Her skill level is high at baseline, plus she teaches massage therapy at a local training institute so she is always up-to-date on new and innovative techniques. I prefer Swedish massage but occasionally needed lymph drainage or more medical massage due to workout injuries and she always delivered--light pressure, deep pressure, she does it all! She seems to be one of those people who is a lifelong learner, so when I would ask about a technique or something to assist, she was always consulting books and colleagues in between our sessions and improving her craft. Plus, her professionalism is superb--she always confirmed my massages, ensured we had a good schedule, and communicated clear expectations about what to expect and cost. The price is perfect--it's just enough to where I believe she is being fairly compensated for her work, low enough to where I can afford it 2x/month, and she did not nickel and dime me ($10 for hot stones, $5 for essential oils), like some other places. Her goal seems to be to treat the person's needs and works in a wide range of skills and tools. The ambiance is nice, too. It's on the second floor of an office building, so it has that office feel outside.
