After being a faithful customer for at least 10 years (probably much longer as we never went to the other business on the river) this visit was not worth the money I paid. We were given a broken paddle, that we did not realize was broken until the drop off location. Per their documentation they will charge you for a broken or missing paddle, so we opted to just take one and gave the other back to the driver as they didn't have an extra to give us. It wasn't so bad until very close to the exit and we did flip, loosing shoes and many other things. Flipping is a known hazard with one or two paddles, but my complaint is the customer service. In the past, there have always been staff ready to pull you in as you approach the exit. Not this time! This time, my son was waiting to pull us in as the staff meandered their way down the hill. One blonde gentlemen was reading something off his phone and literally never put it down until I said "can you put down the phone and help pull us in!" He was rude and told me to go back and get my one paddle out off the canoe (with his phone still in hand and me carrying bags and without shoes because they washed down the river). One very helpful staff member said he would grab it for me and he did. When I returned to get my deposit back, they didn't offer any type of compensation for the ONE paddle and really didn't seem to care about their staff and the poor service (again, one out of 3 or 4 staff was very helpful and extremely polite).

Only 1 working toilet in the women's ( arrived at 9am) . --2 stars: unloading area at the end was not maintained. ( the staff member said what they had washed away in the spring) no where to pull your canoe to get off . Steep muddy hill to climb up. Someone in our group got hurt trying to get out when unloading . Young children were struggling to get up the steep hill.

Even on the busiest summer holidays, I have never struggled to find parking. There is a really nice fenced in dog area, as well as as a dog section of the beach. If it was closer, we would probably be there a lot this summer as it's a great way to cool down.

You can book your reservations online however we decided to pay up at the desk due to the weather. Didn't know if it was going to rain but it turned out to be a gorgeous day. First it is required to sign a waiver then you check in. There are several options. You can choose between the 2,3,6 or 8.5 mile trek. You can rent tandem kayak, single kayak or canoe. We opted for the tandem kayak $86.00 for the both of us and we did the 6 mile round trip. You pick your life jacket, wait for your name to be called out and you take a bus. From there they will drop you off depending on what mile marker you chose. The staff makes sure to explain where to not go and when you have to be back. Make sure you are back by 7:00 pm. Once you get to the river you pick your paddle and kayak/canoe and off you go. You may hit some rough shallow spots but for the most part, it was smooth sailing. Make sure to pack a small cooler for your drinks. Stay hydrated. We also kayaked to Little Miami Brewing and had a couple of libations. That was fun! Overall the whole experience was great and I had a blast. Coming back the staff was super friendly, helpful and laid back. I would definitely come back. This place rocks.

The kayaks, though, are a molded sit on and the back rest does get a little uncomfortable...especially for an old dude. Were we going to be stuck in the middle of the river for hours?! But no, I was reassured that the short trip (6 miles) would take about 45 minutes, and it did! You can opt for a longer trip down the river (12 miles). If you have young children or reluctant participants, though, I feel like the short trip is the perfect length. Another one of my worries is whether the river would be too high to be safe. It had rained the day before our visit. But Morgan's monitors the river depth whenever it rains, so they're on the ball with that. They seem ready to call it if they felt like the conditions are not safe. I like that. Speaking of safety: They provide you with a life jacket, which you choose yourself before you get your boat. There is a person sitting at the entrance to the life jacket station who I'm assuming is there to answer questions on fit, but we didn't need him. They have life jackets for all ages and sizes. So you start your trip at the livery, and if you choose the 6 mile trip, then you can end your trip at Morgan's campground. This is where we stopped, and we ended our trip by visiting the snack bar and getting a shave ice. There are some picnic benches here and open space to relax. Then there's a shuttle that will take you back to the livery, where you parked. We loved our experience with Morgan's, and if I'm in the area and want to go canoeing or kayaking again, I will definitely be a return customer.

The Friday evening Burgers and Brews tour was a perfect blend of fun and safety, thanks to the competent guide, Norman, who shared his extensive knowledge of the wildlife and history of the Little Miami river. Thanks to Loveland paddle sports, our daughter's 21st Birthday became a fun and memorable day. We knew that we could not bring alcohol on the kayak trip due to Ohio law and the companies guidelines. Loveland Paddle sports seems to be a very Safety oriented and family friendly business so we respected that. But we were fine with that and celebrated with her afterwards during the brew and burger part of the trip with her first legal drink and a birthday song from the entire crew and fellow kayakers. We highly recommend Norman and his team for a seamless and enjoyable kayaking experience. They have the friendliest customer service team. We will be back!!!
