Steve is a great guy. I've been buying fish and tanks from him for years. He's very helpful and knowledgeable. He has a wide selection of fish and his prices are reasonable. I bought a bunch of corals, fish, and lights from him. Can't complain everything works well. He had a cool eel o got recently and it's very hardy fella. The store and tanks are clean and well maintained. Everything seems healthy and in good shape. The prices on everything I have bought have been good. I have bought all of my Marine fish, shrimp and corals here and they have all been very healthy and are doing great. The owner is very friendly and helpful and seems knowledgeable. read more

Their fish selection consists mostly of salt water fish. They also sell aquariums & aquarium supplies. I buy my tank water from here. Owner is knowledgeable and is happy to answer any questions you may have. They also have a tank cleaning service available. read more

This place is the Worst Fish store in the High desert It is overpriced, unhealthy fish and coral as well as sea plants, and will not work with you on any deals or take back something that dies within 5 days of purchasing from his shop. Worst customer service when called to ask for a replacement Anemone or credit on the one I purchased that died within 5 days of being in my tank which is extrememly healthy and functioning. We have given all of our business to Sea Otter due to the convenience of his location. The fish whisperer could not even bring it back to life. Good riddance to you Sea otter this is only my 1st review!!! Trust me I will be posting on every single website!! I really don't like going here but it's closer to me unfortunately. I would recommend seven seas instead. Every time I go in here to get a couple things I feel so unwelcome. As if I'm bothering them for being a customer. This place has definitely gone down hill over the years. I really like seven seas better, and I try to go there when ever I can. read more

It's worth passing this place to go the extra 2 miles to the better guy on 7th. I wish I hadn't started new to this hobby at this store, but now I know. I more than kept their lights on for the rest of the year with what I spent there over a few weeks. It didn't take long to discover his stuff is painfully overpriced, & when it comes to being any ounce of helpful or maybe offering a little guidance knowing you're a newb he DGAF. The quality of the 3 other salt water stores I've walked into since is like night & day compared to this place. They don't even offer anything in way of off different food/nutrients/liquids/test kits/accessories & stuff like other places. I will never spend another cent there, & the owner does come off hella rude from the start. This place is very good, I would say the best in the desert. Last month I purchased a fish, some Coral and live a rock and all are doing good. This guy was very helpful in my issues with ICK. and since I followed his advice the problem has been solved. I will gladly get all my Coral from them. read more

The fish and corals I have bought are always healthy. I see the bad reviews of peoples sea life dying. My guess is they are first timers at marine aquarium. It is definitely a science and requires research prior to starting. It is not difficult but requires some knowledge read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I am so disappointed in the quality of the fish they sold to us. I purchased salt, live rock and sand and set my aquarium up exactly as told. I ran my tank for 2 weeks, got the temperature perfect, sanity and specific gravity perfect and then decided to add fish. I had my water tested at the store also to ensure it was perfect. I went to this store because it was close to my house and they had good pricing on the fish. We bought 3 fish that day. The same day we brought them home we noticed white spots. We called the following day and they told us to do garlic oil and ground ginger for ick. On day 2 of the treatment 2 of the 3 fish died. I called and spoke to the owners and they did absolutely nothing for me. They told me pretty much too bad for you. After spending over 150$ on just their fish alone I'm extremely dissapointed that 2 days later I have a tank full of dead sick fish. They are greedy people that only care about money and not the products and animals they sell. I would have been better off throwing my hard earned money down the toilet. read more

warning!!!!!!! stay far far away from this fast food fish store the owner steve does not know what he is doing.. he his way over priced on his fish he sold me a 100 gallon system told me i can set it up and put fish in it the next day. and all would be good came back a spent over 300.00 in fish in a little over a week all the fish were dead..... called china he says my water was bad what the #!*&#@ how would he know ? told him i want my money back. he said no way!!!.. so i found someone that has a salt tank he checked mine out said where is the protein skimmer told him what is that then told me what is was uggg then said my sump was way to small and my lights were for a reptile tank!!!!!.. then he tells me why the fish died china did not tell me about cycling a tank and it would be 30 days be for i could put in real fish... my big loss learn from it china just wants your money stay far far away from sea otter fish ( what the hell is a sea otter fish?) read more
