Wow, this was truly the best red tuna carpaccio and octopus i've ever ever had. It is quite pricey but it's absolutely worth it for the quality of the seafood. Second: As warned by others, they will put bread and dips down on the table and if you don't turn away, nice little charge on the bill for something you didn't order. Absolutely delicious seafood. I love this restaurant because it is a fun eating experience. I love being able to go up to the fresh fish counter and pick which fish I want. Also the sushi is delicious. I had the sashimi platter and it was so good and tasted so fresh. Two of my friends picked fish from the counter and they absolutely loved their meals. It is definitely a pricey restaurant but the food is great and overall I had a fantastic experience. I can see why this place is regularly rated one of the top in Lisboa. read more

5 stars, hands down. These guys (and girls) know what they are doing. They have gold in their hands (this is a Dutch saying, for everybody who wonders). Loaded with guests soon after opening time, which is 19:30. I myself would've liked 19:00 but who am I? (also a Dutch expression). I think I counted about 12 serving staff, without the lady owner who was walking around and at least 8 kitchen and bar staff. The menu is very rare and complicated, as in new and never seen the combinations before. There's an English menu, so I understood it all, it was just not like regular sushi, not even like classy sushi, it's fusion yes, with Portugese fish kitchen. I had the waitress recommend me some dishes. Had a strawberry/watermelon gazpacho for starters with a warm cuttlefish roll in a gorgeous sauce. Then I had the house roll with salmon and cream cheese and smoked sardines sushi. Both very good, especially the sardines. Also I had a seaweed salad mixed with pieces of raw fish. Loved it! I ended with a magic dessert of bright yellow (pineapple carpaccio) and bright blue (lavender ice cream) with silantro seeds. I went to sushi heaven and died. read more

Pfffftt!!! Wow. Just wow. They have this big case in the front with all the fresh seafood catches of the day that the server takes you up to and describes how they can prepare each of them. I've honestly never seen this before, but it's such a great idea. Fresh, fresh fish from the ocean that day, and they'll cook it up any way you want. They also do this kind of Portuguese/French fusion sushi. Unagi with Foie Gras? WTF?!?!? Why has no one ever thought of this before? Everyone spoke wonderful English which was so nice for us tourists. The service was amazing. The food was amazing. This was a great experience. This was ok but not great overall. I started with the cuttlefish with squid ink batter and it was pretty darn good. Although each piece of cuttlefish still had a little bit of ligament or something that had to be removed as you couldn't cut through it or chew it. For my main dish I had the Azores fish which said it was pan fried but I thought it seemed more like a deep fried fish stick. It was a little too dry for my liking. Service was great and prompt while sitting at the bar. The bartender was a nice guy who kept everything moving at a good pace. read more

We visited SeaMe on the first night in Lisbon. We were not disappointed! I have to say that Sangria was even more delicious than the ones i had in Barcelona. Lovely fusion dish with nice presentation. We actually came back a few days later for some takeaway but unfortunately they don't do it no more, they do sell oysters next door in SeaMe Home but they won't open for you so no thank you. Anyway, its better to make a reservation before u go unless you are going there 10pm on a Sunday night like I did. read more

I had a good experience at Sea Me. I read a lot of negative reviews about the place but I still was curious to check it out for myself. Surprisingly the night we went, it wasn't crowded at all. Which for me was a very bad sign. But we stayed and ordered ALOT of food. And were pleasantly surprised. Everything was fresh and tasted DELICIOUS! The staff was quite friendly and they also have an english menu so no confusion there. It's got an interesting selection of dishes and they are all fusion between Sushi and Portuguese specialities. I loved everything we ordered. But most of all the Scallops with mango sauce were divine! I could understand it being a hit or miss place, judging from the reviews. But if you're a risk taker and love interesting combos then this is the place for you. In my case it worked out and I was very happy to have ordered for 5 people. :)))) read more

One of the best seafood restaurants I have been in Portugal and Spain. One has to know how to order properly. Get your starters from the menu, but select the fish from the market selection. They can prepare it any way you want. Next time I will have sea bass cut into sushi. Sushi from the menu I would recommend only smoked sardines. Scallops, sea barnacles, oysters -- all should be selected from the market offering. Very reasonable prices and great quality! read more

The second visit after 1.5 years. Still a very good location. Having a fish market where you can choose fresh fish. Amazing 2016 creations which are marked in the menu. This time we took a tuna ceviche, a octopus and a tenderloin sandwich which fresh made chips. Very good! You have to make a reservation at least one day before. The waiter is nice and quick. If you love seafood you need to come here. It's awesome because you sit down and the first thing they do is walk you to the back to see the different catches of the day. The ice bar changes every day and is super fresh. If you feel like eating just fished products this is your place. The service is great and the options are plenty. The bread that they bring to the table comes with 3 different spreads you can use. Their wine selection is large and offers different options equally. I started off with fish ceviche like nothing I have tasted before, it was delicious I had never had ceviche with peanuts in it but I would totally do it again. I also had a soft shell crab sushi which was so cool because you can actually just put the whole thing in sauce and eat it. You don't have to peel away the shell because it is a soft shell crab. I think I got sick here. They also charge extra for the potatoes and vegetables that come with the fish. This is not normal in any of the Portuguese restaurants I have been to, even the expensive ones. They are just trying to rip people off. It's an overpriced tourist trap. If you want fancy fresh fish, go to Cervejaria Ramiro or Frade dos Mares, and it will still probably be cheaper than this. read more

Now this is a fun place as you go and pick the fish you want, and then they cook the fish for you the way you want it. It's tasty, and a nice experience, and feels very trendy. Little too trendy, actually. The price is pretty good for international standards, but expensive for Lisbon. We ended of a bill of about 50 Euro each with a grilled red fish, some sushi, half a dozen oysters, a scallop each, and two desserts to share amongst our party of four. When we left, however, I was still hungry because the fish was too small for the three of us to share. The fish itself took more than an hour to cook - which I guess make sense however it would have been nice for the waiter to set expectations. The vibe is very hip with a DJ in the entrance and lots of expats and traveling internationals at the tables. Although I was kind of happy with this, I think there are better places to get good fish and sushi, that may be better priced than this. However, we had lots of fun picking the fish and for a night out with friends where you crave something different, this is a good option. read more

Definite meh. Large restaurant (c 90 covers) that catered almost exclusively to tourists the night we were there. Almost before you have sat down they want to hustle you over to their seafood market where a lot of very fresh fish is lovingly being misted with water. If you want seafood porn, it's here, all sold by weight. They actively urge you not to take the sushi, saying it's a 45 minute wait. Fair enough, but if you don't want to serve sushi don't have it on the menu. Dutch group next to us insisted on sushi and probably wish they hadn't as it looked very bland. We went for a mixed seafood grill on a big platter - seabass, big shrimp and razor clams. With exception of seabass (which was tender and yummy) all was overcooked. Travesty for a EUR17 shrimp! Service was inattentive - at end they asked how our food was and we gave direct feedback and he asked why we had eaten it rather than telling him. That despite the fact it took us 20 minutes to get him to bring us water. Overall, sadly disappointed - our most expensive and least good meal in Lisbon. But if you've never seen fresh fish before and aren't going anywhere else that has it, this would no doubt be a wow. Living in SF, neither of those apply to me... read more

We arrived at 18.45 pm and there were people waiting Indeed, the restaurant opens and 19pm and it is your only way to get a seat with no reservation At the back of the restaurant, you see all the fresh fishes and you select your fish, then it will be prepared or grilled For a starter, I asked to have a sashimi of macreel, the service simply did it for us. The fish is delicious and we had a lovely evening For the deserts, simply, walk outside the restaurants and walk in the famous places around the city and try the delicious Lisbon speciality Pasteis DI nata with warm custard and some cinnamon on top! this place is super popular. it doesn't open for dinner til 730, and once 730 hits, the tables filled up. my friend and i came here for my last night in lisbon. we ordered a bunch of the sushi and apps to share. my fave was the cod nigiri which was seared and served warm w/ olive oil and almonds...delicious. my other fave was the seaweed and sea bass salad w/ daikon. the tuna tartare and the sushi dishes were so so...kinda bland. we did get these rolls w/ unagi and foie, which were super rich. there was a huge chunk of foie in the middle of the rice and the unagi topped the roll. it was a bit too much for us. read more

The over all experience of this place started off well. Our waitress showed us their fresh catch and lobster tanks in the basement. After that, the service went downhill in just about every aspect. Wrong orders, no clear idea of pricing (fresh catch is sold by weight), and zero clues on wines. When we told the manager he sent over another waiter to take our order. He was attentive but clearly over booked, so after he took our order it was back to the waitress who was in training and more wrong orders. When we ordered desserts, both wines and one of our desserts had to be sent back. The manager was made aware of it and couldn't be bothered, he seemed more troubled by us than his waitress in training. Perhaps it was a language barrier, perhaps incompetence, but we were pointing to items on the menu so what was the excuse? Everything we ate was delicious and fresh. But at this price point (approx. 200 Euros for two) and with this many tourists visiting your business, perhaps make a better attempt at staffing for the night and not subject your clients to amateur hour. We probably wouldn't rush back to this place. We had high hopes but left feeling shitty. read more

We have been there numerous times and always got a good product. However, the catch of the day really is a little overpriced. I would suggest to stay on the menu if you are looking for a better price-value-balance. From a personal point of view it seems, that Sea Me has seen its best days. Sure, it's still quit bustling but taking the numerous interesting new restaurants in Lisbon into account I really don't see Sea Me catching up. read more
