Mechanic screwed me, vanished, and never did the work. I went to retrieve my boat to take it elsewhere to get fixed. On arriving, the owner Leland refused to release my boat because the mechanic who leased space was behind in rent. Said he could confiscate and take title to my boat according to his contract. (Imagine if your auto mechanic didn't pay his shop rent. Think his landlord could hold your car?) I told him this was illegal because I never signed any contract w him, didn't agree to that, and that I'm not the bad guy. I'm the victim of a scam. I just want my boat, and I'm sorry, but he needs to get the rent from his tenant. He didn't like that, and kept squeezing me for money insisting I was responsible. I left. They stalled me for 2 weeks until agreeing. They kept the boat blocked in until the last possible minute. As the boat was being towed out, and I was picking up all the parts the mechanic left out in the dirt, the owner Leland had to come by to insult me and have the last word. Very professional. Seems pretty stupid to harm your reputation over a few bucks. Stay away.
