Leading up to the event, communication was professional and helpful. The issue arose immediately after checkout. Less than an hour after checking out (on the morning following our wedding, while my husband and I were beginning our honeymoon) I received multiple back-to-back emails regarding post-stay issues. Receiving these communications at that time caused significant and unnecessary stress during what should have been a joyful and once-in-a-lifetime moment. While I understand that property standards and rules must be enforced, the timing, volume, and tone of the messages made the situation far more stressful than it needed to be. In my view, these matters could have been addressed in a more measured and considerate way, especially given the context of a wedding weekend. For a property that is marketed and promoted as a wedding and event venue, it would be beneficial for management to be more mindful of how and when post-checkout issues are communicated to clients. A more thoughtful approach immediately following checkout (particularly for wedding stays)could prevent unnecessary distress and preserve what is otherwise a positive guest experience. The property itself was lovely and our wedding was beautiful. Unfortunately, the way the post-checkout communication was handled overshadowed what had been an otherwise positive experience.

I booked a reservation a condo with A1A Realty Associates on St Augustine Island, FL, through Vrbo…read more When I arrived the unit was 77*. It took days for the unit to cool down. The floor was so gross and sticky that I had to mop immediately. Bathrooms rugs were left in the washer. I realized they were in there when they started to stink. There were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher. The condo smelled very musty. I made the mistake of booking a few extra nights with A1A direct versus through Vrbo. After being in the condo for a while, the mustiness was triggering very bad allergies. I called to cancel just the 2nd reservation of 3 extra nights ...2 weeks prior to the beginning of that portion. Even though their cancellation policy is 2 weeks prior, they refused to refund. Again, the first reservation was through Vrbo and the 2nd through A1A ... for the same condo. The few phone calls I had with A1A, she was rude and argumentative. I will NEVER book through A1A Realty Associates ever again. I would never recommend them ever

We had a 3 bedroom, 2 bath... kitchen and all else was reasonably outfitted. We cooked many of our dinners here and had all we needed. Similar for breakfast. We also loved we were just a couple miles from all things St. Augustine tourist-wise. We drove up several days. It was literally a few minutes drive, and there is ample parking at the city garage should you not find other options. We enjoyed several days of walking adventures from there. This is a great home-base property for relaxing or adventuring!

It took us 8 minutes to walk to the fort from their location. They have a parking lot across street from the BnB. You will need one of their parking passes to park there. The breakfast they provide is delicious. They accommodate the vegetarian in our family with a nice breakfast. The rooms are vintage and in nice condition. They provide cable with hbo in each room. We were never in the room to enjoy that. The Friendly service, the comfort, and the feel of being at a vintage home, made or weekend amazing. They do offer military discount.

The communal area was well stocked, and our room and balcony looked exactly as pictured, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Overall, everything about our stay was enjoyable. The Oceanview Cottage was right next door and was larger with 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms on the 2nd floor with parking below. The living room and full kitchen were very comfortable as were the bedrooms/baths for the 4 of us for 4 nights. And it was just a few steps further from the beach. Overall the location was very laid back, clean and great location on Vilano Beach with a very short trip over the bridge into downtown St Augustine. And my sincere thanks to the cleaning staff! They were always very friendly and helpful. This will be the first option I check anytime I return to the area.

I stumbled across this cute cottage when I was looking at BnB options in downtown St Augustine…read more Although the cottage is not located in downtown, it's only 5 minutes away and right on the beach. A perfect combo. There are several cottage options connected with this company but we opted for the Atlantic Suite. Our family members also rented two other cottages including the Royal suite and one other one right below us. The Royal Suite is a bit smaller but has stellar views and a beautiful bathroom with full bathtub and separate shower. Our Atlantic Suite has everything and is perfect for a traveling family. Full kitchen. Dining area. Full roomy living room. Decent sized separate bedroom with King bed. Full bath with shower and separate sink area. We love it! Special amenities: although separate from the downtown main BnB, you get access to their amenities. Happy Hour daily. Wine, beer, and sangria. Appetizers too. And daily free breakfast (or breakfast basket delivered to your cottage). And free downtown parking. As is the case with any accommodation, this place had it's problems/limitations. CONS 1. Doors are not properly sealed so the bugs get inside. 2. The kitchen doesn't have much so you may need things during your stay. 3. Not baby safe. Many outlets including ones on the floor! Also a huge wooden staircase that leads to nowhere. 4. All of the windows are dirty (probably from the beach air and sand) and I dont think they go to the trouble of cleaning them in between guest stays. 5. The pictures of this place were probably done awhile ago because it is super run down in real life compared to pics. Still nice but the pics set your expectations to be higher than reality. 6. If you need anything from the front desk, it might be hours before they can help. This is due to the fact that the cottages are managed by the Inn that's located 10 min away. 7. Rental comes with free full breakfast and Happy Hour but the breakfast is mediocre. Given that it's free, we ate it. Good enough to eat but nothing special (the website makes it seem like their breakfasts are amazing and gourmet).
