff did not care. Plus the "resort" was not well maintained as there were washers & dryers on the third floor in desperate need of repair. Stay away from this dirty establishment.

We asked to be moved to the dining room. Staff was extremely rude and stuck us in the back in the dining room by ourselves and ignored us until we asked to be served. For $155 per person, we expected a much higher level of quality and service. The service throughout the meal was extremely slow, the food was mediocre at best, and the brunch setup felt confusing and underwhelming. There was a buffet for salads and sides, but then guests still had to select an entrée from a dinner-style menu in the middle of the day. The dessert buffet was nearly empty by the time we got there, and we ended up being served parfaits instead. They didn't even provide parfait spoons, and we had to ask for a knife just to scrape the bottom of the glass. The property itself is beautiful, but unfortunately the dining experience did not come close to justifying the price. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed, especially for a special occasion like Mother's Day.

The hot tub isn't big but it's fine for a few people and great to have right next to the spa. The parking is free on the off season and once you're in, you can easily walk a few blocks to the beach or all around town. I hear they have a shuttle but we never needed them. The room is very big and we enjoyed the small balcony just as a feature. On a warm day you want to just enjoy snacks and a breeze I can imagine it is wonderful. We enjoyed the fireplace. The bathroom lights were a bit complicated but the tub was enormous and luxurious for a soak! The coffee nook with fridge was perfectly outfitted and great for storage. The room lights were a bit flickery but not a major issue. Paying for the higher adults only floor was WORTH IT! They keep the snacks area ready with basic chips and cookies and the cooler with sodas and water and refresh it all the time. The sitting room with its own fireplace is super cozy and you can play a card game or build legos being away from any hecticness. Plus afternoon cookies, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate were not to be missed! Those were great to take as a dessert after dinner or relaxing in the room. I bet in the warmer months the outside terrace is great to enjoy for reading. The bar service was good, whether you wanted drinks or meals things came out decently in good time and well done. I think the prices are very reasonable. The area has so many great options but if you just want to stay in you'll be fine! The breakfast experience was fine- the omelet stations were good but really did take a long time. Maybe just a lack of experience. Good selection of everything and while the bakery station had a variety of scones and muffins, they weren't always fresh tasting and the fruit wasn't much a variety. They will sometimes fill up and you'll have to sit in the cold conference room rather than the cozy vestibule. So go early if you want all the best options and won't be rushed. I can imagine this place is always busy but in the off season months I absolutely recommend this to any couple or single who wants to get away- shops are still open, restaurants still active, and the beach is still refreshing!

Shuttle to get guests to the beach or other locations Cute lounges and patio Meh: Rooms are pretty underwhelming in design & decor (furniture looked pretty worn, dark carpet--shudder--and Motel 6 vibes in the bathroom). No towel bars in the bathroom. Poor water pressure. Walls are thin, so we could hear people in the next room and in the hall. Tiny pool that seemed murky (?) and had sand in it. Hot-tub looked like a good place to get electrocuted (it was taped together in places, missing covers on parts. Maybe it's perfectly safe, but gave me pause. There is only one elevator, so I'd advise taking the stairs, as it can be a wait. There is a $15.00 charge to park per day (which is cheap, I think), but I missed that when booking, so was a little surprised on checking out. Maybe remind guests of the fee on check-in? Also, while we had our own chairs, so we didn't need it, the Bellmoor charges to rent beach chairs. I can see taking a deposit, but charging just seems cheap. On the flip side, I have yet to find a really nice hotel in Rehobeth, so this might be as good as it gets.

Instead of answering what should have been a very basic question, I was told that I needed to "bring my tone down." When I explained that I no longer wanted to speak with the representative who was not helping me and asked to speak with a supervisor, I was hung up on. I called back and, unbelievably, had another similarly unprofessional experience. I again asked to speak with a supervisor, but they were unable or unwilling to connect me with one. I was simply trying to find out the rate for a room. It should not be this difficult. If a potential customer becomes frustrated because they cannot get a straightforward answer, lecturing them about their tone rather than addressing the problem is not customer service. Hanging up on someone who asks for a supervisor is even more concerning. In a way, I'm glad this happened before I booked a room because it gave me a very clear indication of the level of customer service I could expect. The house we chose was on the 2nd hole of the Jack Nicklaus Golf Course. I'm not a golf-sicko like so many of my friends, but this was special. The views overlooking the course from our balconies were stunning. My son and I played the course and it was about as well manicured as any course I have ever seen. Whatever Troon Golf is doing to keep that place looking pristine -- keep up the good work. And maybe you could swing by my personal home and work on the grass a bit - it looks nothing like yours! The rest of the resort is first rate. The kids had a ball at the wave pool and my wife and daughter said the spa was pure luxury. The restaurant was somewhere between good and better than good. I guess standard level for a clubby setting. That said, we ate most meals in Rehoboth -- which worked out fairly well. Overall a great place to take the family for a golf/beach/resort getaway. Plus the cost of the rented house was no different than 2 hotel rooms at the beach -- yet the accommodations were incredible and the amenities of Peninsula were really quite special. It's conveniently located to the shops/restaurant and the beach- within walking distance. The staff is welcoming and helpful. It has street parking, and a parking garage for guests only. The hotel boasts of a beautiful indoor pool and restaurant. The restaurant/bar Sirocco is very elegant and was completely full both nights of our stay. The pool is nice and heated, but still chilly in cold weather - though my kids didn't seem to mind. The doors open out to a nice rooftop patio in nicer weather. There is a small gym, though I didn't get a chance to go look at it. There are some points of improvement: - we left our room at 8 in the morning. When we came back around noon, it had not been visited by the cleaning staff. When we left and came back again around 3, it had been visited but only stocked with fresh towels and the trash was taken out. Our soiled towels and some dishes were still on the floor/sink. When we left for dinner, I mentioned it to the front desk attendant at 530. He was very apologetic and said they would send someone up to address the issue. When we got back at 8, our soiled towels were gone, but that was it. The beds were not made, and there were still old dishes on the sink from the night prior. - I pulled out one of the clean (or so I thought) glasses from the cabinet in the room and noticed it had a bunch of finger prints. So I pulled each and every one out of the cabinet and was surprised and disappointed to see not only fingerprints but LIP prints on all of the glassware, as if they had been put back dirty after multiple uses. I cleaned a glass in the sink with hot water and soap for my own usage, but that's less than optimal for a Hilton affiliate. Other than that, a great family visit at a nice hotel. We talked to the assistant general manager Cyrus and he was great with service recovery for our two small complaints!
