Hit or miss. This location is located in a large shopping center with Vons, Ross and several other storefronts. It's a large Petco and offers grooming, training and pet supplies for dogs, cats, chinchillas, and a variety of pets. I believe they sell food and supplies for birds, fish, turtles and guinea pigs also. The cashiers are generally friendly. There was one that wasn't but I haven't seen her there for years. The store, like most animal stores, smells of animals...to be expected. Petco has Vital Care Rewards which I enjoy and 20% discount on litter and 10% discount on food. The parking in this area can be tricky and even a little dangerous, so be careful. There's several spots close to the front entrance of the store but when they fill up, the overflow parking is large but walking back to the entrance you pass a stream of oncoming traffic. There's speed bumps and usually cars will stop to let you pass but just be careful. They offer buy online and pickup in store. They also offer curbside pickup. read more

We called ahead and the person on the phone was very helpful and was able to tell us that there was a dog stroller available If you're on your way to Vegas and you need something for your dog or cat, you must really stop by here. Had an appointment for "vaccination clinic" in Hesperia CA. Vaccination clinics are supposed to be cheaper. They wanted $90 for 2 shots. Probably the worst Petco I have ever been in (and I've been in a lot). Employees are completely disinterested in helping you. When I ask for crickets, I'm met with obvious disdain that the employee now has to walk the 10ft to get them for me. This has happened numerous times. The animals in their care are clearly neglected. The Guinea pigs have grossly overgrown nails. There are multiple bearded dragons with oozing eye infections. Overall disgusting. Please don't support this place. My dog was to have dental surgery on 9-13-2025, Vet did not review my dogs records prior to surgery had she then she would've known my dogs glucose is low. When Lisa called she related this message to me I had to tell her about my dog's previous glucose issue. Lisa stated they have a lot of dogs (30 to be exact) and they don't have time. So, this is my thought why are they booking a lot of dogs like this? There was also another dog that was there that morning going to have surgery too the poor dog was shaking. I bet if you go look at their board any given day you'll see all the dogs names listed that they see for the day. Idk but I will not utilize this place. But, you know what they were knowledgeable about if you guessed payment you're correct. I didn't renew his yearly insurance for $1200/year. I beg you not to take your dog here they are run as a business (corporation). I have been told by Lisa several times it's not about the money inquiring about whether I was going to renew my dogs insurance plan. Manager complaining about another employee to a cashier when I entered the store until I came up to get in the same line. The manager had a bag of crickets in her hand and seemed totally inconsiderate of me waiting to be helped, this went on for almost 5 minutes and another customer came up behind me and waited as well. Once I recognized the lady was actually a manager and not a customer voicing her displeasure, I looked at her sternly which did not seem to make a difference. Then this manager went into the grooming area and continued her verbal displeasure. When I went to get my pick up order another cashier came up with a cart to help the lady behind me and when the cashier who was helping me asked if I could borrow the cart because there is never any in front of the store he said "make sure she brings it back in", wait what? After I got done with the cart I used for two bags totaling 68 lbs I brought the cart right next to him and was going to say something but decided to be mature. No wonder they've put up a 3x5 sign regarding customer service facing the entry door. I hope a "real manager" sees this and reaches out to me or schedules customer service training. read more

I would give more stars, but the workers here are FAILING AT THEIR JOB. Which, basically means so is this company. I understand the goal is to make money and help animals, correct? The first thing I see when walking in are two beautiful harlequin rabbits for adoption. I notice they have huge pieces of carrots a lot of pellets and little to no hay. That already sends a red flag to me, since I have two rabbits. It takes two minutes to google what they need, to know they need A LOT of hay. As well as, too much carrot is BAD for them... plus they're sending the message that it's OKAY to potential adopters and it's not. I bought the rabbits some toys, she had no idea what rabbits I was talking about, didn't know their genders or breeds! How would she help someone adopt a pet that she knows absolutely nothing about? To top it all off they had the rabbits in a small FISH TANK. Lastly, I'm wondering why the woman who was working when I went in at about 11:20 am on Monday didn't tell the gentlemen with the puppy that he probably shouldn't walk it through the store to keep THE PUPPY SAFE FROM GETTING SICK. I actually warned him, to which he thanked me and picked his puppy up stating " It's his first puppy and he didn't even think about how it didn't have vaccinations yet". Petco, you need to do better. When the customers coming in are more educated on the pets you have on site, you know that's a problem. read more

When she went in to pick it up she was told they didn't have my order, if she was sure she was at the right location. With all names and order number and location confirmation she was still told that they didn't have it, with an attitude. After my previous Yelp review and getting a reply from PetCo I have recieved an email thanking me for doing a curbside pickup which never happened as the item was canceled while I was in the store. It was not canceled by me but was canceled by PetCo after I had not heard from them about my order and went into the store after visiting a local merchant. I questioned them about the order and that is when they started checking on the order. But instead of talking to me I recieved a text about the cancelation. I read a bunch of reviews before coming to this Petco and was surprised by my experience. I was looking for a bearded dragon for one of my boys so I checked Petsmart then Petco. I ended up getting him from Petco mainly because of his look, plus Randy(an employee) was so knowledgeable about the reptile. He himself had one at home and helped me get all the right food, lights, enclosure and feeding regiment. Glad I came here last for my little guy. Oh and right now they have 50% off all reptiles, enclosures and supplies :D, can't beat that. read more

When we got there the shelf was empty. We had to go find somebody to help us. came in sunday 4/29/18, noticed multiple people looking for help with the fish/ other areas. then i needed help as well, searched, and the only 2 employees i found were hanging out/ chatting up front. i proceeded to (nicely) ask a long-haired male employee if there were feeder mice/rats available he looked very annoyed and pointed toward the pet mice (about $5 each) a few feet away. (feeder mice/rats are usually $1-3) i looked at them for a 2nd time, just in case i overlooked the feeders. but they were all the pricey pet mice. but my problem isn't their lack of inventory, it was the attitude of the employee! so i thought i should clarify what i was looking for and asked again. (still nicely! my past work is in customer service) this time he was even more annoyed and condescending, and just said that's all they have. (not a quote) and he was not busy or anything, he was literally just standing there. he had no reason to be rude. maybe petco could avoid hiring people who hate life? i now go to local feed stores to support small businesses. its a longer drive from my house but at least they have $1-3 feeder mice, and the owners/employees actually care about how they treat customers. read more
