This review is primarily for the registration of a boat. More specifically a kayak. The Ohio Division of State Parks and Watercrafts lists Sea Ray as a local registration office. They recommend contacting any listed registration office prior to arrival to determine if they are still registering watercrafts; especially in the Fall. (The office may be out of registration tags.) I called Sea Ray. The person who answered the phone was able to tell me everything I would need to register a kayak. A handful of small boat tags were still available, at the time of my visit. If visiting Sea Ray to exclusively register a boat, make sure to walk straight to the service desk. There they will be able to help with registration. A sign on the front door (September 2019,) reads that there are no boat registrations on Saturdays. Registration is simple. I provided the employee with the needed documentation, and they did the rest. There is a $3 charge for using a credit or debit card. This $3 charge is allowed by the state. If registering at a state agency, they will also charge the fee. If looking for a motorized boat, the showroom at Sea Ray is clean. Step stools are throughout the showroom, making it easier for customers to board the vessels. There were sale signs on many of the boats, granted my visit was at the end of the season. There is also a board with ads for used boats for sale. Near the door are various pamphlets about local waterways, and boat safety. Several pamphlets are geared towards children. If you and your children are new to boating, I highly suggest stopping here to pick up some of the pamphlets. The information is free. read more

My wife and I were in the market for a wake boat. We researched for a few months and took a trip to Searay of Cincinnati. They had a Moomba Craz in the showroom that was very plain and simple the salesperson Gary was extremely helpful and we went into his office and designed a Moomba Max. It's been a stellar year for the boating and RV industry and it never showed at Searay. Gary treated us as if we were his only customers of the year. After a few weeks of more research I called Gary and he said he had a Max ordered and in the way and he asked if we were interested. Fast forward to now, we have a beautiful 2021 Moomba Max! Our family couldn't be any more happier. Gary did an amazing job as well as Dave who got us financed without and problems. Called in to confirm they offer boat registrations, specifically for kayaks. They do until 5pm! The lady over the phone was very nice and reminded me to bring in the brand of kayak, length and hull #. We arrived to a very small parking lot (only reason I'm knocking it down a star). If there's more than 1-2 people in shop, there's really no place to park within reason. The lady at the front desk quickly got our two registrations done and explained how to place our decals. $25 a piece for 3 years per ODNR. My little one and husband enjoyed running around the showroom. They do have a nice selection and small retail shop in the back for life jackets, seat pads and other boat accessories. read more

We were looking to get a used Sea Ray. The Salesman showed us a 26 foot Sea ray. It was nice but big. We told him we were looking for a 21 foot. He offered to sell us his boat. The 210 Signiture was real nice. We got to use it three times in 2020. It had low hours on it and was kept real nice. We are now spoiled by this boat. I recently purchased a 2016 Bayliner VR5 200 hp 4.5 L.at See Ray of Cincinnati... It's a top-notch Marina! The purchasing experience was all good. John and Dave Pearson in sales were very helpful. Dave is a fine asset to the entire Sea Ray organization. I think the VR5's performance is... somewhat underpowered. I do like the boat it is beautiful inside and out, lots of room and storage, cool sports tower... Sea Ray installed a fishfinder GPS unit for me... they mounted the transducer directly in line with one of the runner boards on the trailer which broke the transducer off probably the third time I used the boat, I had to purchase a new one and mount it about 4 inches to the left... When gas goes to seven dollars per gallon on the water I will probably be happier ... and to be fair I keep comparing it to my cousins $100,000 Moomba and that's not comparing apples to apples. The Moomba has more guts out of the hole but the VR5 actually has a higher top end speed. It's a fun boat and I do recommend it. You can downsize and get a 3.0 L, ? I think us old guys like to go fast especially after owning a pair of JetSki's that went over 70 easily and zero to 30 in two seconds read more

Everyone from the top down is very personable, knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. While in Louisville, Ky. lately, a minor engine issue was promptly resolved by a call from the Cincinnati store to their sister store in Louisville who sent a tech to my boat with about 30 minutes. I purchased a 2018 Moomba Craz from Sea Ray of Cinccinnati. The sales / purchase process could not have been any better. Jeff knows these boats inside and out and there were no surprises when I took delivery of the boat. There is a lot to be said when your salesman can talk the talk and walk the walk. There is nothing worse that trying to purchase a wakeboat from a salesman that has never slipped on a wakeboard or even knows what a surf board is. I could not be happier with my new boat. Buyer Beware! We bought a brokered boat from Sea Ray of Cincinnati. In the process of buying the boat, I noticed the boat's lower unit had a lot of corrosion. I asked the salesman about it and he said that most of the time that is just cosmetic and all I would have to do is paint and run it. I also asked about the bellows and their condition and was told they look good. Finally, I asked about whether Sea Ray would check the boat out to make sure there were no major problems with it. I was told that they would look it over before we bought it. Fast forward to today! The boat's entire lower unit needs to be replaced as it is leaking gear oil and has gear teeth missing. The bellows were full of water and need to be replaced as well. The total so far to fix the boat is $7000 and most likely will go higher. I spoke to Sea Ray's service department and they confirmed that they never looked at the lower unit. I also spoke with a manager of the place and he basically said that I get what I get in terms of condition, which is true. If this was a boat being sold by an individual, I would never have bought it, but had more of a comfort level with this purchase because of what was said to me. This was my mistake. I will acknowledge that Sea Ray of Cincinnati offered a 15% discount on parts to fix it which would have saved me $500-$600 (something they didn't have to do, but in the spirit of good will they would) but I was still on the hook for the difference. I write this review to warn future buyers of the pitfalls of buying a brokered boat from Sea Ray of Cincinnati or from any dealership for that matter. It is very obvious that their interest is not customer satisfaction, but acting as a middle man who takes their cut. I will never buy a brokered boat again without having my mechanic inspect it. We brokered our SeaRay 310 Sundancer cruiser through SeaRay of Cincinnati. We picked one of the worst times to try to sell our boat, at the end of boating season. We contacted Gary Daniels, who we had spoken with earlier in the season, and signed the contract. They worked with us on a price for the year and size of our boat. They posted our boat on their website and several others, they also made calls to some people who they had been working with who were looking for a boat. We had two serious potential buyers, one was a customer of Gary's and the other was a customer of one of his colleagues. One of those two ended up being the buyer of our boat. Gary worked with us very closely to try to ensure our boat was in as sellable condition as possible, he stayed in regular contact with us to keep us up to date on any potential sale activity of our boat. He also worked closely with his colleague to make sure he had all of the needed information regarding our boat to close the deal at a reasonable price, considering the time of year.
