Some may call it pretentious and they are absolutely right. It is! Nonetheless Sea Me is a pretty nice place and a fine fish restaurant. We have been there numerous times and always got a good product. However, the catch of the day really is a little overpriced. I would suggest to stay on the menu if you are looking for a better price-value-balance. From a personal point of view it seems, that Sea Me has seen its best days. I had an incredible meal at Sea Me. It's expensive for Lisbon, but inexpensive for a fancy meal coming from the United States. If you're in a group, I'd recommend choosing a few whole fish, prawns, or other shellfish from the fresh fish bar at the front of the restaurant instead of ordering off the menu. The only sushi I'd recommend here is the sardine nigiri - the sushi is good, but their cooked fish is amazing. All of the fish is SO fresh and the raw oysters we had were the best I have ever had, and I love raw oysters. We chose to have the bread service but not the vegetable and potato side - if you need vegetables, I'd opt for soup, veggie tempura, or a different vegetable side instead. The fish is really the star here, so spend your money on that. Their house wines are also great - get one of those, have some fish prepared for you to order, and relax! Really a treat to eat here. Love it! Awesome seafood with either pure or nouvelle creations with the same ingredient. Not the cheapest but if you're going for seafood you can not allow yourself to be cheap! The fish is also very fresh and tasty not like the ones from fish farms. Nice wine menu with many wine by the glass options. Finish the meal with a "prego no bolo do caco", a thin slice of beef in a bun. The downside is that the tables are too close to one another (like 20cm) Definitely a restaurant to go. read more

I've been there a couple of times now, and they never fail to impress me. Excellent and very fresh food. Very good sushi and grilled fish (which you can pick yourself). Most of the staff is very kind (and attractive ;)), even with a tough crowd. Points for the interior. The place succeeds in offering a modern and cosy place to eat at the same time. I'm also glad that they offer something more than the ubiquitous wine menu. They offer Estrella Damm as an excellent food pairing lager. I have to subtract one star for a desert that nearly killed me ;) I got a caffeine overdose from a desert with thickened coffee. After being away from home for two weeks, this restaurant was absolutely my favorite from friendly service and the freshest fish to delicious flavors experienced in every dish and sushi roll. We loved the variety of the mixed fish tempura, devoured the sea bass seaweed salad and were awed by the foie gras unagi roll with pink peppercorns. Back again, we ate here on our last night of our departure to Germany. Through Spain, and back to Lisboa and first stop was Sea Me and the Sushi Chief Vasco. We were in heaven on he first visit that there was no way we were going to not eat here again. Vasco made / makes the experience memorial. He described the dishes and how he prepared each dish. Suggestions galore and entertaining to boot. Stop by and ask for Vasco, and sit in the back sushi bar. You can get full service at the back sushi bar and i suggest it for the overview of what is going on with the tastes. Also a shout out to Felipe the head chief. A great eye to find Vasco. Good food. We ended up sitting at the bar bc we did not have a reservation but got there early enough to have open bar seating. Bartender was very friendly and made good recommendations. Small portions and expensive prices but overall tasty. The scallop started was delicious but my favorite thing here was the grilled eel on sweet potato. Soooo good. Good fusion food. However, food alone is not enough to bring me back to the restaurant again. This is a place that they know they are popular and they sure act like it. Our waiter is very nice, but the service from the manager is very off putting. The manager (or whoever he is, the person that leads/assigns the table in the front) is a snob and he sure makes you feel like he's judging you. Very uncomfortable and arrogant. Provides a wonderful experience although at a slightly more expensive price point than other restaurants. The reason for this is that they sell fish by the kilo. We ordered farm raised Sea bream which was terrific €29 per kilogram. We also ordered Sea Bass steaks which were €84 per kilogram. fantastic food but the staff (or atleast) the bartender could do with a little less scorn. dude was almost rude in how he tended to me. the others were way nicer. food, like i said, was great. the fish is kept on ice and grilled to order. the average order runs about 15 euro. be careful though, the total adds up fast if you go for starters and drinks too. read more

We arrived and were rudely asked if we had a reservation (no). They made a big deal of seating us on a Wednesday night (the place never filled up). We picked from the fish bar and were told that two of our dishes would be cooked in wine and butter (they came raw). They told us that the house bottle of wine was sold out and they was a great alternative (it was not and much more expensive). We had a rare red fish that was greatly oversalted, but couldn't send it back because we sat and flagged the waitress for 30 minutes (after we had asked for more bread 40minutes before.
